'I think this is one of her first tours' like... Uhhh, yeah girl! The VIRGIN Tour was her first tour on purpose... 🤦♀️😆🤣 Lol LMK what you all thought, though!! & HAPPY 'Madonna Monday' BABES!! 🥰😘🥰
I'm old, my first concert was at 14, The Who's That Girl World Tour. I remember her going back to her first album and Lucky Star and Boderline being new on MTV. I had the VHS of this concert and I wore it out! Everything she did during the tour made headline. The Bras outside her shirts made it on to people magazine. It was said she iced her nipples before she came back out on stage after she changed clothes. She cut in baby bangs at the start of her tour. Her crosses, her tights, her make up, all mad ethe news. She had the Beastie Boys open. It was non stop press. I can't stress how famous she was. Taylor Swift is pretty close to where Madonna was in the 80's.
*She is actually singing and sounds amazing. I can't believe people who said she could not sing before her vocal training for Evita. she didn't even have a backing track* 🌈🏳🌈
🥰😍😝 Haha that's ICONIC!! &! ALSOOO!! 😆 You're the kind of M. Fan/Stan that I've beeen trying to Reach!! So PLEASEEE Haha come back for the next Madonna Monday!! 🥹🥰😝 Haha &! Thank you, genuinely!! 🫂💃❤️ For watching, Babe!!
I was 16 back in Lima 🇵🇪 Peru .. when she burst to the world .. literally from one week to another she was known all over the globe .. her music was played in all radio stations all at once .. was my first year in college.. and I felt in love with her .. and I have all the vinyls and cassettes and posters .. all I dreamt was to see her one day in concert .. I saved money and my first concert I attended was in Buenos Aires Argentina 🇦🇷.. eventually I moved to NYC .. I’ve seen Madonna 23 times … last December and January in the Celebration Tour .. now I am 56 .. and Madonna has been the soundtrack of my life .. and I m so glad o got to live this lifetime with her ..
I have a VHS copy of the Virgin Tour in my VHS collection. I had it since I was a year old back in 1985. I really like this concert because it was before the theatrics and it focused on just the music.
@@armandoucles5346 That is SOOO Awesome, Babe!! It truly is insane how impactful & important!! This Woman 👠 👑 truly is!! 🥰 &! I am JEALOUSSSS 😝 Haha of that VHS 📼 Tape! 🤣 I NEEEEED More M. Merch!?! 😆 Hahaha
I used to have this concert on VHS. I’ve been a fan since the beginning of her career. And yes there are many of us older fans that still love her ! I saw such a mix of all ages at her Celebration Tour . It’s good to see the younger generation loving this amazing Queen of Pop ! Thanks for sharing this amazing concert and carrying on her legacy !
Ahhhhhhh! Yes! Back to the beginning. Iconic. Yes it's her 1st tour! Previously she'd done little guest spots in clubs and such with her old bands, and a couple of times solo. She does Live Aid a month after this tour finishes and explodes worldwide. Tickets were in such demand they had to put her in bigger venues than initially planned. It was just North America. The opening track Dress You Up was also the official music video for that single. Every song was a hit single. Unfortunately Borderline, Burning Up, and Angel were cut from the video release due to time constraints/Madonna not being happy with the finished product. No other singer had ever danced as much in a concert (Michael Jackson's first tour was 2 years later). Most concerts were someone standing in front of a microphone with a band behind them. Madonna brought dancers and choreography and completely changed the game. Every single tour pushed the boundaries of live performance. Also the tambourine toss is as iconic as the fan flip during Vogue VMAs. Yes, that's her real grandma she does a shout-out to.
Awesome debut tour opening that she’s coming down the stairs from a haze-as if from the heavens-like she’s a modern secular version of the religious icon she’s named after; cloaked in an astral jacket with crystal crosses on the right chest, wearing crucifixes as earrings and pendants including a rosary, her eyes gleaming like stars-and 39 years later in her Celebration Tour after her near death experience, she appears on a circular stage from a haze of smoke/clouds as if she came through that huge overhead cosmic ring, this time wearing a black robe with gleaming crystals, wearing a halo crown with twinkling lights-this time, her 40-year artistic journey has come full circle, she’s come back to rightfully claim her status as a pop music and cultural icon.
Hello, this can be considered Madonna's first tour because before this one she only performed in small venues where she sang a few songs. However, only the DVD of the tour is official: vinyl, CD, blu-ray are bootlegs.
I loved watching your reaction to this tour and yes, I've been a fan since around these days when the lucky star video came out in 1984! This tour was everything to me even though I didn't get to go cuz I was too young, but I got to watch it when it came out on VHS and it helped me get through my type 1 diabetes diagnosis she just gave me so much positive energy! Later in 1992, I would perform this version of everybody in a talent show lip syncing and I got second place! I learned all the dance steps and everything :-) my first concert was 1987 and the who's that girl tour and I hope you'll react to that one eventually, but we'd love to see part two! Of your experience going to see the celebration tour and big hugs!
Haha YESSSS!! 🥰😍👏 Lol welcome, Babe!! 😆❤️😝 Funny enough, the Playlist starts in my Ex's parents Basement! 🤣 (When we were living there!! 😂😅) And I've traveled SOOOO Much over the Years in these Videos!! 🤣🥲 & Some INSANITY Has happened over these past couple of Years!! 😂 As well as SOOO Much personal growth! 🙏 It's such a WILD!! & Also cool (to Mee 😆) Playlist! ESPECIALLY With me having NEVERRR Seen M. Live!! To having seen her TWICE!! 🥰👏🙏🥲 Hail the Queen! 👑 & Seriously, thank you SOOO Much for commenting & making me smile! 🥰🥲 Haha
Happy Mother F*ckinging Madonna Monday! It's fantastic looking back at her early years. She was fearless, had attitude and so much energy. That mixed with megawatt star power, intelligence and talent - it was almost inevitable that she was to become an ICON. She was the equivalent of Taylor Swift of the mid 80's to early 90's and beyond but had potentially even more global impact. Great reaction MRB
A curiosity about this tour, it was never discovered why in the official DVD were cut 3 songs that were also released as singles Angel, Bordeline and Burning Up
From the BOTTOM Of my heart!! ❤️🥹❤️🩹 Thank YOUUUU!! 🫂 Haha as I've said in the past, there's LITERALLY A Guy that copied my 'Madonna Monday' Day idea 😭🤣 & Makes $100s of Dollars a Month doing those Reactions on Patreon!! 😆 So... From the bottom of my HEART!! ❤️ Thank you so much, JC!! 🥰🫂🥰 I promise!! & Assuming that TH-cam WILL... 👀😭🤣 Let me React to ALLLL The Tours!! 🥰🫂😝 I promise that I'll do my best to have one of these EVERY 'Madonna Monday' 🥰😘🥰 Haha so thanks SO Much again, Babe!! 🥹🫂❤️
YESSSSSS! I hope you are gonna do all the tours in order so you can see the growth. I love, love, love this tour. This is the era where I fell in love with her! Been a hardcore fan since 1984. I was too young to see this tour (it's her first) and the next one. My first time seeing her was Blond Ambition live in person, and it was everything. I love that you loved it. She is a legend!! This release is mssing three songs though, "Angel, Burning Up, and Borderline" were cut from the home video release sadly. You can find fan videos of them online. Angel is one of my all time faves! Love Madonna Mondays, love her, and love you gurl.....................
Your hat is kind of a Madonna hat since she had her book S*X back in the early 90s. If you don't have it, you need to buy it for your Madonna collection!
A little fact: one of the dancers Michael Perea died of Aids a few years after the concert and his picture was one of those displayed during Live to Tell on the Celebration tour.
If you're going to react to all of Madonna's tours in order, you should not skip the "mini" concerts she did. The Virgin Tour was her first tour - followed by the Live Aid performance. In the Live Aid concert, she sang 3 songs "Holiday," "Into The Groove," and "Love Makes The World Go Round" (LMTWGR is the only concert performance she gave for this song off the True Blue album). At the Live Aid concert, she also was onstage to sing "Revolution" with the band The Thompson Twins. :)

Hometown show and first tour! Madonna was really talking to her own grandma in the audience lol.
26:25 Gambler is EVERYTHING 💣🔥💯
Madonna was on fire this whole tour!
Literally a LIVING Legend!! 😍😝 Haha

I love the photography by future Hollywood Blockbuster director Jan de Bont ("Twister"). "Dress You Up" is a wonderful show opener!
