    Jesus considers it a special journey to walk us through our pain. There’s so much more than pain going on in that journey. There’s sooooo much more going on in the middle of the pain.

      I saw that first in a collection of ancient quotes for pondering. About that time a friend that had just moved away said that I was “a lost opportunity for a friend,” because we had always been too busy. Soon after, wisdom of an old rabbi caught me perusing a book in the public library. He explained a texture to reality/life, aligning it with light and dark, how we see only because light casts shadow as interrupted by objects seen, enabling perception of depth and more. Likewise, while we cannot see the light itself, it is necessary, like the dark, for our seeing. If we saw the light itself we’d not perceive whatever it Illuminated.
      Oh how I longed to go back to that book, but the library moved and I’d forgotten the title and author. Apparently I am to derive my own wisdom, albeit affected by such as that one book and others and so many life experiences.

    It is doubtful whether God can bless a man greatly until he has hurt him deeply." -- AW Tozer
    Pain is the crucible for familiarity with God and the more precious the vessel, the deeper the pain. When Abraham had to give up Isaac the pain cleared his head a bit and gave him a better vision of Divine Majesty. It seems like God takes no hostages when making space for his blessings 😭😭😭

    Interesting to say the least - and now I’ll use my Laurie words - OMG - you nail it lady . Right here right know I just listened to a plethora of enlightenment and confidence and every thing I have commented on recently on your works . I realize that teaching was from awhile ago and I have just started walking on my journey a year or so ago but you know what - I must be right on time !! . Day lights burning for me but I believe I’ll get what I need before I go home . I was wondering why most of my people have finished there race and here I am“ walking by a street light with no name” . So I’ll embrace every nudge or flick ( lol) I get and let it swirl around till it lays itself out and I’ll trudge along my journey with a much lighter load and seeing that bright light is no more a train it’s , a street light . Nicely done eh ! Cheers 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

So yes my best friend has gone already just recently Jan 11 2021 . She is here with me daily ! I have found so many dimes on the floor in my truck , everywhere and I get this tingling like - oh ya she is so here with me . There is other mystery stuff that happens as well with me on my journey . So ya I know where I’m going and that’s to be with my ppl . When all is said and done is what I’m taking about .total unconditional love . It’s well worth the wait as I stand firm and be patient . Thanks eh - Laurie from southern Alberta -🇨🇦🇨🇦

      @@jarimakook this is not a fair perspective. From what I’ve gathered she chose to divorce him with the only reason given: that she was tired of fighting and had given up. He publicly stated that he was confused and wanted to restore their marriage by all means, which I believe she said she was not open to. This should be addressed publicly and I do not like her and Bethels secrecy around it, but this has been a trend.
      I don’t agree with him remarrying on a strictly theological level, because that is breaking his covenant with God, but she definitely seems to have broken hers first, and is now welcomed back on stage to teach and lead worship. I know some scriptures that might disagree with that, regardless of what they find comfortable and what they prefer to keep private.

      I believe so. She refers to Genesis (when & how we were created, when sin caused us to fall from God’s designed nature for us), Romans (how we are justified, sanctified, are being transformed and restored), Mathew, Mark, Luke (Jesus and our death / crucifixion, resurrection), James (the trial of our faith, as in being passed through the fire), and many references to the presence of the Holy Spirit, Jesus as our Hope and Savior, and God as Our Heavenly Father. Yes, it’s scriptural, feel free to dig up some scriptural references when you have some time. It is founded on the Word of God.

      Interesting question. The part about DNA is spot on. The Bible refers to it as generational curses (the flip side is blessings). Soooo much of the way a person thinks (baseline attitudes, extrovert/introvert, etc) is inborn, and we spend the rest of our lives improving from there, first getting saved and then working out our salvation, with God's grace. It is also true that shame is taught. It is also true that when a person feels shame, they get "smaller" as she said... and learn to fake things because their honest way of being has been shamed. The one and only area of her talk i'm not sure about is that we come into this world with inborn goodness. It is true we have innocence as babies, but we also have a genetic predisposition for sin (especially selfishness... just watch kids play in the sandbox) that requires that we be born again to begin to be freed from those inclinations.

  • @christianwoudenberg3393
    @christianwoudenberg3393 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I am sorry but can she plainly and publicly address why she chose to divorce her husband? By all accounts it wasn’t on the biblical grounds Jesus put forth. It is breaking a covenant with your spouse and with God and considered a sin that does disqualify us from certain involvements in leadership. Especially if we are doing it in a position of leadership as a believer.
    Don’t get me wrong, I appreciated her worship before (recent album was strange to me), and I prayed for her husband and her to be restored which he openly said he wanted. God did not tailormake a road of divorce and hell and suicidal thoughts for her, this seems her own doing and to teach that this compares to the suffering and testing of Jesus Christ seems mildly blasphemous to me.

    Ok I just have to throw this out there - all inherently good by our lineage - from the very beginning must be ..eh ! We don’t know shame till we are taught it - so I’m assuming ( I shouldn’t do that , I’m aware) that if a wee person( fetus ) was or had shame like say hmmm being adopted out let’s say from a girl that was very under age - knowing full well said baby was going to be given up . Don’t get me wrong because said child I’m sure ended up with the best parents ever , born from the heart so to speak but back in let’s say the late 50s totally frowned on . Would that carry over into said child’s subconscious ,shame etc ? And then have an underlying feeling of low self worth etc etc .. and not know why !! But always having footprints to go to as I’m sure said child was taught the Christian path . Do you know what I mean ?? Yes I’m sure as you said , three weeks in , can I have a hug please is creepy indeed as well as hilarious so hypothetically speaking of coarse . Hmmmm I say ! See I did it again - rabble on and on kind of . Articulate I believe has been used about me and I’m sure “oh my it’s that lass from southern Alberta again , on and on - shhhh no eye contact -- baahaaa or better order another round 🤭. So if this query makes one’s head spin - it’s all good eh . Now I have to order another round as we do up here . K k whew I say - k later lady and cheers . 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
