There were some of you that wanted to know how to use the "M" Hooks on clay pots. Here's the video showing you how: I just posted a video showing how to use the "M" hooks on clay pot. Here ya go: th-cam.com/video/e9dxf_V6s1I/w-d-xo.html
Thanks...they've changed the way I'm hanging my orchids and I have to say wish I would've thought of it much, much sooner. It would've saved me sooooo much frustration.
Thank you. I got so frustrated with the hooks that I was using and had to come up with a more functional way especially since majority of my orchids were now going into my orchid kennel and I was going into a hanging pot overload. Thank goodness I manage to come up with this because it makes orchid growing life so much easier. YAAAAAAAY!
I am glad to have been able to do it with your help. Thanks so much for suggesting. I had been struggling with pots and containers constantly tipping over until here recently I got so tired of it I decided to try to make something that could give better balance...and low and behold it worked. LOL! I never once thought about how many others may benefit from these hooks and may be going through the same frustration....so thank you. I couldn't have done it without you! Wishing you the absolute best in your orchid adventures and HAPPY GROWING! :)
Thanks Maria! I moved all of my orchids in to the shadehouse last year and I definitely need to move them off the ground haha. So excited to try this! It's people like you that make the orchid hobby better for everyone by sharing hacks and tricks like these. Ever grateful, hopefully oneday I can pass this knowledge onto our orchid society as well! Happy growing to you too 🌸
They have been a game changer in how I hang and grow my orchids! I am so happy you will be able to use this idea in your growing journey. I hope that it will prove to be as beneficial for you as it has for me! HAPPY GROWING!
Thank you...being a person grows orchids in several types of containers I've always struggled with my containers tipping over and wobbling to and fro...it was only this year that I came up with this idea and was amazed at how well it worked with my new growing environment. I didn't think about how there may be others that were struggling with the same frustration until someone asked me about my hooks. I am glad that she brought it to my attention because what someone might think is trivial might be the very thing that someone is in need of. I also love the new way I am displaying and growing my orchids...I really get to have a one on one relationship with each one versus all of them being massed together and lost in the background. I'm glad that you feel the same way. Much love to you Ivette and hoping that you have an amazing blooming year! HAPPY GROWING MY DEAR! :)
Although your orchid tree was so lovely and unique, I really like your current set-up. It's much easier to see all of your beautiful plants and now they better bloom for sure because they're already in the dog house! 🤣❤
Maria! This is what I have been looking for! What a life changer this is going to be! Those s style hooks are so unstable no matter how much you try to squeeze or tinker with them. 🤗🤗🤗😎😎😎😁😁😁. Thank you!
Kelly Duguay I am so glad that this will benefit your growing adventure as well...and it has been a life changer for me!!! No more hanging frustrations...I JUST LOVE IT!!! I just hung up a massive birdcage with a grammatophyllum and couldn't believe how easy it was and how balanced it held it in place!!! HAPPY GROWING and my all your hanging adventures be happy ones!!! 😄😁😊
Thank you and hey there you!!! It was truly my pleasure to meet you...you were the highlight of my day! I am hoping we bump into each other again soon! Thanks for watching and HAPPY GROWING!
Sorry about that I should've gave a close-up on the hook and the pot...If you look at the 2nd white wire container I first showed, it gives a clearer view of how it's done. The clay pots that I used have a slit hole going part way up the pot, I used a longer M hook and allowed the back end (with long extension) to be inserted into the pot holes reaching all the way to the top rim of the pot and wrapping over the lip of the pot to hold it in place. I hope that made sense. Thanks for watching and sorry for the confusion.
This is great! It DOES work “so much mo betta”. Lol. Thanks Maria! ...and I never heard orchiholics, but that’s a good one! U so funny! Indee-dee-doo! And another thing... I love your creative finds for mounting/planting. Great ideas! Like, what was that?? A tortilla chip basket from a restaurant? Freakin great!! You inspired me (from your previous videos). I asked the waitress at “Ford’s Garage Burgers” if I could have the French fry basket, which are mini metal deep fryer baskets with a little handle and of course, I put a vanda in it! It’s so cute. I’ll get you one next time I go if you want! 👍
Yes, me too... 🥺i kinda think FB is evil for some reason. But still, I DID recently sign up with a nick name only and no photos, just so I could see stuff like Maria’s, ya know... And my husband has an account(?) so I gotta see what he’s up to! 😂 I’m actually addicted to you tube, I think I might need help. 🤔
GASP!!! You mean I wasn't famous before???? Ha ha ha! ...and yes Danni has referenced me before in a couple of her videos...and usually if she references you it's either she strongly agrees, disagrees or finds something beneficial or interesting with it or about it. So hopefully she referenced me in a good way. Either way she is always about sharing her experiences and trying her best to benefit our orchid growing community. I'll have to check it out...thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Maria, where did you get your Terra cotta pots with the slits cut in? Amazon has one but the slit is at the bottom and only an inch.
Linda Nehls You may be able to go to a orchid nursery that carries them or attend an orchid show. That's where I normally find mine.
Great video as always. One question, how do you attach "M" hook to clay pots?
I was thinking the same thing!

What size of wire did you use. Kids bought me tie wire and its not strong enough.
Would you please share with us how do you make the hooks inside the clay pot?
