Consider freeze-drying a vegie mix (carrots, onions, zucchini etc). This mix would be great to use in making broth, soups, meatloafs, meatballs, pasta sauces and stews. I buy mine as I have a small household/larder. But this mix makes for easy meal prep!
I was going to suggest freeze-drying them too. They'd be shelf stable, and quick to use. You could even make carrot powder for smoothies.
Same here. I would love to see that project.
Me also
Yes I have seen others freeze dry and put through food processor and use in meat loaf’s and other meals
I will purchase the frozen mixed carrots and freeze dry them. Works great.
THANK YOU! For not using 'filler' music when recording a long scenes like other TH-camrs do. It's soooooo much nicer to watch.
If you change out the cloth in the bags of carrots in the fridge every couple weeks that will also help extend the life of the carrots. It takes all the condensation away from the carrots. A dry cold carrot is a happy carrot lol. 🥕
Thanks for the info. I want to try this technique this year.
Can you use the dish cloths that look like a sponge??? They also have some that are thinner and are cheese cloth looking- would these work?
@@krisirolfe4332 I don’t see why not. They all would work in the same manner to get the moisture away from the carrots. I’d say as long as they are changed for a clean dry towel every couple weeks it should work just fine. It also helps to get out as much air as possible in the bag when storing in the fridge.
Baking powder and baking soda are both baking essentials. Depending on the specific recipe, you may need one or the other (or both). They are often used in making cakes, muffins, cupcakes, or any baked goods. In case you run out of it, did you know that you can make baking powder? Just combine 1 tablespoon baking soda and 2 tablespoons cream of tartar, and voila - you already have a homemade baking powder.
Great info!!
Yes! Excellent info. You should have seen my moms face when she asked if I had any powdered sugar because she was short 1 cup and I promptly blended up her some out of regular sugar. You literally could not tell the difference, lol. She was like “are you kidding me?” 😂. Nope. And I make my own brown sugar like Becky. I buy one sugar and it makes three. Love having this new recipe. 🙏
how you make brown sugar@@firequeen2194 ?
I have baked all my like and have never heard of volia. Can you tell me what it does when making baking powder and where I would find it? Thank you
@@vickiemeyer3869 voilà is a term kind of like abracadabra in a magic show. It’s not an ingredient. It’s just a term very similar to TaDa
Becky and friends . Baking powder is just baking SODA and an acid. for each teaspoon of baking powder use one quarter teaspoon of baking SODA and half a teaspoon of vinegar or lemon juice. put the liquids with the liquids in the bowl and the baking Soda with the flour salt etc (the dry ingredients) ... and how about canning the carrot broth? you can add it to any soup or dish that can use a bit of sweetness. Hope this helps. Jim Mexico
And corn starch👍
I did not know that thanks
Learn something everyday watching Becky.
Came here to add this! Way to go, Acre Homestead community!
This is a thing that I know but always forget in the panic of the moment! Then I usually remember after a trip to the store🤣🤣🤣
Who doesn't get excited to see Becky when she comes on!!! 😊 much love from North Carolina ❤
Yes. I love watching her but I wonder about her baby! Where is the little guy?? She never even mentions him. I find that odd!!
@lovemyfamily60 it isn't odd. She and Josh said long ago they are not showing Baby A in videos. I think they are being smart, especially with the world we live in. Is her private life not everything needs to be shared. Baby A is well-tended too. We only see a small portion of her life in videos. :)
Fellow NC girl here! Well, technically I'm a MD girl, but I've lived here in NC for 5 years, and we are calling it home for at least the next 12 years until our kids are done with school.
@@lovemyfamily60
I’m sure it’s probably for his protection, that she doesn’t show his face, say his name, etc. I think they are very wise for doing so.
I just learned this recently, but you can make your own baking powder easily. 2 parts cream of tartar, 1 part baking soda, and 1 part cornstarch to prevent clumping. :)
This. I personally leave the corn starch out; it's a matter of preference!
Becky please please please consider writing a cook/preservation book!! You could do according to vegetable and tell everything you make out of it. More efficient way of preserving, not to mention all the creative uses you have for vegs that i never think of! Please!
Sitting in the hospital praying my Momma gets discharged. I got do happy seeing Becky had a video. Thanks for all you teach us and share with us.
I'm praying for quick healing!
I'll be praying too xx
❤
Thanks yall, we have found out she has pneumonia in bottom both lungs. She isn't coming home today. Thanks for all prayers.
@@aintain7369 I'm so sorry. My Mom went through same. Praying for fast healing and health in future. God bless you all 🙏🏽
I grew up in Portland just around the corner from you - 87th & Siskiyou! I love your channel. I’m a busy mom, we homeschool our kids and often cooking feels overwhelming. Your batch cooking and efficient methods have been life changing for me! Thanks for sharing!!!
I flash freeze directly in ziplock bags. Just set a timer every hour for the next five hours and squish the bag to unstick anything frozen together when the timer rings. No transferring from the cookie sheet. This works great for veggies like onions, peppers and even ground beef. Soft fruits I still freeze individually on cookie sheets.
Wow! Can I get a yes an amen to that massive carrot harvest? 😊I’m so happy for you. Loved all the recipe ideas. Great job Becky.
Yes!! Great harvest Becky. Congrats!
You might enjoy Vietnamese pickle. Main ingredients are carrots, green onion and Dikon radish Add chili's if you want some heat Shredded or julienned. It's a sweet pickle and is awesome on sandwiches. Also seeing as you enjoy soups and stews why not freeze dry all your veg for your soup and then add protein and broth when ready to cook. It would make a nice gift if you put it in Mason jars
I had banh mi for the first time recently and the sweet pickled veggies were SO good. My husband loves it with pulled bbq pork
Yeah marinated meats and pickled veggies are perfect combo
Do you have plans to build a root cellar on your property? I’ve enjoyed watching you and your parents harvest your carrots & onions. And watch you process nearly 1/2 of your carrots today!
Keep fresh carrots in a bucket of fine sand in a cool place. They last for many months.
Use a tub for scrubbing carrots clean them into colander to save water as others have suggested.
I'm a raisin girl here.
Thank you for all your hard work, I know what it takes to make these videos! You're an amazing woman!!
Hi Becky. Your thought process on carrot size for storage is correct. The smaller crops tend to have issues sooner than the bigger ones. So larger items for longer term storage is what you want. As far as carrots, I would have left their tails on for storage. That also helps them last longer. Great crop!!
Chantenay carrots are actually very good for storing.
Hey Becky, very delicious is pumpkin carrotsoup with little meatballs and carrotmash. Both eaten a lot in Holland, your mother in law probably knows it and can tell you how to make it! The soup freezes beautiful so something to make with all the ingredients from the garden 😃 i also love oven roasted carrots with honey and thyme , Moroccan Couscous or Tajine with carrots and pumpkin . Nice recipes and something new to learn
Carrot cake muffins, no frosting. Freezer to table for breakfast. Frosted carrot cupcakes as holiday desserts.
Becky, you are such a great teacher for your garden, preserving and cooking. Thank you for doing all kinds of video's. Take care.
Roasted carrots drizzled with balsamic vinegar is one of my favorite ways to cook carrots! Looks fancy for dinner guests too!
Yum! I need to try this! 😋
hi again. keep in mind that any cake or bread recipe can be made into any shape. sheet pan flat, muffins (cupcakes rolls) layer cake or a huge cake. I've even taken a chocolate cake recipe and made them like soft cookies (I didn't want to wait for the cake to bake for an hour.) of course you need to adjust the baking time for size, just look at a recipe for muffins, jelly rolls, layer, bundt or sheet cakes All the best Jim
Hey Becky. My favorite is carrot cake. When I make mine though, I put a can of crushed pineapple in it and pecans. Once cooled i top with a cream cheese frosting. It's soooo good and stays very moist. It can be frozen as well and once unfrozen it's as good as the day it was first made.
In Brazil we make carrot cake too, but in the blender and with a brigadeiro topping with chocolate powder, condensed milk and butter ❤ your cake looks delicious too and the carrot harvest is a true blessing for the first year of growing in the new house ❤
That sounds divine!
Becky, unless you just don’t like the bay leaves, if you would leave one leaf in each jar, it will help to keep the vegetables crisp. Or a grape leaf will work also. These are soooo good, I make them.
Hey Becky! I have freeze dried carrot cubes for soups, and they reconstitute perfectly. I’m doing shredded carrots next. Freeze drying will save you some room in your freezers.
I have freeze dried carrots too but mine faded out to an unappealing color. Did you have any issues with that?
I have freeze dried diced carrots and grated carrots also. I blanched them for a minute or two before freezing and the color has stayed bright orange and beautiful. My storage room is very dark so no light hits them. They reconstitute very well and taste very fresh.
Freeze dried carrots chips are a tasty snack too
How do you reconstitute?
They reconstitute by adding liquid. You can use water, broths, or just throw them in the dish you’re making to take up some of its liquid
Hello from Arkansas! Another favorite channel of mine is Appalachian Homestead with Patara and the Zimmermans. Thank you for all you do!
I use melted butter instead of oil. It makes it easier to digest. The last time I made cream cheese frosting, I used an entire cube of cream cheese instead of adding butter to that at all. It was delicious!!!
Carrot halva.. fine grated carrot, ground cardomom, cashews, raisins (optional), pinch of salt, sauteed for about 20 mins in butter. Store in fridge, extra in freezer. Use hot over vanilla ice cream, its absolutely delicious❤
Carrot & cheese 1:1 yum
I always smile when I see you’ve uploaded a video & you always make my day a little brighter. NOTE: Kitchenaid has a dicer attachment for their stand mixer. It is a huge time saver in the kitchen & is great for potato & other root veggies. I feel it worth the cost, as like you, my family likes them in pot pies & soups, etc. Have a joyous day.
Becky has one but couldn't find a piece when she went to use it
Becky I admire your self discipline when it comes to some of your preservation and getting the job done. It is also nice to watch your videos because you are so relatable, not perfect or pretending to be and always asking for advice when it comes to things you aren’t sure about. Just such a joy to watch even on my worst days, you put a smile on my face. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us ❤❤
Now I want carrot cake. I had a recipe for carrot cake that called for raisens, drained crushed pineapple, and pecans. It was really good but dense. I like the idea of dividing into bread pans. Thanks Becky.
Pineapple in carrot cake is a total winner!
We LOVE Muchas Gracias’ pickled carrots!! Here’s my take (per jar):
Carrots, Onions, Sliced jalapeños…Boil a pinch of salt, pepper, garlic powder, celery seed. Two pinches of oregano and cumin. About 3/4 cup apple cider vinegar, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup water. Layer veggies in a quart jar, pour hot liquid mixture over, seal, and refrigerate.
Easy and quick, and a great side dish/snack/sandwich addition!
Love your inspiration!!
Thanks. I am going to keep this and try it myself!
Carrot souffle instead of sweet potato casserole for Thanksgiving side.
Suggestion for washing large quantities of produce. I put mine in the sink to soak in a water & vinegar soak. A good amount of the dirt will come off on its own and since vinegar has antibacterial properties it is a great way to ensure you don’t anything you don’t want.
Also, had you thought about making baby food?
Baby is 10 months old now, beyond the baby food stage I’m sure, but no doubt he’ll be enjoying Becky’s diced carrots!
Thank you for your recipes! I have 5 gallons of very long carrots I was given, I have been peeling them and readying them for blanching/freezing (while watching you now at the same time!), but I am setting some aside for shredding for a carrot cake and for carrot/raisin salad, too. God bless you, keep up the good work! Pureed carrots make wonderful first food for babies, too!
Pickled carrots are so good . I grew up on so many pickled vegetables along with a cauliflower, carrot, pearl onion mix so good. Also a must try is pickled carrots with jalapeños so I was excited to see you add them.
I love how you switch gears, and instantly come up with alternatives for processing these carrots. How many of us have come home from work to find we didn't defrost the meat or prepared meal..... 🥰 PS: will you be making your own baby food?
Becky has said previously that they plan to basically follow the “baby eats what we eat” model. Meaning that you just feed mashed and soft foods from the table to supplement nursing. My daughter did the same, starting with avocado. They were on SNAP for #1 and received a lot of jarred fruit & veggies, which went into smoothies and sauces.
Pickled carrots are one of my all-time favs!! I got a commercial-sized box of baby carrots a few months ago, and as long as they were free, I experimented. They're AMAZING on hearty salads, as a midnight snack, on a cheese tray..... oh mannnnn. So good.
Hi! It’s so fun to hear you reference things that are so familiar to me…like Rossi Farms (I went to HS with their daughter), and the Grotto….I grew up in Maywood Park. I like feeling that connection to you, as well as all the garden, preservation etc that I enjoy watching and seeing! Thank you! ❤
Same. I was like, "Awe... The Grotto!" 😊
The majority of heat of jalapeños comes from the seeds. have you ever made carrot soup? Yumm!! You can purée some carrots like you do pumpkin. Trust me, so good!! Just found your channel and I am binge watching, you are just fantastic!!
I freeze the bulk of my carrots, prepared differently, of course. Some are cut into coins for soup, some shredded for baking, and some diced for a quick stirfry. I love the convenience!
Becky - try red wine vinegar for the pickled carrots. We use that for our fridge pickles.
No need to blanch shredded?
Old recipes for carrots is a carrot casserole were you peel then slice the keratin of queens make a white cream sauce in a skillet by melting butter, adding flour thickening with milk a dash up, bake salt and pepper etc. then pour it on each layer and top it off with the sauce, and covered in foil and bake its very good. Another recipe is to use a meat grinder to grind carrots and dried shelled peanuts. In equal portions. Add raisins then drop mayonnaise in to moisten the mixture. If it doesn't taste sweet, then go ahead and add a little bit of sugar and stir. It's really good.
I grew up in Salem and we went to the Grotto many times in my teen years. What fun that you mentioned it.
If you save a tablespoon or two of flour from the cake and use it to coat the carrots and nuts before mixing them into the batter.. it will prevent the carrots and nuts from sinking towards the bottom as it bakes.
Hi Bekky i'm from Algeria North Africa .. And we pickel so many vegetables. Carrots pickeld is a stable in our house. You can add a jalapeno to your carrots it will give a heat to the jar and it's amazing 👌
It very simple we put carrots jalapenos silce lemon salt vineger and water et voilà
PS sorry for my bad english i hope it's ok😊
We made a carrot soup from our pressure canning cookbook and love it! Similar to tomato soup!
Becky, you could use the colander in the bowl to cool the carrots and just lift all of them at once in colander instead of fishing them with the spider.
When mashing potatoes you can add mashed carrots to the potatoes. So good!
I love that combo! I boil them together in one pot, drain and mash it together, makes clean up easy with one less pot to wash.
@@laurenparnass8343 I'm from South Africa and this is a staple veggie for us. We boil the potatoes and carrots together in a pot with all our seasonings and when soft, we mash it and add butter and serve. We also eat potatoes and green beans the same way. It's very delicious this way.
Love my vacuum sealer. I just processed a lot of tomatillos. So I made larger bags and smaller for a small amount of salsa. Best invention ever.
This is almost exactly like my grandmother's carrot cake recipe except she always used a bit more cinnamon. We love cinnamon. She always put hers in a bundt pan and did the cream cheese frosting on top with more pecans sprinkled on top of that. I've done the recipe in muffins before too and froze them. They turned out great. I would grab a few out to thaw whenever I wanted some. We wouldn't really eat a whole cake before it went bad. Also great warmed up in the wintertime with coffee in the morning 😁
Hi Becky. Bumper crop this year. Well done. I’ve always found that diced carrots are fine frozen without blanching. I sometimes do a trio mix of onion celery and carrots as a basic savoury base for recipes.
Becky - the difference between the taste of store bought canned carrots and your home canned carrots is like night and day. There’s an even bigger difference with the varieties you can grow at home. You might try canning 4 or 5 pints and seeing if you like them. My family adores them.
But aren't they still mushy? I think it would be a texture thing.
I like fresh carrots, either rounds or diced, cooked in butter, a small amount of water, and grated (or ground) ginger, garlic and salt & pepper to taste. I came up with this for two reasons. I was practicing my knife cuts, and because it makes a bright splash on your plate with an otherwise bland looking meal. And it’s so good!
We always make a batch of creamy Carrot-Ginger Soup with some of our carrot harvest. Its delish! 🥕
16:56 if ever you run out of baking powder again, consider making your own. It is very easy, and it ensures freshness. All you need is baking soda and cream of tartar and cornflour.
You have inspired me to try to plant garlic, potatoes & tomatoes! We live in an apartment so can’t have raised beds, but yesterday I planted 5 organic garlic cloves in a large pot. I’m going to try to grow potatoes in laundry baskets with cardboard in them. In the spring I’ll plant a few tomatoes in pots. Thanks Becky! 😊
Great ideas
I love doing crockpot meals when I'm canning or preserving produce, just makes the canning/preserving process more enjoyable knowing dinner is already taken care of.
I am so inspired by you! I love planning to do more then I usually do. I am excited to plan next years garden, and only plant what I like and will eat, not what I usually plant. Your energy gives me hope and the idea that I can do a few more things than usual. Thank you for letting us view a glimpse of your life.
Hi Becky, my grandma would stote her carrots in a bin filled with sawdust. She lived in here in Oregon. Didn't have a root cellar, but she did store them in a dry, cool place. They lasted all winter long. And she made the most delicious Gardiner using carrots, celery, cauiliflower, and banana peppers. I bet those sugar rush peppers would make a yummy one. I love the idea of blanching the carrotsand flash freezing them. I love both canned and frozen carrots. It was such a wonderful harvest you had this year. I am looking forward to your next video. Your friend from Oregon, JoNi.😊
I am team raisin in my carrot cake, but it’s because I’m allergic to nuts so I adopted a recipe when my kids were little and I do carrots, raisins, and apples and I do cinnamon and nutmeg and sometimes if I’m feeling fancy a little bit of allspice in the mix to make it kind of like a spiced carrot cake Being as I’m allergic to nuts, the raisins, add that depth of flavor that the nuts would add.😊🙏💜
Ps
I love your videos.
We always had plumped raisins(dark or golden) and crushed pineapple in our carrot cake, yum!
If you have never made carrot souffle then you need to try one. It is wonderful. We make it often for a side dish around our area here in south Alabama. And I am right there with you on no raisins in my carrot cake.
I haven’t made carrot cake in years but absolutely no raisins for me!If I make it again I will do mine in loaf pans.I always used a 9by 13 pan.Thank you for allowing us in your kitchen it really makes my day.
Team raisin all the way!!! We love them. Our carrots, like our potatoes, were pathetic! Not sure what I did wrong. I'll try one more time before I give it up. As of right now, the garden has been put to bed (ready for winter) and my canning supplies are back in the basement. It always feels good to get to this point. I'm going to try the carrot cake in the loaf pan. What a clever idea.
Hey from Texas, love those beautiful carrots and onions you harvested. Also we love carrot cake to the only difference is we add crushed pineapple you would not believe how great out is!! Thanks for all your wonderful videos.
I have recently come to really appreciate carrots. I think they're seriously underrated. Have you thought about making carrot juice?
Hmmmm, carrot and apple juice mixed together is my all time favorite. It takes me right back to my grandmothers garden.......
Yes carrots and apple is a fantastic juice. Try adding a small amount of parsley. The color from the parsley is so intense. Just needs a few sprigs.
Nice Becky
If you seal your bags at the very tip then after you open you still have room to reseal each time your not wasting 2 inches on top... happy sealing ❤
I'm liking raisins in my carrot cake, as well as pineapple.
My local taco shop has pickled carrots with onions and peppers. So glad you showed how easy it is to make it.
Loved your carrot salad. My mom used to make one with parsley instead of cilantro. So that brought back fond childhood memories.
I also do not care for canned carrots. I sometimes prep a small amount of carrotsc cekery, and onions and just freeze them in a ziplock bag to have on hand for a soup.
Have you ever freeze-dried or dehydrated carrots?
Yep I’m team raisin and pineapple - white/green raisins for sure☺😉
I was looking back through your videos looking for a recipe. You are one productive woman! Amazing...
Carrots cookies have always been a big hit in my family.
Ooh do you have a recipe? I love carrot cake but have never had carrot cookies
LOL--I throw everything into carrot cake--shredded pineapple, coconut, pecans and raisins. One of my holiday cakes. Takes some time to prepare, but the house smells amazing and it is tasty.
TEAM NO RAISINS!!! 😊 What about freeze drying carrots? Not sure how that would work for you but definitely worth a try. Love all videos! I get so excited when my notifications go off that you’ve posted.
I have the Avid Armor chamber sealer, so my favorite way to preserve up carrots is to make huge batches of carrot ginger soup (or any soup or stew). I cool the soup down first and then pre-package the soup into vacuum bags and lay them flat to freeze in the freezer. You can either sous vide the soup in the bag or let thaw in your sink, then open and warm in individual microwave-safe bowls for super fast prepared soups and stews.
Check and see if your Avid Armor has the vacuum seal hole, and you can purchase their vacuum seal hose and canister set. That should allow you to do extremely quick pickling or marinating under vacuum, and your pickling/marinating is done in no time. No more waiting hours for pickling or marinating your meats as the vacuum will pull the pickling spices and marinades inside of the food super fast! 💙✌️
Let the rabbits wear glasses!! Awesome harvest 😀
Freeze a small dice in bags of sofrito [carrots, celery and onions] as the base for other meals and of course SOUP!!
We're in the height of summer here in the Southern Hemisphere and there are only two left of the carrot and coriander soups I froze in the winter; cosy year-round favourite. Carrot is also great in Pumpkin soup, which I imagine would be timely for you guys too.
Baby Acre may be ready for solid food soon (or may be already! Lol) Babies usually enjoy smushed cooked carrots as a starter food. Just an idea!
My grandma used to keep her carrots in a bucket full with sand. It is easy to pull them out, sand keeps them cool and fresh over winter
For the other carrots that you have left, why don’t you diced them and freeze dry them and create freeze dried soups with noodles and seasons in jars for you and Josh and just add hot water. I love following all of your progress is of harvesting and everything that you’ve done I’ve learned a lot. I appreciate you taking your time putting this together.
We used the very large lawn garbage bags to keep away the weeds. Just laid them down where we could and tossed a handful of dirt on the corners to hold them down. Yes we spent a lot on them back in the mid 80s but not what you probably spent on the weed cloths. Take care! Love your videos! 💜 🥰
Becky have u thought about making one tray of carrots for the freeze dryer. Also make some pureed carrots for baby acre
Your parents help a lot. You are lucky to have them. I am glad you are generous with them. You are a very busy mom.
I’ve read a good substitute for baking powder is two parts cream of tartar to one part baking soda. Both baking soda and cream of tartar are shelf stable far longer too!
A friend of mine, who was a caterer used to blanch carrots, and then put them in jars with Italian dressing. They taste so good! I hope you make some carrot juice. It’s so good with Apple and fresh ginger. You read my mind about giving your neighbor, a kindness gift for borrowing.❤😊
Your carrot cake must be a Northern thing as mine does not have pecans in the cake but in the cream cheese frosting. I make mine in cake pans and I had a hard time finding a cake carrier that would hold it. It is my mother's recipe from when I grew up. I use to take them to the office for every get together we had at the employees request. One of the girls at the office took a piece home for her daugher and husband and a friend tasted it and offered me $50.00 to make her one. I nearly stroked out. I love watching you cook and bake with things that came out of your garden. I am a country girl and I wish I did not live in the city because there is no room to grow what I grew up with. Keep it up girl!!!
Hi, would you share your recipe please?! Sounds wonderful. Thank you in advance. My best regards.
Yellow and chocolate frosting is how we make carrot cake in Brazil
Becky gave us all a good reminder. Mise en place, gather all your items BEFORE starting.
Becky it’s so amazing to see what all you used your carrots for and it gives us inspiration by not wasting any thing I have already tried to pickle some with peppers I grow thank
You are so friendly thankyou,, sometimes the world is too busy to be kind
I love to keep frozen carrots in the refrigerator for soup also, diced. I’m extremely lazy, so I use the Valdalia onion chopper. It’s very simple and works great.
I get so home sick when I watch you work, I would LOVE to be there with you, me washing the carrots and topping the heads off, I was the "prepper" for mama, I would get all the jars clean the veggies ready so she could be doing other things, it's one thing I miss with mama gone, me and her canning... wish I could be there to help with the prep and clean up.....
Team “no raisins” here. Love your videos, lots of inspo!! I was waiting for the carrot harvest!!
My Irish mother in law would make carrot and parsnip mash with butter - so earthy and delicious.
Also, you can freeze carrot chunks, toss with EVOO, keep in ziplock and roast from frozen!
Carrot and ginger soup is also delish.
Thanks for sharing your day !
Just want to say thank you from my eight year old for the IP chicken and dumpling recipe. Made it for dinner it is now is favorite soup lol
I haven't grown carrots before but next year I will have a lot of carrots in my freezer...thank you for the inspiration ❤
Becky you should try fixing carrot, raisin and apple and mayonaise salad since you have so many carrots. It is delicious.
Thank you Becky! Fresh veggies taste so good. You should be so proud of your garden success this year!! YAY YOU!! Love your spirit. You are funny too. Have a wonderful rest of the week Becky!!💯🫶🏻🍂🍁💐🙌🏻🌱
My fav carrot fall meal: carrot squash/pumpkin soup with chili and ginger 👌
You should freezedry some slices or sticks with a light dusting of your home made ranch powder for snacking!
Puppies will love sliced frozen carrots too!!
All my life my mother made me a carrot cake for my birthday. She passed a few years ago and I miss that cake. Tomorrow is my birthday and I think I'll dig out her recipe and make myself a birthday cake. Thanks for the inspiration.
Sorry for your loss🙏🙏 I hope you have a Happy Birthday & Enjoy your day!
I wrapped my carrots in a damp paper towel. And kept them in the crisper drawer. They were still good when i used the last of them the end of December. I'm not swearing by this but I'm going to try again this year.
Thabk you so much for sharing your story and being so encouraging and positive about the wonderful progress you gave made! So proud of you!
