Railways should take measure to keep the area next to tracks clean by imposing stiff fines. This lack of initiative hurts the image of India abroad. Why is IR not imposing 'swatch bharat abhiyan' here?

I have a tip for you, you actually do don’t need to sit on that seat which you were alloted for whole journey, you can change if you find any vacant, you could have sit on your opposite seat.

You could rotate the seat in the direction of travel and maybe someone might not have fixed the seat in position so you could have asked the staff, they would have helped you or change your seat

The Indian stereotype is not actually wrong , buts its becoming more and more right , our railways is reducing the number of general class coaches and cheap trains and is increasing premium class coaches and trains , which the poor section of the society simply can't afford so some trains are actually quite nice and clean while many others are now even more stereotypical Indian overcrowded trains

India have all types of train , no crowd ,less crowd , over crowd. Slow train , very slow train & fast train ie 130 km/hr . Delhi Agra section is the only section where train can run 150 km /hr.
No offense, but the places you visited in india although the most intriguing Delhi, Agra and mumbai are the most overrated places of the country. And there is much much more beauty but that just lies outside the city! In india, the city is never considered to be beautiful you have to go more remotely to other states like the east, north or south for more pleasure, that’s just a euphemism but maybe I would say a life long experience. Like Ladakh, Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, meghalya, Arunachal Pradesh, sikkim, nagaland, kerela or rajasthan. I know these places are far off from each other but if stick to one region than you’ll get the most picturesque scenery of india, rather than the countryside of the plains (between main cities)
Most of the trash you see in India is plastic because the organic waste decomposes in the soil anyway. But you should google the phrase " Top exporters of trash" and check the countries, most developed countries ask their citizens to sort out their trash and most of the plastic gets exported to poorer countries that's how the rich countries keep their country clean and I think India should learn a thing or two from the western countries.

@@thecomment9489 Not necessary, 1st class of other trains offer ac, private room, bed etc and it's cheaper as well, if getting same or better benefits for lower price then why not opt for it.
Only thing is those trains are old and doesn't look modern.
This vande bharat trains are new so ticket prices are a bit on the higher side to recover the cost of investments.
Even tho prices are still very low as indian railways is state owned so earning profits was never a motive for them.
Nobody goes into that train, it's overpriced, modi needs to be removed
