Don't put hydrogen peroxide in the clear bottles, though. The reason they come in brown bottles is because light immediately degrades the hydrogen peroxide.
💯 percent TRUE❤
I came here to say this. Very true.
Nice to know. I really didn’t know that 😊
I’m glad you mentioned this. Just as only the amber bottles will keep the light from changing/degrading tinctures, herbs & liquid meds.
Brown bottles or any opaque bottle will work! Thanks for pointing out @lynny6754
LOVE THE TIP ABOUT NOT TAKING THE BACKING OFF CONTACT PAPER
Thanks Lauren!
I line all my cupboards and drawers and never take the back off. It's so much easier.
I also do not remove the backing. This way I can use it over and over again.
I don't really care about every single thing looking "High-End",...but I do love organization, and the first time I watched this I ran to Dollar-Tree (24 mile round trip!) and bought gray locker bins and the little trays to make them stackable. My closet looks so much nicer now!
So happy for you! Thanks for watching.
As an adult I had never lived in a home smaller than 1600 sq ft and my last 3 homes were 2500 and 3000 plus. I've accumulated a lot of stuff over the years but had room for it. My children are now grown. I've remarried and moved into my new husband's home that is just under 900 sq ft, and it was already full of furniture (I am not complaining, it is paid for). I brought a few of my pieces that I really loved, most of them are in his garage which is a bit larger than the house. He had it built for his two antique cars and 2 Harleys, well before he ever knew me, of course LOL! I was very interested to view this video as I desperately need to make space in this house for what I believe are my necessities! I liked that you showed some basic decorating ideas as well as space saving hacks, I need them both! I could only ask that you let the camera linger a bit longer on each finished project and show a wider view. That would be awesome! Thanks for the ideas.
Great suggestions!
I second the motion.
Thanks for the feedback & good luck!
Pods under sink can be too tempting and poison a child….or pet. Please place higher.
FWIW, I PAUSE the video. When it's really good, I play TH-cam on my TV and take a picture with my phone and then go into the gallery and make notes right into the pic! Now I have directions for later!
I wished I could find a Dollar Tree as well organized as yours.
It is crazy how some are so clean and organized, and then there are others. It doesn't always follow depending on the area that you are in, either. Nice areas sometimes have very unorganized, dumpy stores. I try to get to a handful of different DT because sometimes the unorganized ones are the ones with the most products.
Hydrogen peroxide needs to stay in the dark bottle it comes in in order for it to remain usable. One thing I did with the over-the-door hooks you showed was to take off the part that actually hooks them over the door. When I moved I had them but I didn't have a door to put them over so I decided to hang them on a wall to use as wall hooks. I just use nails with picture hooks on the walls but you could also use Command hooks.
opinion about the dollar tree going from 1.00 to 1.25 and plus aisle. I remember going to the dollar tree in the early 90's for the first time (yes I am that old!) and wondering how in the world they could survive selling things for just a dollar. During the pandemic the supply chain had some very big isues and the dollar tree was very depleted and junky......so when I heard that the price was going up to 1.25 per item I was elated because I thought that would expand the quality of the items being sold
In general, I think it did. The variety has expanded. However, there are items that are the same ones and i have to say that I feel resentful for paying the higher price on those items. Given the fact that my hourly pay rate is about 3 times higher than it was in the early 90's, I have to say that I am coming out ahead. You just have to be careful what you buy. sometimes things are NOT cheaper at the dollar tree or the quality is less, But in general, I think that raising the price was needed. I dont think people realize how long that the Dollar Tree was at 1.00. What other store does not raise their price in 30 years????????
Great points! Thanks for watching.
OK! I never thought about water bottles as organizers! That is such a great idea! I do have to say don't put hydrogen peroxide in another bottles unless it is amber colored.
Great tip Melissa!
At 10:59. I love the hack on contact paper where you don’t have to take all the backing off makes it so much easier to put in.
Marion thank you!
I live in a small (under 400 sq. ft.) senior living apartment, but we are not supposed to add anything like Command strips or removable sticky things anywhere. I found your TH-cam channel while looking for Dollar Tree projects to make my small space more livable.
Yesterday, I bought a round party tray and elevated (candy?) dish, as well as two candy jars based on videos I watched of yours. I used E6000 to glue the party tray and dish together and bought the candy jars for washi tape. I discovered my older tape either is all stuck together or doesn't stick anymore. I'm hoping the candy jars will encourage me to use my new tapes because they are more visible now.
Some things I have used the small square containers for are: paper clips, binder rings/clips, push pins, straight pins, the pieces of staple strips that never fit into my stapler, and coins for the community washers and dryers where I live.
Amelia you are brilliant! Thanks for watching.
Great ideas. Thank you. The locker bins with serving trays as a top work great for car trips- everyone can have their own bin. We have also used them for camping trips and airbnb trips. The bins do double duty as dish tubs, and the serving trays can work for food, corralling items on dressers, etc. when you are away. I use the wire racks in my fridge to create mini shelves.
Erin I love this!
Don't label the tops of the spice boxes, label the container itself. The tops get separated and then you don't know what's in the container.
Love the basket and tray lid idea!
So glad!
My favorite dollar tree fridge hack is the clear rectangular containers in the cosmetics section. I use them in the drawers to corral cheese packets and other items that won't stand alone. Adore your channel, been watching for a good while. Thanks for sharing these awesome tips.
Great idea!! Thanks so much for watching!
Just saw this in my feed. I’m always looking for new things for my home like this to help with mobility issues.
I like the placemats in the fridge shelves, though I’ve been using the clear cutting mats so I can still see the bottom shelves. I’m thinking I’ll use the place mats for shelf liners though - easy to clean, and cuts down on the noise of moving things. 😬
I’m not sure I have much opinion on the price increase… I mean, I was a little miffed for a while, but then I remembered how much I miss the 5 & Dime. Prices just go up, I guess. 😂 I was just happy that I could drop only $15 on parts to make my bedroom more accessible, and finish the project in less than 20 minutes. 😁
Ya’all have a great day!
Great tips and thx for watching!
We have gone from a 3 bed home to soon to be tiny home. The ideas are creative and useful. Im going to start collecting!! Thank you.
You are so welcome!
I worked at a group home and the bathroom products shelf was always a mess and it never got cleaned, so i got some of those Handled Boxes, I put a clients name on each handle and replaced bath items into each person's bin. I put them back on the shelf, nice, neat organized, and easy to reach! Those bins are genius!!!
New subscriber. My husband and l (we are seniors) have just moved from a home with 3,000 sq feet of living space + a 2 car garage to a 1300 square foot apartment . We happy with our choice although it’s been an adjustment. Thank you for all the space saving ideas. I shall keep watching.
Judith you are my people! Thx for watching.
I got a round pill organizer . I wrote on the back for advil, aleeve, Imodium, Tylenol, ect. I then put it in a baggie. I carry it in my purse everyday. I first took it on vacation. Love it.
I found a couple of those shelf risers at a thrift store. I put one under my kitchen sink. The riser is large enough to slide a letter tray under it. That is where I store smaller items like new sponges, magic erasers, and the sink stopper. When I need something all I have to do is slide out the tray and remove what I need.
You are brilliant!
I use the cutting mats for shelf liners because they are easier to see in the fridge!
Shannon, we sold our home in the country 2 yrs ago. We had to grab the first rental we cld cause here on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi they rent like hotcakes. The home is about 3/4 as small as our previous home n absolutely no storage areas. Your tips have helped me tremendously. We have gotten rid of sooo much n still have tooo much. Lol! I have an abundance of 8 x 11 scrapbook backgrounds n cut out pictures I use for that purpose n also to cover journals, notebooks, etc. To make them unique. If you or u know someone who has a need for these things, let me know n I'll gladly mail as much as I can....FREE! I'm a stickler at not wasting things n feel terrible if I have to throw something away.😮.
Thanks for allowing me to vent. Lol!
God bless u n urs
Marguerite from the Mississippi Gulf Coast
Marguerite you made my day! Parting with things can be hard but so rewarding. Keep it up!
You're not only amazing, you're a Sweetheart!❤
How kind! Thank you.
11:11 i use one of these to organize over-the-counter medicine in my purse… just mod-podge one of the labels from an older & smaller bottle onto the little lid-parts so you always know whats what you can also mod-podge some pretty wrapping paper over the outside-bottom too to pretty it up
I love your hacks and would love the label maker.
I live in a 32 ft 5th wheel..thanks for a couple tips I never thought of 🥰
Happy to help!
great suggestions/ideas-I like to use storage buckets in the freezer for veggie bags, etc. Easy to grab and pull out.
Great idea!
I go to Dollar Tree constantly. Enough that most of the staff know me. I bought a whole bunch of organizers and was able to organize my bathroom, but my house is more than a disaster. My house is only about 350 sqft. It looks like my neighbors shed lmao. Their house is massive. I have accumulated so much stuff over the years and so has my boyfriend who lives with me. I’ve tried and tried but it’s hard to even figure out where to start. It’s very overwhelming. My storage unit is just about full , too. I really like watching your videos. I’m gonna keep watching them for inspiration! I’m not a creative person whatsoever. I think that’s my problem.
Caitlyn you can do this!
With those locker bins and tray storage space hacks, I would E6000 the tray to the bottom of the top locker bin. That makes one movement out of getting into the bottom bin.❤
Girl, I just love your ideas. I have trouble sometimes coming up with storage or organizing ideas.
Jessica so glad!
The litter box omg thank you I never thought of that WOW
Thanks for watching!
I love the contact paper, they have some beautiful designs
Just saw you on TH-cam, thought I would try to see what you had as I need some organization in my life really bad . You have great ideas! Love them all! Thanks!
Jeanie glad we found each other!
Around your 3:15 part where you're talking about screw top glass container.. unless they're smaller than they appear, you can also take a clue from the 1970s, where housewives put rice, grits, oatmeal, just about anything used daily and want quick access to. They put them in very similar containers! Just more Food For Thought! 😋
The soda containers for the refrigerator are also the right size for canned goods. I live in a studio apt so my kitchen is VERY small, I’d been gifted with a kinda mismatched wood shelves & it fits perfect in the kitchen on the wall between my bathroom & a small closet…I use that for my pantry.
Thanks for the tips!
I make ice inside the small cube containers that you used for spices. You can stack them in the door of your freezer inside a DT small container.
Great idea!
The spice idea is great for spices you measure or grab in pinches, as long as youve got the space to store the rest of the spices left in any bottle bigger than a couple ounces. I absolutely love the 1st one with the trays! I didn’t know the bigger ones fit some of the other bins. Will be trying!
Thanks for the feedback!
@@shannonskiptomylifeshannon can I ask you something yes
6:03 flip one of them over, paint or decorate the exterior and cut a slot in the bottom and can use for a decorative/reusable tissue and dryer-sheet boxes lol just a thought
I'm new and I was just strolling
Thank you for the sliding Matt for your appliances!
I was just going to purchase some on Amazon 4 for $12 which I felt to be a good price!
BUT
Now I can do it for $5!!! Heck yes!
Only difference is
The Amazon ones also a thick silicone and protect the counters from heat like from the air fryer
Fantastic!
I glued felt on the bottom of a big ceramic tile to set my air fryer on.
Love you’re tips and tricks. Some of which I have not seen. Ty so much.♥️🥰
You are so welcome!
The little square containers that you put ur spices in I used for my beads, large ones.
The clear acrylic drawers are Great!! I glue a couple on top of each other n they r great for jewelry or making a little girl a jewelry box with the drawers n lining them with pretty shelf paper to hold jewelry in place.
I use the clear flexible cutting boards from Dollar Tree under my coffee
The cereal c9ntainers work well for storing dog food! I just put my dog's food in one and set it on top of the fridge. Now I need a splution for the dog treats.
Today I picked up 5 trays and 5 bins. I could not get all white but it is ok. I might contact them later. I will organize my greeting cards. I love it. Our store has no food either.
Great job!!
Your dachshund is adorable. My Mum got us one when I was 4 and we’ve had one (or a pair) ever since.
Susan I’m in love with them!
Great ideas. Now I just need time to transform everything.
Lisa 20 minutes at a time…
11:34 i use little jars like this for making homemade lip scrub (just equal parts sugar or salt with warmed virgin coconut oil) fyi this makes a great gift/stocking-stuffer
I love your channel and would like to see a tour of your downsized home. Your ideas are amazing. Thank you so much❣️
Thanks for the idea!
I loved the mats for the refrigerator and the coffee station I'm about to do. Also the stackable. Thank you very much 😂
Sarah my pleasure!
Just found you. Love your ideas using Dollar Tree trays for covers. Having little else to do, I find myself remaking my small spaces over and over again, not landing on the idea that works best for me. I’m adding you to my subscription list, looking forward to more ideas.
Thanks Ann!
Wonderful idea's!!! Thank you Shannon!!!
You are so welcome!
Awesome inexpensive, functional and pleasing to the eyes organizational ideas. Thank you Shannon! We are a family of 5 who live in a small house, very small kitchen and close to no storage space. So I’m greatly in need of help with functional organization, especially on a budget. Love your idea to decant spices into labeled small square containers but noticed in the video that you still had different bottles that still contained spices. What do you do or where do you store those containers? Luckily we have a Bulk Barn where I live so I can buy any spice in the predetermined weight of the container but I struggle with other items we need to buy in bulk to save money. For example: I fill up a bin from the enormous bag of flour for daily use but can’t find the best way to store the remaining flour, same with dry cereals for the kids and the plethora of toilet paper etc. Although I do love the appearance of TikTok organized fridge’s and kitchens, for our house it’s more about affordable functional organization so that we have enough space for kitchen necessities and our 3 kids can remove to use or replace any item needed…without it becoming similar to a Jenga tower that is going to topple down everywhere with every single move. Shannon I love your channel and am extremely thankful for all you do to help us.
❤ from Shannon in Canada 🇨🇦
So so sweet of you! You made my day! Yes, I do keep a “backstock” of refills in a hard to reach area of my cabinets. I find it’s a good use for this awkward space. Your family is very blessed to have you!
If you don't mind spending the money, back when we had one of those bulk bins stores, too (I MISS IT!), I bought a spice carousel. Don't be embarrassed to ONLY buy what you need that week (sometimes it was 3 Tablespoons of things!), and then I filled that slot. I'll let you look up spice carousel. I got the double one.
IF you have the room, buy a bigger container with one of those big twist on lids for preppers for things you really need in bulk, like flour. Otherwise you'll have to go more often.
Can he make you a tiny pantry in the corner of the garage and put a curtain on front of it?
I love your ideas. I love the rinestone stickers with the reusable bags. How cool is that. Great ideas girl. I love your channel
Thanks so much!!
Thank you. Great organizing ideas. I found you because I watch a lot of Dollar Tree organize. We finally got a Dollar Tree Plus and I love it. I do watch Bargain, Bethany and Kathryn from Do it on a Dime. Love those ladies too. Thanks again.
Sophia my pleasure!
13:14 these are great if you have a lot of condiments
Oooo this was great! Under sink storage can be so difficult!
So true!
Great video! I use placemats to line my shelves in my refrigerator too! Wonderful hacks! Thank you so much! I definitely will be using them!
I use the flexible plastic cutting mats to line my fridge. The translucent white really brightens up the fridge! And like the placemats, they are so easy to cut to fit and also remove to wash, as needed. Thanks, Shannon, for all your great ideas!
You are so welcome Holly!
One thing that stuck out to me is storing peroxide in a clear container....it needs to be stored in a dark container....I'm not sure why but I know it needs to be stored in a dark container for the chemical make-up to continue to work
Hello! I found this channel looking for dollar tree organizing ideas. I have subscribed an look forward to all your innovative ideas.
Thanks for subbing!
I want to live in a world where I need continuous storage space for both large and small marshmallows.
Wow. You are good
Good ideas.
I am new and found you when I was looking for organization tips. You have great tips and I will be using a lot of them. Thanks!
You are so welcome!
Super Great idea with the coffee maker mat!
Maria thank you!
Beautiful 😊
Hi !!! I'm from West Virginia and I loved your video ❤!!! I use all kinds of storage things from Dollar Tree.
Thanks so much Marilyn!
2:12 i used E6000 to glue the bottoms of these to a board and use it to organize my buttons that i have a lot of that wont fit in the little tackle/organizers at dollar tree but i like the way you stuck them in the clear bin lol
We will be moving soon and these hacks come at a perfect time for me. Thanks you.
Sooo glad!
Love themall
This might be the first Dollar Tree hacking video I like. Really like. I totally need to save this video.
You made my day!!
Hello from Ontario Canada Love your show
Thanks for watching!
Thank You😊
Thanks
I like the stackable look better under your sink.
I'm like many others in your community here. Moving out of two story House with two beautiful decks into tiny apartment! No pantry, no utility room, only one linen closet and one small coat closet. Did i mention I'm a kitchen gadget hound? We're in trouble!
(If you've ever seen a fourplex, we're moving into one of those.
Jennifr you are in EXACTLY the right place. I created this community for you. I promise I made the switch and you can too.
Thank you
9:20 if you rent, use clear command strips to hang these on your bathroom wall above the sink (that is if you need more vertical storage l do lol)
Some of your ideas I have used b4 I found you out of need, however gave me more ideas.I haven't found the wire risers at dt in the sizes I need all the time .But the comment re.using a letter tray under a riser was helpful. Also I wasn't thrilled when they added the $3$5 aisle till I found 2 Mohawk bath rugs $ 10 instead of $ 40 or $50 Yeah!.NOW CLOSET SPACE,EVEN THOUGH GOT RID OF MANY THINGS CHANGE OF SEASON UNDER EVERY PCS OF FURNITURE.& I'M DISABLED AND TRYING TO MAKE SOME SPACE FOR 2 MORE THATS 4 PEOPLE CLOSETS THAT WERE MADE IN THE 70'S HAD MORE SPACE IN APTS THAN THE HOUSE
If your rather artistic, you can use the variety-packs of acrylic paint-pens to decorate the bags then seal it with some of the blue-label mod-podge for it to be water-proof (i think that one is dishwasher safe?)
Those little containers are great for craft paints etc
Laurie I agree!
Great tips
i use the plastic egg holder as an ice cube tray
Love this idea!
Some very good ideas, Ido like your label printer.
Thank you Cynthia!
Love this. Never would have thought of these. Found you searching through other channels
Thank you!
I love your ideas and enjoying the video! I would love to use those ideas to organize my house, but I seem to never have the time for organizing 🤪! Having an organized house would be awesome! I would love any advice that helps!
Marva one tip that worked for me is to set a timer for 15 minutes and clean out a drawer. A lot of times I am so happy with the result that I want to keep going! Thanks for watching.
I just found you today and I'm so happy I did. I'm glad I saw all of your ideas. They're all so great! I love the basket with the handles and the soda holders. So, have a blessed day and thank you for sharing your ideas.
Tonya you made my day!
Happy Fri-yay, Shannon! Another great video packed full of wisdom. I love those handled baskets & Hope my DT will get some more in soon. Have a fabulous weekend my friend! ❤
Hi 👋
You are so welcome Monica!!
Great ideas. Thanks for sharing
Tina thank you!
I love this so much TY!!! I have a smaller-older home, not alot of closets- 3 in whole house 😢or storage, no pantry in kitchen. So over the years we have tried to utilize every inch and sometimes its hard to be creative and look good too. I don't have a labeler or a printer to make those beautiful lables either. Honestly I wouldn't know where to begin. I'm excited to try to find the labeler u used in the video.
❤😊
Dollar tree sells labels you can write on. Look in the school supplies if you don’t see them with the crafts.
Victoria you can do this! Have you ever tried making a “vision board” for how you would like your home to look & feel? Thx for watching.
I just came across your channel great ideas.I'm moving by the first of August to a new apt. the kitchen is really small and I really need some good ideas how to get more in my kitchen. Jody......

Love the stacking idea!
first time visitor great ideas
Thanks and welcome
Hreat video, My favorite was one of your hacks is using the party trays as lids for the bins. Here is one of my hacks: use the soda can holders in your pantry to hold canned goods.
Thanks for the tip!
I was just watching organizations ideas videos and happened to see yours and pressed on it. I love 💕 what I saw 👀 and stated till the end
