Thoughts, we NEED Hiker-Biker camping facilities at all provincial and national parks! What are they? Well they are camping sites without space cleared for a car! The California state parks charge $10 per site per day! Each site often includes a locker for critter safe food storage, some have device charging, some have bike charging! These should be $15 Canadian dollars! I know very little about the Empire State Trail, but the C&O Canal TowPath has free Hiker-Biker camping, and I feel that someone with a NPS yearly pass should be able to leave a car a the trails HQ without any extra fees, unless you intend to bike both ways I would use Amtrak to go to Washington DC then bike west to the West Virginia. If you are extra punky you could add the Gap to the mix but not all camping on the GAP is free or cheap. NPS Pass, $80 USD camping (C&O) free For me my deal breaker is that all I own as cars are V8 trucks so I'd be sponsoring some big oil executives bonus, I need a cheap car like a Toyota Venza or Sienna which is big enough to camp in!

Any idea what the difference is between the normal and deluxe model? can't find any info on their pag and the only difference i can sus out is the small extra L piece of metal welded near the base, and for an extra $20 (aud) i'm confused on what possible benefit it could give over the normal MIK.

The deluxe has a separate bar for panniers. The base model can not be used with a trunk bag and panniers at the same time. I'm sure if you look more closely you will see what I'm talking about. Safe travels.

    • @WanderingEyeOutdoorAdventures

Hello. So obviously it depends on the rack your using. Of course it has to have separate rails for the bags to mount to and of course overloading your bags will make things difficult. My rack is a MIK rack and in my opinion that sytem works better in conjunction with rear panniers. Here is a video if you want to check it out. Cheers th-cam.com/video/WiJUVXwDZ_w/w-d-xo.html

I find gnarly unmaintained rutted single track less than fun especially with lots of exposed rock or diagonal roots, nice to see you survived, but I do love multi track dirt or non technical single track. I prefer a multi-surface tire like Kenda 26-inch K831 Alpha Bite Tire as it is silent on roads but it has good off center and side knobblies when needed. Used ones can be acquired from the used or broken department store bikes but I have had them last thousands of kilometers on roads Even with your data loss, your videos were great, makes me want to GO!

I’ve had the jones h bar for a couple of years, and I find the different hand positions really help. Your video about that Jones bar pack convinced me that that bag would be useful, I am wondering if that bag is in the way of placing your hands close to the midline of your bike (upper and lower)? Hello Jaque. To be honest looking back my set up was good and I had zero issues. For me the one change I would make is to get all my video recording gear out of my trunk bag and into one of my panniers as the weight was noticeable on the technical trail sections. Also I will be putting a suspension fork on my bike in preparation for the GDMBR next year so I will have that for the BT700. Unfortunately I'm having to much pain in my collarbones so the suspension fork is necessary. I hope you are doing well. Cheers

To you beautiful human, I wish you all the peace and happiness in life. Just wanted to share a practice that has significantly helped me in depression. Wanted to share this with you that maybe it just helps you out even one tiny bit. Please take a holistic approach (meting a counsellor, friends, loved ones, exercise, healthy diet , healthy sleep, taking it day by day), with all that you are already doing. Please try this breathing exercise meditation for a few minutes. Initially you can do this twice a day ,once comfortable you may increase however you feel like. Please try this persistently daily two sessions at least. The method is explained in the video below. Please do try out and have a wonder fulfilled life :) Sit in a comfortable and quiet place. Close your eyes. Each ingress or inhale inwards should carry the word 'Allah' to the core of heart and every egress or exhale outwards should bring the word 'Hoo' out to strike the heart. That would create a rhythm of Allah Hoo in every breath. You should however, not try to make these words with the sound of your breath, because the Zikr is not done with the breath but with heart. This spiritual practice should be done twice a day at least for 5 minutes. th-cam.com/video/GIJlU0lC5VA/w-d-xo.html
