I hear about horses that are more than 25 years old and my horse died when she was 21, I was 20. My parents bought her when I was 2. Fran was a quarter horse and she essentially became my baby sitter. I would ride her everywhere. There were times that she had to take care of me. I have cerebral palsy and I didn't walk as a toddler. If I fell off, Fran would protect me by walking circles around me.
I agree with stardust949…..it sounds more like world of wrestling…..last years intro was much more inspiring…..but so glad you are back. And working for the best of all equines, canines and felines.
I'm so glad the person surrendered their old horse😊 he seems really sweet, a good forever retirement home would be wonderful❤. I liked this episode... lot's of adoptions to start the new year 🎉
Wow, everyone in the comment section is complaining about one thing or another. Is it possible to just take joy in HPHS's adoption record for 2023 and celebrate their accomplishment like the supporters we are?
No one likes to complain, but when you see or hear something that isn't as good as it was in the past it's ok to point it out, it's constructive criticism. They just want the episodes to be as good as they usually are. For example, I cant be the only one who doesn't care for the new intro, the old intro used the song Heroes by Valley of Wolves, it was a perfect song to use for what these heroes do!
Well said somebody’s always got something to complain about something is minuscule as the intro I can’t believe it with all the good that these people do
"Normal people don't work on Jan1"? I know what you mean, Angela, but I'd say it's the cream of the crop who do: ER docs, nurses, medical techs, nursing home personnel, firefighters, policemen & women, and the like. So veterinarians & animal care workers, like you guys are right up there, too. Never feel 'less than" just because you're not 'average'. That being said, personnel shortages on holidays dictates cutting down the workload to necessities. Extra stuff, in my opinion, like adoption events, and surrenders really should wait until there is a full staff on board.
I would reword that to say Only phenomenal people work on Jan 1st. As I worked every Jan 1st, I was manager of a Pet Store, so even if we were closed I still went in and cleaned and watered all the animals twice a day, No Holidays off for me.
I love that the kids get to test the horses. Obviously with liability waivers signed, but I'm sure many places still wouldn't let them ride. Gotta make sure they like the horse too if they're gonna be the one riding it
Happy 2024 from Surf City, CA🌊 This was a sweet episode with the several adoptions, a quick check in on horses during the feeding and a kind old gelding surrender - great way to start the year. And thanks to Isabella for letting us get to know her a bit more!
Hello and happy new year to everyone! Y'all did a FANTASTIC job... Especially for your small size crew! All the adoptions were so much fun. Troy, you did a great job :) I have a feeling 2024 will be a BIG one for HSH. Each of you saves so many lives each year. Prayers and love coming your way as always 🤗💗🙏 Janice
I'm so happy that some of your animals got adopted into forever loving homes and I'm so glad that you took in that 27 year old surrender he deserves to be loved and to have the rest of his life safe. 💕🐎
Encouragement instead of critics is what these people need! We are not out there in the cold and the snow facing the elements. We are not dealing with aggressive government officials standing in the way of rescuing animals. Each one of you is a hero and I applaud you for that. God bless the world did you do🙏🙏
Hate to complain but that was a short episode. I miss the hour long episodes. I also miss the intake episodes, where you eval each new horse. Is it just me? I love HPSH just miss the way old episodes were.
@Wendy-bd9zu l miss Dr Nancy..she was brilliant..they do really need a permanent vet not just the weekly visits by the wonderful Doc who was busy running his own practice..now they have the newly qualified vet and Dr Lydia I'm sure we'll see a lot more.. Dr Lydia used to come with Doc so we have a familiar face and she is Excellent..!!
I am so happy for pebbles and Jester. And a mule got there for ever home. And I think the little fell in love with Pebbles right away too. And they all love Jester too. And guys thank you for all your hard work saving all these animals. All my 💕🥰❤️🤗💖😘😍❤️ to all.
Not loving the new voice for the intro/outro....that's a meh for me...However, I love the show and can't wait to see how many animals are helped this year!
Happy New Year everyone 🎉 So nice to see such a big adoption starting off the new year. Great to learn a little bit more about Isabella! And Black Beauty already is infamous 😅 Glad he is doing good! So excited for another year of many more rescues and adoptions - and awesome episodes of course!
I have adopted and fostered several rotties over the years and absolutely adore this breed . They are an extremely intelligent breed and need mental and physical stimulation. I so hope they get adopted soon and I get to see their adoptions .
I like watching your show! You all are doing a great thing.... just wanted to give your employees a little advice, tell them to unhook the garden hoses from the water hydrants, and they shouldn't freeze up then, they will drain back in ground, but normally not with hose connected to them. Oh and dont forget to drain the hoses also. Just trying to help ya out.
What a great start for the new year there's nothing better for a horse than girl that loves them I would love to have one of the Rottweilers they're my favorite breed thanks for the video
I love your videos. I love your people that work there. Thank you for your love and compassion for the animals. Your doing more for the animals than they realize! ❤thank you and blessings from OKC, Oklahoma.
I am from Switzerland and I love Watching every episode! I wanted to make a second donation but when I hit the donation button, it doesn’t continue on to the actual page i can donate. Thank you for the incredible words that you do❤
Olá á todos vocês da equipe, que vocês tenham um ótimo Ano Novo, com muita saúde paz,com muitos vídeos de resgates para nós. Um abraço para vocês. 🙋♂️🇧🇷🐎
Happy new year! I hope the later episodes are longer and do not have that almost aggressive voise in the intro and outro, it just gives me heebie jeebies.
Great to see 2024 starting there. You need donations to keep your water sources thawed. Thankful adoptions started early. Really not fond of ending. Cross between info commercial and a wrestling match voice. Very Odd.. takes away from the personal connection to your cause. Hug the donkeys ❤
Hi. I thought the opening was too aggressive. I believe you wanted to show you are strong proponents of saving horses, especially from that pipeline. However the opening was really loud and off putting. It surprised me. And not in a good way. I’ve watched you all for a long time now. And I’m not even a horse person, so to speak. I’m an activist, and that especially includes animals. But I really love your work. Especially around the pipeline and that barbaric walking style. But your work is soothing. Very soothing. And that opening conflicts with what you present in your work.
I’m not sure what the safe act is in the USA. Is it Drug and Alcohol Addiction Rehabilitation? @startledmayo There are so many definitions on google, I’m completely confused. From mortgage protection, banking acts, to ,ensuring businesses have access to bank accounts and prison closure savings…..
They ARE supporting the Safe Act..they mentioned it when they did the video of them going to Washington DC to get the law changed regarding the auction not checking if their animals are fit and to stop the slaughter pipeline..they actually met the congresswoman who started the Safe Act and of course they DO support it..
@@paillette2010They have always told adopters that should they end up unable to care for a horse long term they are happy to accept the horse back as a surrender. Horse plus and ever rescue organisation does thorough checks to make sure that people are suitable to adopt any animal. If they don't think someone can or will take care of an animal long term properly then they don't get to adopt.

No they didn't, and they didn't let any other organizations back that I know of, so they are probably just going to be gone as a significant resource for animal welfare organizations.
Pebbles little girl is going to need a rope ladder 😂 Jester is a beautiful mover and they will be just lovely together!
Ok , that puppy with the black ear is PRECIOUS
Agree the voice over at the beginning and end is a bit much but i think it is John having some fun.
Please use your old intro! Heroes by Valley of Wolves was a perfect fit for your channel!
I hear about horses that are more than 25 years old and my horse died when she was 21, I was 20. My parents bought her when I was 2. I like Troy, he’s really come along in his presentation skills- he’s definitely gained in confidence, what a nice genuine guy.
I think Pebbles found her girl! She was so careful and gentle walking that precious cargo around! ❤
Jester is ready for some trails!
I was smiling so hard from ear to ear that my cheeks started cramping! 😂
I don't care for the voice of. It doesn't sound right. I love the videos.
Time for heat tape and foam pipe insulators for the outside water spickets

Those droopy ears were adorable. I hope Dr Lydia can give him a clean bill of health, and that he has some good years left in him.
Miss Pebbles clearly moved more gently unde the young lady

all those cute dogs made me cry, because yesterday i had to put my dog to sleep
