Amen & thank you for sharing the word... Talk about ceasing the moment.. I just find it so amazing how Jacob in his relentless stubbornness contends with the Almighty
& receives a reward.. I see another beautiful depiction of Gods mercy here .. I imagine God chuckling to himself as Jacob is not only desperate, but determimed to obtain a blessing from the hands that can surely release it.. hands that Jacob could not toy with, manipulate nor pry without some form of direct consequences.. .. This is why I personally believe that when you pursue something you have the rite to it.. even if your undeserving of the positive benefits that comes with... A win doesn't always go to the good guy.. it goes to the one who eagerly take's it by force.. Even in the face of a loving Father who allowed him to... sees a mere oppertunity to do a brand new thing that transcends throughout generations .. He pronounces a blessing then gives him a new name that houses the seed of the 12 tribes of Israel .. blessings from 1 generation to the next.. a total sealed deal.. God in all his supremacy, steadfast love.. Although very strong yet extremely humble had given him a great reward & blessed him with a new name that brings so much Glory to His name even to this day, forever & ever*

The angle spoke to Jacob's mother on prophecy of what will happen between her sons. Nothing says Jacob and his mother were instructed by God to do what they did. God opposes lying and deceitfulness. Not Lying is commandment. God cannot commit sin.
