Sieges are SO fucking shit in Warhammer 2, oh my fucking god it's so annoying, I have to revert to an older save so many times because of how much I try to just starve them out instead of playing a siege.

@@LuiBei1994 And Nakai goes down so early in my campaigns, you can get him pretty early usually. Always nice to tag team the enemies with two legendary lords 15-20 turns into a campaign lol

You know, if there's a character that really should be able to chase down a routing monster it should arguably be Markus. Like, he's supposed to be one of the best hunters in the setting, period, so it's kind of a shame that he immediately seizes to be useful in any way as soon as he runs out of ammo.
Hes one of the best hunters with his bow, hes not meant to be any good with a sword. Hes a marksman and nothing more.

This was a fantastic battle! It got very tense near the end. Nice to see the marauders working together with the Empire for once. I really enjoyed the theme of the Norscans making a desperate alliance with the Hunt Marshall's Expedition to survive a massive lizard men invasion.
Damn I missed this fight but good video mate! We've got a good community and it's always getting bigger and bigger.

Indie is spot on, it's a Skarsnik situation, he's there for the battle of Altdorf, shoots Taurox bully boy and then is never heard from again.
Definitely badass enough to have survived into AoS though, maybe a Sigmarine now if GW is kind.
Could definitely see him being an amazing Astral Templar.

Seemed like the huntsman player was not paying any attention to his missile units. Rewatching, there are several instances where a missile unit will stand 10 feet from a krox/nakai/skink cohort that runs them down cause the missile unit doesn't run in time.
In fairness, he also got the highest damage values of any player with his ranged and the halberdiers were invaluable at the end
@@theduketw truth. I dunno, even at the end he also kinda tossed them away. A lot of damage but they were pretty much left to rot
I saw that Nakai has 90MA/80MD in this mod and I nearly choked on my tea.

As memory serves gunpowder weapons are more potent in the End Times mod. I would have liked to see the Salamander pack use the rest of their ammo. Might have made a difference?

Short German excurse: Echse = Lizzard ; Hund = Hound/Dog ; so Lizzard-Hound (cause they are specially breed to hunt lizzards down maybe not saurus tho)
Oh and both "e" in Echsenhund are more pronounced like the first "e" in environment.

God I was rooting for the lizards and that was so close I reckon if the eshin hounds hadn’t managed to kill/rout so many skinks at the beginning The lizard men would f won cuz the skinks wouldn’t have shattered as quickly

The defenders of Skeggi may have held, but less than ten percent of their deployed forces survive. There are less than a hundred fighting imperials in the expedition, and less than a thousand northmen. That settlement will not survive long.

What a great map, well done.
For ranged firing from ramparts outwards (and I think inwards), the per-model-calculation is pretty damn accurate, you can prove this when zooming in.
But the game is *VERY* weird when it comes to per-model _targetting..._ You'll most often see this if you have fire-on-the-move units near routing units. There can be 99 models to fire on but they will NOT, because the ONE model (of the routing unit) has the flag on it and the flag/banner is elsewhere. So ranged units will ONLY fire on where the BANNER is... not de facto models. Either that, or it takes an average (not the median) of the distance between units and sets that as the range to the unit.
But I don't think it's that, I think that when it decides what to fire at, it will be the "last" models of a unit, or something like that (hence always aiming at the edges for instance) and sometimes that target is alone WAY off from everything else.
Sometimes this can be misinterpreted as another bug. I think.
I know chameleon skinks can fire inwards from ramparts just fine, and their arc (drop off) is much the same as handgunners.
(Yes I always have 1 unit of chameleon skinks in any army in campaign, to capture control points during sieges mainly :p Gutter runners and similar, they all work as well...)

I've been to Skeggi loads of times .Its a coastal town here in the UK called Skegness and we all call it Skeggi for short .

Not sure if this comment is going to get seen but from what I remember from the End Times is that Markus Wulfhart was at the siege of Altdorf where he killed Taurox the Brass Bull like you mentioned. He doesn't get a mention afterwards but since Altdorf got completely blown up and razed to the ground I think its a fair assumption that he died with the city.
That'd be the Siege of Averheim right? Siege of Altdorf was the Glottkin/Nurgle invasion with Bretonnia and Vlad showing up, I dont remember Taurox or Wulfhart being there

i love the part where you think a dinosaur eating someone, the dinosaur is doing it because it was a bad person lol, its a dinosaur movie, dinosaurs eat people, and good people die too, not only good people need to make it through a movie.
you completely missed my point. I'll repeat what I said in the video. "The later movies try to convince you that the people who die bad deaths deserved it. That they were immoral people". My point is that they do a bad job of doing so. Like the babysitter in Jurassic World, which the movie actively tries to make you dislike because she has a flippant and dismissive attitude towards the children, dying an over the top and extremely brutal death. The movie goes out of its way to focus on her negative traits when she's on screen, even though she's an irrelevant character that serves no real purpose in the plot. But yeah, thanks for that big brain breakdown that dinosaurs eat people irrespective of their morality, without your help I would have never figured that one out lol

I don't know about the later movies, but I think the original Book handled the deaths quite well. Most people who die there die because they did something stupid or panicked at the wrong time whereas some others actually survive that the movie killed off.
For instance, in the movie there's that rather iconic "clever girl" scene. Doesn't happen in the book. And why doesn't it happen? Because Muldoon, the character in question is an experienced big game hunter who has seen the Raptors in action often enough to know what kind of behavior he needs to avoid in order to not get eaten. Hence, instead of dying he continues to be a key figure for the rest of the movie who helps getting the situation under control.
Can't make a definitive statement about how the book handles "deserving" death, but another interesting difference to the movie is how John Hammond, the founder of the park is presented. Movie Hammond seems like a somewhat naive but lovely old grampa and a victim more than anything else. Book Hammond is a ruthless and utterly irresponsible greedy capitalist (there's a scene in the book where he tries to convince a geneticist to join him because in his opinion, scientists are wasted on research that would benefit humanity as a whole because if they, for instance, were to discover a cure for cancer, governments might get the idea of stopping them from selling that cure for a thousand bucks each. Which is of course rather ironic considering that these days, you pay considerably more sometimes for things that are basically just painkillers in the US) who cares little for the lives lost in the desaster and more about the monetary damages. He also proceeds to get eaten by compies in the end.

Right? Suicided Nakai and Mazdamundi super hard. No Apotheosis on Nakai whose melee grinder would have made that last fight a win. And Mazdamundi and the Dread Saurian eating volleys of bullets all day long in plain sight. They could have easily avoided so many deaths. xD
