Her stage presence is off the charts. Truly one of her best theatrical performance.
They discredit her as a singer but this woman even in her limited range can out-Express most singers. She knows how to pull the heartstrings and what emotions a song needs.
Absolutely, Madonna herself has never claimed to be a singer of Aretha/Whitney level but what she does way better than most is use her range to its potential, and this is best heard in her lush ballads which I feel are her stand out areas. Also for the doubters, just watch her live from the confessions tour singing Lament...job done!
Could not agree more...no screams...just pure raw emotions...Madonna is SO underrated as a vocalist.

Such emotion in her voice here.. She has this beautiful sadness in her voice sometimes.. Esp evident in her ballads.. Its real.. Its raw.. And it's really engaging
Initially what drew me to Madonna was her ballsy attitude and confidence, and carefree unabashed dance music. But as a fan almost 40 years, it’s her balladry that I cherish the most.
This performance was months before Madame X was completed and the theme for that year’s Met Gala was “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination” naturally Madonna was chosen as the featured artist. The limited crowd is primarily celebrities and the who’s who of art and fashion industry. Madonna teased a song “Beautiful Game” on social media which eventually became Dark Ballet and fans got a sneak preview that night long before Madame X was released. A full version of Dark Ballet is performed during the Madame X theatre tour which has not yet been released and might be difficult to find a bootleg since cell phones were collected at the door.
She have a very beautiful,emotional and underrated voice. This is show was epic and great. You must see and listen Oh Father! And You Must Love Me (live in The Sticky & Sweet Tour)! You MUST!!!!
It always makes me cry when she sings "Hallelujah", it's just beautiful... Don't ever leave us, Madonna!! Love her so deeply.

Well, that was epic! Beautifully done...heartfelt...and, yes, her voice sounds great! She's always negotiated stairs (& the stage) so well in her performances! This is no exception.
Madonna is a show woman with epic concert extravaganzas but obviously with this performance you can see how she can Reign it in and deliver a powerful emotionally driven piece of art. With her beautiful vocals, choir and lighting makes this one of her best live performances IMO. Great reaction D 👍⭐️👼

Her songs choices are always with a theme, Like a Prayer is like going into the religion, Dark Ballet is like exposing what’s behind the curtain, Hallelujah is like the salvation. 😆
And STILL they say she can't sing...doesn't matter what she does, the media will never accept her.

One of her best performances!!! For many this was unexpected! Especially the part of Dark Ballet because it was not released and everything all together, the costumes (Gaultier), coreography, choir, stage presence, her singing, I was really impressed by this!

Theme for that year's Gala and exhibition was Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination. Àn event tailor made for the woman who used religious iconography like nobody since Michaelangelo painted the Sistine chapel.

I hashtag searched #madonna #metball that very night as it was happening and was fanboying out seeing little bits of it as it was being posted. Most of this footage is clips from insta stories, gallery walls, FB Live and Snapchat from the audience. Like it’s lit all phone footage. That footage made its way to TH-cam, and someone pieced them all together. Then M’s people got a hold of the pieced together video and edited it to unify the sound and the video quality and then they posted it to M’s YT. Anyway, I too lost my marbles seeing each clip and how good she sounded in real life. She is a goddess on stage when there are dancers, lights, backgrounds .... but whe she must sing, everything collapes. Definately, she cannot sing. it's a pity and this was the re edited version 2 days after the event. The first video has been erased from internet.
