I play it in my Ute while driving past tourists shirtless and wearing a cork hat and shorty shorts for sh*ts and giggles. Another great modern Aussie song would be “Solid Rock” by Goanna, which focuses more on the native people, especially the remix with Tasman Keith. Both songs are absolutely snags n slabs.

As someone who’s flown to and from Oz a good few times, Make sure you get an isle seat, mate. Otherwise, good luck getting to the loo if your seat mates fall asleep. I once had to literally climb over a bloke by standing on the armrests and jumping into the isle.

I say this as an Oz who’s used such a thing before. Be careful where you put your feet when out in natural areas too, and never leave your shoes outside, or you might have the misfortune of discovering just how painful a redback bite really is. So long as you’re not a boof-head around wildlife, it’s an absolute beauty, our country!
