Hi Anand my friend. I hope you and your family are doing well. We are doing fine. I sent you a video of scene in Kashmere; very beautiful. Going to see India is in my bucket list; things to see and do before one departs. Have a good one my friend. RBolanos
Any feedback would be appreciated; it will let me know whether I am communicating effectively and if I need to further explain a certain aspect. Regards, Robert
When TL431 is used with an optocoupler, you will see that the phase looks like -20/dec , and then it stays flat from mid frequencies and never goes down. This mid band gain is not good. That is the reason a cap is added with a pull up resistor from the collector of the opto which forms an extra pole to bring the phase below zero. When you use opto+opamp , the problem of midband gain is not there. The problem in this would be how to generate the 2.5 V for the opamp reference.
The simulation software that I am using is Topspice from Penzar Development. The download is below.penzar.com/topspice/demo.php If you are a student, you can get a 40% discount from the regular price provided you provide proof that you are a student. If you mention my name (Robert Bolanos) you will get an additional 10% off for a total of 50% discount. I hope this helps.
In the meantime, I have three videos on loop compensation of a DCM flyback. The procedure is very similar to that. So if you watch those videos, then when you watch the Video 23, it will make sense.

I am using Topspice. However, there is a new simulator which use to cost 5000 dollars and is now free to the engineering community. Download Microcap 12 on the link below.www.spectrum-soft.com/download/download.shtm
Once again....thanks a million! You would remember, TL431+Opto has been an old request from me. Thanks so so much for giving your valuable time.

...waiting for you to come to India. cheers.
..........did you get my reply email? Regards, Anand

Robert Bolanos great videos sir, but i just can't find part 23 about TL431 and optocoupler..can you give the link? Thankyou
great work Robert, thanks
Thanks for the feedback. RB
thaks for your videos!!!
Glad you like them!
Great Explanation 👍sir which software are you using for circuit design?

Does anybody know if Chinese made TL431 are any good and comparable in quality to those made by long recognised companies?
hi thank for the vedeo can you provide me the name of the software who you are using in this vedeo

Good videos

How to Design loop compensation Circuit of Tl431?
Video 23 will start to develop the loop compensation.
