Paria is excellent quality. I own their Recharge XL and DW pads.
Their tents are rebadged Chinese oems. The Bryce is the Naturehike Cloudup and the Arches is the 3F UL Gear LanShan. Big plus though is the Paria versions have lifetime warranties and us support. They are also about the same price as their 3F and Naturehike counterparts.
They offer 10% off all the time with the "welcome10" coupon code.

Thx I’ll be sure to try this if I decide to get the tent! Got the short sleeping pad and the inflatable sit pad that I’ll be trying out this weekend.
Comfort is necessary for me to be able to hike & camp. I deal with A Lot of pain & discomfort from chronic tick diseases but I’m super excited to be healthy enough these days to be able to hike and now I’m going for my first solo camp with hiking this weekend.
I am Eager to plan a real backpacking trip but def need a lighter tent- I have the naturehike Mongar 2 which I absolutely love but it is heavy and bulky as I got the poly not the 20d..
My current big goal is to start section hiking the ice age trail next year…

@@rangerdoc1029 Be careful with the Naturehike. The different colors are actually different materials and weigh different amounts. The silnylon like the Bryce is the more expensive version, which is $120 regular price. To me it's worth the extra $30 for the Paria lifetime warranty.

I have the 2-person version of this tent, can confirm it comfortably sleeps two and VERY comfortably fits one person with pack and everything. I've used it in high winds and while it was loud from the wind, I had no issue at all with the tent bowing in.

Thanks for reviewing gear that is more entry level. My son and I got into backpacking using the Paria Zion 3p. We were very impressed with what we got for the price and weight that could be split between two people. Not as nice as some of the high end tents, but we were able to get on the trail for two of us for less than the price of some high end tents with help from this channel.

Hello Dan! I bought this tent back in December because you recomended it some months ago because I wanted to start my backpacking journey. My first backpacking trip I camped in the very top of the mountain. Performed great in the wind but I was nervous all night that the fly would come out and I would loose it. The next morning I realized the inside of the fly has some cords that you can tie to the poles, on top of having the other locks. Even better, the stakes it comes with are reall sturdy, even after a night of intense wind I needed some good effort to take them off the ground.
Thanks for recomending this tent, it is a purchase I'm absolutely pleased with.

I have used the bag down to 15F with thin base layers and it was fine. I wouldn't try to take it any colder than that without additional base layers, etc.

I absolutely love Paria! They have excellent products for such a great price. I have had the Bryce 2 person tent for about four years now and I absolutely love it. Their customer service is also very good. Good to see them getting covered here. As Dan said about trying to find bad things about the tent: i wouldn’t buy this if i was over six feet tall. Im six feet tall and have about 2-3 inches before my feet or head touches part of the tent.
I currently use their sleeping pad as a side sleeper and their trekking poles which have held up very well despite the beatings they taking when doing more extreme hikes.

Their sleeping pad is great too. It’s a little over a pound, but even after considering lighter options, I still can’t justify spending $175 on a Thermorest or Nemo pad just to probably get a leak in it. Their sleeping pad is where I will sacrifice weight for comfort and durability. Carried it through the JMT last year and it worked great. I have their Bryce 2p as well and will typically use that for casual weekend getaways. All around great products.

Thanks. I have a 2p 1997 Eureka Hobbit and this is so similar. Love that Eureka but it's no longer as weather proof or as light as newer tents. Great thing about these Paria and Eureka tents is that for a solo bike tourer, a bike (without wheels) flipped upside down can go inside the tent when camping in certain sketchier places. Peace of mind at night or in bad weather! Would like to see this Paria in better stealth camping colours like green or brown, though. The Paria is on my radar, now, in any case...

Something with a tent, sleep vision, sleeping bag, backpack, cook stove and pillow.

Wally World needs to bring back the Ozark Trail 43-ounce tent. It was roomier than this tent and had a side door with a larger vestibule. Got mine on close out for like $30 but I think they $70-ish when they were full price. You needed to spray with Nikkiwax to waterproof it but afterwards it stayed dry through 2 inches of rain over an hour of heavy rain. It’s been my go-to tent for the past ~4 years. Good looking tent for the price and I like how the foot end has poles at both ends vs a lot of other tents like this that have a Y pole and you have no choice but to stake out the foot end corners. My only gripe is that it’s really not a sub 3lb tent if you want it usable. 2lbs 15oz with no stakes or footprint (don’t really need this) but stakes are nice to have but I guess you could use sticks or rocks.

I like the 2 layers and also the vestibule to provide an extra barrier between me and grizzly bears.

Just bought one. The 1p was out of stock, and only 7 more of the 2p at the time of this comment. Looks like they have good trekking poles as well.

could you run a line across those two hooks to use for drying socks or something?

Their Arches 1 person is a roomy hiking pole setup. It held up well under 2 inches of snow also. 🏆🇨🇦

Can you do a review of the Paria Zion tent in comparison to the Naturehike Mongar 2?

Oh, man, this tent is such a good deal! I'm dying inside rn because the end-door -style tents unfortunately feel too coffin-like inside for the claustrophobic fam like myself. Seriously, I had to skip thru chunks of the video 'cause of getting panicky.
I am hoping to get a Paria Recharge pad this year, though! I have heard they actually hold up really well against other insulated pads that are much more expensive.

If you use trekking poles try the Paria Arches tent. (Not freestanding) but it has side doors and not narrow like the Bryce

I liked my old Eureka Spitfire. This looks like a good replacement and costs/weighs about the same too..
Too bad I just spent more than double on the Nemo Hornet (and its 50$ footprint of course).

I love my Bryce 1P! Its great for bikepacking and I'm looking forward to using it on my fir backpacking trip. Also their quilt is great too!

I bought one back in December based on your recommendation.
    Haven't used it yet.
This thing better not suck, Becker!

The water proofing on this tent is 5000mm but they also have the Zion that has 3000mm. The Bryce is sold out so is that 3000mm still a good rating? Should I be concerned with the lower rating when using in rain. Thanks for any insight.

I have the 2P version of this and the floor is not a 1 piece of nylon. It has a 2 piece with sealed seams which is a bummer but for the price I guess it’s fine.

Ooo, I’m going to see if they do a tiered up version like Vango do, this looks fantastic, but I’m a sucker for good metal poles.
I have an ancient 2 man Force 10 mk3 but after feeling the weight difference between my and my friends 45L packs with all the extra bush craft gear he brings I definitely need to finally upgrade even though I love my triangle tent.

Great review, looks to be a great buy at that price... $150
The only problem I see is color, I have a Big Agnes car camping tent with the same colors... it attracts bugs, especially bee's.

    Hey Dan, love your content!
I always click on the links below to see what items you have selected, but unfortunately I'm redirected based on location (no Backcountry in The Netherlands; Bergfreunde instead...). Therefore I cannot always see what the products are.
Always excited for new videos though! Absolutely love them :D!
