These handcrafted Carpets are very unique to our Persian heritage. Iran is the only country, which has been making this magnificent piece of Art. Yes there are few other countries making carpets like Iran. But there is absolutely no comparison to Persian Carpets. I’m so glad we’re still trying to preserve this national treasure.

Is there a book explaining the design elements that this gentleman explained? The presentation shown is very valuable...there are stags on carpets in other areas as well going back thousands of years[chevron patterns].
Hi Alex, There are many books about the designs, patterns, colors and meaning of persian carpets and where they are coming from. The oldest handmade carpet in the world is a 2500 years old persian one called Pazyryk which it was produced in Achaemenid Empire time. This carpet is being kept in Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia. The most expensive carpet ever sold was an antique Persian carpet sold for 33.76$ million in New york city at Sotheby's auction.
