  • "Baroque Flamenco" is a piece written in 2008 by American female composer, Deborah Henson-Conant.
    She said about the piece....
“The first time I heard the melody, was in a Minuet by Jean-Jacques Rousseau. Then I started improvising on it. And, one day, whilst packing up my gear in a rock club in Berlin, I heard Ottmar Liebert’s “Nuevo Flamenco” on the house sound system. I had a revelation: “The HARP … is just one big GUITAR!.. From that moment on, little by little, the piece became a conversation of styles. I wanted to go beyond just the strings, using the soundbox, strums and slaps..." creating rhythm and fire.
It certainly feels free, joyful and fun to play! The score is available from any major harp store worldwide, or from Deborah's website www.hipharp.com/
The score is available as a beginner, intermediate, advanced, or orchestral version.
    Happy Listening!
