In Jewish liturgist, it is known as ''Avinu Malkenu,'' ''Our Father, Our King.'' There are word-by-word parallels between the Lord's prayer and the Jewish prayers such as ''Our Father, Our King,'' the ''Amidah,'' and the ''Morning Blessings.'' The Jewish prayer reads, ''Our Father, Our King, forgive and pardon all our sins.'' And ''We will sanctify your NAME in this world, as it is sanctified in high heaven." The Jews who lived during the 1st Century and prior referred to God as their Father.
Yes, Jesus has paid for our past, present and future sins. But that does not mean that we don't ask forgiveness and repent of any deliberate sin. If we dont have to repent of our deliberate sins, after salvation, why is there a command to say, do not grieve the Spirit. I believe that our future sins have been paid for but any deliberate sin has to be confessed , if not why would the Holy Spirit convict us when we sin. These are messages tailor made for itching ears.
God has paid the price for our future sins on the cross. But when we sin against him now, the Holy Spirit convicts us and we need to confess our sins and receive forgiveness.
