19:47 Givas, like Juggler, seems to be saying, "Shoot him along with me!" And Arc, like Orb, accepts his resolve. It's a brilliant last-minute display of imagination when Arc uses Feather Circle to teleport Givas away just in time.
The story revolves around a citizen of Hoshimoto City, and because of that, I was able to empathize with her in a different way than usual, as a real citizen of this wold. 23:06 Lastly, the sight of her skipping just one step up the usual staircase was heartwarming, as it seemed to represent his desire to live positively even though his days are the same every day.
Zandrias being the pre-evo to the King of Mons actually makes a strange sort of sense? Zandrias isn't a Minus Energy Monster, but it is an Ultraman 80 monster, and 80 periodically dealt with Minus Energy Monsters, kaiju born of negative emotions. The writers seemed to have singled out the fact that the original King of Mons was created from a kid's destructive impulses, and sort of solidifies that thematic connection with this episode, by linking the King to an 80 kaiju this way, that's pretty cool.
Plus, they have the same eyes, and the original Zandrias was also characterized as a tantrum-throwing kid. It's actually scary how well they fit together
15:30 I think it's great that the homage to the movie "Ultraman Gaia: The Battle in Hyperspace" is connected to the important psychological portrayal of Aoi, the main character of this episode. 4:01 And since Aoi used Givas as a reference for ideas in her novel, we can interpret her cry for help as reaching Givas.
The camera angles, choreography... just everything, you can see the money in the battle scene. They went all out for this episode in visual and in story
First off, I just have to applaud the writers for unleashing their imagination and somehow connecting Zandrias to King of Mons. _And it works._ The two surprisingly have a lot in common Neat little detail: at 2:40 the train horn sounds a bit like King of Mons' roar. Not sure if it's intentional, but at the end of the episode there's no horn when Aoi walks up the same stairs The plot could've been a little better imo, it feels a little rushed. But they more than made up for it with that epic fight scene, it looks great and is full of subtle Gaia references (17:47 Zogu blasting back Gaia and Agul, 17:59 Givas has the Agul Saber). It's almost enough for me to overlook the stageshow-quality King of Mons suit with its perpetually closed mouth
It looked like they were going for a similar feel to the plot of the Insurance Hero episode of Blazar, but like you said it didn't quite hit the mark due to the rushed execution, but it's fine since the battle with King of Mons was the highlight of this episode anyway. Also at 10:27, towards the top right of the screen on the bookshelf it looked like one of the original copies of Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone ?
The first time King of Mons was created was due to juvenile greed and hunger for power. This time the monster was created from anger, envy, and self-pity. The Sphere was never really evil. All of humanity's temptations, desires, and delusions are what made this chaos. The Sphere just brought out the monster that was already there. This time Arc didn't have as much difficulty stopping King of Mons as Gaia did with a little help from Givas.
Yes! King of Mons is back! First featured Zandrias, the Kaiju from Ultraman 80 series and later featured this menacing and intimidating Kaiju, King of Mons! Baby Zandrias is so cute like usual, however i focused on King of Mons more than Zandrias because not much famous Heisei Ultra Kaiju got more reappear. King of Mons is my most favorite Kaiju from Ultraman Tiga, Ultraman Dyna & Ultraman Gaia: Decisive Battle in Hyperspace movie 🤩! Thank you Tsuburaya Production bring King of Mons back! King of Mons is most memorable Heisei Ultra Kaiju for said movie. Nice to see (for me anyway) Givas back! Givas will be one of most memorable Ultra Kaiju (for this case Robot) for Ultraman ARC series! Red Sphere is very important for about the dream, so perfect choice enter in this series because about imagination 😊. Unfortunately for next episode on next Saturday is completely nothing for me because is about the Man with White Mask meaning no Kaiju, no Seijin, even no giant Robot appear in next episode on next Saturday. This episode is darkly brilliant. The whole thing takes place inside Aoi's dream, but she can spread the dream to others via the red sphere, the creation of her dream. You know this isn't just her dream isolated because Rin tells her the Meaning of Givas(sun facing), something she couldn't have gathered any other way than it was actually Rin, not a dream projection. The red sphere is both her story, and her desire to escape poverty and inspire others. However, the world she knows must be destroyed or subverted to escape the cycle of her abuse, something she isn't willing to do. This is both because society is horribly cruel, and because she lacks the creativity or resolve to use her own powers. So her desire to exit her dream causes the red sphere to desire death. It wouldn't surprise me if this episode never gets referenced again. As the final wish is implied to have erased the whole of the episode from happening. Her even hearing the bird chirping after implies both, a desire to revisit her dreams, and a desire to join them in death. It's up to you the viewer to decide which wins in the end. Arc as a show wants you to visit your dreams even when they are hard, and use your imagination to find new ways to have a better future. But I appreciate the messaging of the episode being something the viewer must interpret and internalize themselves. Is this an episode of Twin Peaks? Probably.
