    I own a Triumph and used to love Triumph as a company but they stopped innovating long time ago, instead they promote and focus on bling & colours. These bikes deserve more.

      That’s ridiculous- they absolutely innovate: the scrambler, the new speed triple RR, the street triple RS, and now pushing into dual sport and dirt bikes - the quality is the best in the business

    One of the reasons the emission regs. make bikes jerky is the low inertia of engine parts compared to car engines so reducing the inertia in the engine and the air injection system combined sounds like a disaster.

    Triumph how can I purchase one of your bikes when your customer service stinks, your company refuses to address the down shifting transmission problems many Triumph owners have experienced and posted on you tube. If you can't stand behind your product how do you expect somebody to feel confident in buying your product.
    So Triumph, your proud that you have kept one British employee pinstriping tanks and fired thousands of British workers and move your production to Thailand. You must be so proud to keep the Heritage alive.

    My new Bonny 1200 is a superb looking bike with many compliments from people when I’m out on it, the finish on it is second to none, but come on Triumph why the bloody hell have you done away with the centre stand how tight can you get, it’s a pain in the arse to oil the chain without it, I’ve now had to shelve out £220 to get one fitted, it’s a retro bike and so should have one as standard especially as the bike is a bit on top price wise in the first place.

  • @marcbranchaud4408

    Nice upgrades on T120 cruise control and brakes but what about the issues with fogging gauges and gear selector shaft?

    • @markkulyas2418
      @markkulyas2418 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      If they would have address these problems and fixed these problems, I'd be down at my dealer purchasing one right now. But how can I trust a company who will not stand behind their product, we all know that companies can have design flaws. All we ask is that a company recognizes a design flaw and fixes it so we can feel confident. Ignoring the problem does not make it go away.

    • @marcbranchaud4408
      @marcbranchaud4408 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@markkulyas2418 I totally agree that is why I sold my 2017 T120. Triumph issued a TSB for the shifter issue with a part number but refuse to recognize there is problem. After being a Triumph rider for 45 years it was time to say goodby for good.

    • @markkulyas2418
      @markkulyas2418 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@marcbranchaud4408 I called my local Triumph dealership and ask them if there was a TSB issued on these bikes, they had no clue what I was talking about. I also tried to have a conversation with the service manager about the transmission problems being reported on TH-cam and his response was that they never heard of these problems, but he did say their Transmissions are bulletproof.
      Even my local Triumph dealerships are going to pretend that there isn't a problem. What I want to know as a consumer from Triumph is what year bikes are affected and what year bikes are safe to buy, or did they even fix the problem,

    Felicidades, gran adquisición, yo tengo la continental y es una chulada, efectivamente es pesada pero ese peso te da un gran aplomo cuando vas en carretera a alta velocidad, y como bien lo dices, en los caminos todo mundo te abre paso como pasa con las motos grandes, no hay semáforo en el que todos se quedan apreciando tu máquina.

    In the guise of a hope I posted an opinion a few days ago. Sadly, this reveal is a tad disappointing. However, my point is validated at the 2:00 mark when the iconic T120 of the sixties is referenced. It’s easy to see what makes that bike so aesthetically sound is how Triumph (and many bikes of the era) eliminated or hid the tank’s pinch weld. Take a look at that bike’s lines, and then look at the tank on the present T120’s - doesn’t the cheap to produce pinch-weld make them look like a tin toy? Just me? I think not . . .

    • @markkulyas2418
      @markkulyas2418 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You sir hit the nail right on the head, that pinched seem tank ruins the entire look of the bike and makes it look so cheap. I can't believe the Triumphs Engineers can't see that.

  • @dominiquejoseph6671
    @dominiquejoseph6671 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    After reviewing the new T120 updates, I realized the real reason why the bike is 15lbs lighter.
    They added cruise as standard, but made the heated grips optional. The center stand is gone too, it's now an optional accessory and so is the once standard equipment chrome grab rail. Price has gone up as well.
    What a disappointment.
    So glad I bought my 2020 Diamond Edition when I did.

    The show-stopper for me with modern Bonnie is the 270 degree crank. Sounds nice but just like a 90 degree V-twin, which shares the same firing sequence. If you're pedalling heritage then you need the right sound. Traditional British twins and the earlier Hinckley Bonnies were 360 degree phased, lumpy but with that gorgeous smooth parallel twin sound. It was the same with Laverda and even the much-respected Yamaha XS650.

    So if I understand this correctly, it would appear that Triumph have dropped the original Bobber (single front disc & 19 inch wheel) completely from the range and replaced it with a Bobber Black that they've fitted a Speedmaster tank to ?

      The original 2017 bobber is no more available. Is it? That would bring the price up for the existing owner.

      @@irfanabdulwahid8594 If you mean a 2017 Bobber would be worth more now then in theory you would be correct. However, the market place is awash with used Bobbers and the supply is outstripping the demand

      Consider yourself lucky, having heated grips. It seems Triumph cut them out on the new model! Who needs cruise control anyways?
