@Skybaby79 A lack of separate legs, and a bulky torso were also common traits for the humanoid carrier(s). The Max Magma, Turbo Builder, King Pyramider, and Ginga Bitus were all transforming humanoid carriers, and they all share similar traits- one of those being they are large, slow-moving, over-powered land battleships called in only for finishing attacks, not for engaging monsters in melee battles like the combiners and other robos. --EVA_Unit_4A
@Skybaby79 Oh, I just remembered- The Grand Liner/Supertrain Megazord is also technically a carrier, and thus-far the only one that both engages monsters one-on-one AND comes with more than one individually-piloted component, thus making it the first combining carrier as well. There's your articulated carrier. ^^ --EVA_Unit_4A
After watching this review many years ago, I have become fortunate enough to come into possession of DX King Pyramider and I adore it. One correction, there actually IS a difference between the US and Japanese versions. King Pyramider is actually more of a sandy yellow color with a speckled pattern to the plastic which makes it feel more like a realistic pyramid to me. This is probably why it looks so different on the box art, they likely used the Japanese version before they had the US one in production.
@CollectionDX Thanks for the Tips... Thought the spelling was "Lord Zedd" wasn't 100% sure... looking forward to seeing more of your videos, workin on my collection. Just need the PRIS Zords + The Zords from S3 think they were the Ninja Zords please let me know if I am correct??
@tubeview96 Ooh- tough question; I like a lot of 'em, so it's hard to narrow it down! I like the Power Animals for their versatility, the Rescue Mecha (GoGo-V) for their emphasis on teamwork/less fighting, the MagiRanger mecha for their dynamic style (MagiLegend gag me), the INET Mecha for their blocky mecha spaceships, the Shugoujuu 'cause I'm all a-quiver with nostalgia... and a couple of individual robos from pre-PR as well (Flash King, Live Robo, Bio Robo to name a few). --EVA_Unit_4A
@RayDiTutto66 What I forgot to say there- d'ohh!- was that the light could have been visible through the crystal in the top of the Pyramid Mode as well when it was turned on. --EVA_Unit_4A
12:40 - 12:46 I think the reason that that shelf can be removed is probably so you can put in the fully assembles deluxe super zeo megazord into pyramidus just as they did on the show.
I remember thinking the Gold Ranger was Tommy's brother David. I never did pay attention to the fact that Saban was teasing that it could've been Billy. But man Saban sure pulled a big swerve with who the Gold Ranger was! It happened to be Trey of Triforia, a total unknown at the time!
@CollectionDX OMG I didn't really watch the whole vid before I posted so my question's already been answered. Awesome reviews. Makes me wish I bought some of these Zords before my brother was born and spent all the money I was supposed to.
@trans8010 That's always the reason I watched it. But when I watch Super Sentai now, I definitely pay attention to everything because it's just that better written. --EVA_Unit_4A
@CollectionDX That was a really awesome thing you did when you popped up the head. Do you think it would have been possible at the time/cool to have elbow joints for pyramidas. I don't really reme, ber if he had elbow movement in the series.
@Monkeenut58 Why else would those indents be on the front of the leg unit...? ;) I think the DX Revolver Mammoth/Mighty Mammoth from "Hurricanger"/"PRNS" is the heaviest one I have though. But Pyramidas beats it in dimensions. --EVA_Unit_4A
@ndwells LoL Thanks. I wasn't planning to do it that way, but I realized I didn't need to show you guys spending an extra 2min just stacking stuff on there. --EVA_Unit_4A
@Peniche5 If one does not include Lord Zedd's Serpentera, then I'd actually be inclined to say that, at-scale, the Zenith Carrierzord (which can hold TWO unassembled Megazords at once) would actually be the biggest, with Pyramidas in 2nd Place.
@Skybaby79 Naw- you miss the point of carrier mecha if you're willing to sacrifice storage space for poseability. Pyramidas/King Pyramider was really the last of its kind, but that legacy stretches back to before PR, in Super Sentai... The carrier(s) were nothing but massive vehicles which carried the main mecha to battle. Those that became humanoid shapes always had limited joints in the arms. That King Pyramider got elbows & wrists was an accomplishment. --EVA_Unit_4A
@nivlaxtended No, Yost was not willing to commit to another Ranger role at the time due to his mistreatment behind-the-scenes, that's why he was relegated to the support role in the Power Chamber, and why he stormed off before the series ended. --EVA_Unit_4A
@CollectionDX wow you right, messed up that comments... I meant the it was/is the Biggest Power Ranger Zord toy they made & I was blown away when I actually saw how big it was when I was kid. It was also much bigger then Titanus the carrier zord from the first season (Pre Lord Zed days) sorry I haven't watched Power Rangers in like 13 years so was a little mixed up.
@appleimaniac Oh. Yeah, it is bigger than Titanus. And his name is spelled "Lord Zedd", FYI. ;) Usually when referring to a specific MMPR season, you say "S1", "season 1", "MMPR-1", etc. as opposed to "pre-Zedd". --EVA_Unit_4A
@sableyefan Well, a 30min video can take almost 45min to upload... and that depends if my WiFi doesn't conk out on me (which it's notorious for doing). --EVA_Unit_4A
@ninjamonkey4 Oh, I completely agree- I wish they had better articulation as well! In fact, it's one of my longest-running complaints. Sometimes transformation gets in the way, and I can understand that, but you'd think they'd put a bit more effort into articulation by now; especially considering how they've simplified the designs in the last 5-6 years. --EVA_Unit_4A
is that your original pyramidas because mine has lost some of the chrome also good job on the review man still trying to find one of the helmet and the swords to the super zeo megazord
@tubeview96 Also, I managed to get a downloaded copy of the OST-1 CD to "Boukenger", which I really liked the music for, and wish I had the other OSTs to! I also wanted the OST(s) for "DekaRanger" and "MagiRanger". --EVA_Unit_4A
@DavidPrime83 Though Titanus's contribution to the first Ultrazord makes me all gooey inside- =? -I just might have to agree with you there. --EVA_Unit_4A
@rossbeebe1 Umm... Thank You For Capitalizing Every Single Word That You Just Typed. (O_o); I am reviewing the Dlx. Super Zeo Megazord next, and then concluding my PRZeo reviews right after that with the Dlx. Warrior Wheel. --EVA_Unit_4A
@angelbattler Stargate is one of my favorite movies!!! I have both the Special Editon DVD and the Special Extended OST by David Arnold. And I also loved "Stargate SG-1" as well (though I didn't get to see it as much as I wanted to). It's possible "OhRanger" was influenced by "Stargate", but since you bring it up I'm not sure about that right now. ...Damn straight I role-played Pyramidas as Ra's ship! =)
@BoukenCrimson Yeah, I know that rumor too. Problem with that is that it would be impossible for him to do it without help from Zordon & Alpha, and neither of them say anything during either the movie or the TV series about its development beforehand. --EVA_Unit_4A
@CollectionDX Thats the first time I've prematurely commented. I can see you collect all the zords, but was there a certain time when you thought "Power Rangers is awful now". For me it was Lost Galaxy and most things after Lightspeed Rescue (which was awsome)
@Mizuneko22 Aww... clearly sometime in '96, but I can't remember *exactly* when! O_o; My parents had stopped gifting me with toys years earlier even though they knew I was collecting them 'professionally' by then, so I had to get it myself. The majority of my collection was obtained with my own finds. --EVA_Unit_4A
So cool I got this megazord when I was little I have all the zeo megazords I didnt know you can put them on top of it lol. Its one of the biggest zords I've gotten.
@dragonzord250 I've heard PR-RPM was one of the better seaons, but I don't want to see it. However, when the "Shinkenger"-adaptation comes in 2011, I will watch the first few episodes just to see what has changed, if anything. Saban recently created an online survey, and a lot of the questions seemed to be targeted at both collectors & long-time fans (like myself), and this has impressed me. I am actually interested to see what they will do because of that poll. --EVA_Unit_4A
@dragonzord250 I still think that most PR series aren't good. You have to understand that it was only the giant robot battles that kept bringing me back, certainly not the characters or plot lines! When I migrated to Super Sentai it was for the same reasons, but I soon came to love THAT TV franchise for the actual writing & acting because it was just simply superior and non-patronizing. --EVA_Unit_4A

@CollectionDX LOL yeah I watch it now for the rehashed sentai footage of the suits and mecha err zords.
Don't know if it was said in the comments but a fully assembled super zeo megazord can fit in the back

ending credits with zeo theme made me get all nostalgic ^_^ .....nice review and ending fail XD
it was a space ship in the first episode it was in!
how tall is the toy in megazord mode
to me i would say that the director had a bad planning of who should play the role of G ranger

No. Very few people anywhere online- except friends & family- know my real name or what I look like. I'm just paranoid about the net that way, ya know?
--EVA_Unit_4A
Is it supposed to be so much yellow? I remember it had brown colors as well
King Pyramider was kind of a bronze or dull gold on the screen, but the toy(s) represent this by going with a creamy yellow. While neither version ( _Choriki Sentai Ohranger_ or _Power Rangers Zeo_ ) of this mecha or its companion Ranger has anything whatsoever to do with ancient Egypt [not even in their separate on-screen lore(s)], I think Bandai and PLEX were trying to convey ancient magic and mystery _associated with_ ancient Egyptian pyramids.
That being said, I, too, kinda wish it had been the sand brown depicted on _PRZ's_ version of the toy's box. But, I can also live with this poor imitation of gold as well. =)
