Thank you for this and, your right, amazing bourees from Monica Mason. I'm reminded of Deana Bergsma who could also float across the floor in a similar manner and evoke a gasp of awe from the audience.
Thank You so much for this. Great to see Merle Park rehearsing Isadora. Saw her perform it at the Palace Theatre,Manchester, with the American actress, Mary Miller in the speaking part. Both women hugged each other at the end of the performance. A great piece of theatre.
I loved seeing Monica Mason and Lesley Collier when they were young----what beauties!
Collier was on fire during that little segment of La Fille Mal Gardee----her footwork was fabulous!
I just stumbled across this, what a treat. Thank you!
Great video. Can't wait to see the other parts. Thanks

Thank you for this wonderful treat. I remember the 50th anniversary Gala so well. They dont do them like that anymore!

I just saw Stanley Holden, I missed him the last time I saw this. I used to take his class in L A, back in the 70's.
Glad you enjoyed it. The other parts can also be seen. Hope you like them too! Yes, it was a great time in history...
My pleasure, I'm glad you enjoyed it and thank you for sharing your memories of Merle Park in her performance of Isadora.
Thank you for the comments. I will upload the two remaining parts as soon as I can... Yes, Mason's bourrees are wonderful!
I've just uploaded the second part. Sorry, it's taking some time, but I don't have much time lately. I will upload the third part as soon as possible.
Mary Miller is not American;she was born in Norfolk and is a friend of mine now sadly confined to a nursing home.
