    Brian, can you clarify a bit the issue with gear box not being refined. It actually have been noticed by a few other reviewers also.
    1. What exactly is the problem?
    2. How pronounced and important is it?

    That has to be the highest compact car ever sold in Canada. Everything in the interior looks like it is from the S class. Those instrument panel screens are amazing. The rear seat 40/20/40? That must be unique in the segment. Thanks for the video.

      Thanks for watching. Great package, wish we got the suspension bits that I drove.

    So, what's your prediction for the future A45 AMG, and could it be the 1-series challenger MB needs to have?

    • @BrianMakse
      @BrianMakse  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The AMG will be a blast. Great platform, great package. Something I’m looking forward to. There’s still no substitute for rear wheel drive, but I don’t think BMW is doing an M version of the 1.

      The M version of the future BMW 1 series will probably come with BMW X Drive as standard, which will make it a more rear wheel drive biased set up than the AMG A class. They probably won't do a full blown M division car, but the M140i will very likely get replaced somewhere in the lifespan of the upcomming 1 series.

      Lets hope it will come with X Drive rather then FWD. The standard 1 series of 2019 will come with FWD :'(

    Has no one gotten hands on the sedan version that Canada will get? If it looks anything like the China A Class L it would be amazing

    I can’t wait for this to hit the states. Never really like hatchbacks but this looks good to me as well as the new Corolla. I know their different prices I just meant the design of both models. I am really loving the new MBUX. Can’t wait for it to come to the GLC and the upper models.

      @BrianMakse  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not so sure the US is getting the hatch. MBUX is brilliant.

    Sorry to say, this is the most unsatisfying video car review i have ever seen.. you show the car from outside and from afar too much. You need to show more on how the entertainment media works, the space inside the car, etc

      Thanks. The new platform is the perfect basis for an AMG.

    So: 2.0l engine with 220hp, yet MB isn't advertising this as a hot hatch. How did it take VW 6 years to realise that sub 250 hp, no LSD and not track wurthy really doesn't qualify as a hot hatch anymore? Mercedes have been practicaly throwing it in their face since they launched the A250. I'm looking forward to the A35 and I would love to see a manual gearbox (at least as an option) in them. DCT is just shit if you want an involving ride and that is what a hot hatch is supposed to be.

    • @justanotherguy972
      @justanotherguy972 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      A hot hatch is a small, fast car. Thats what the A250 is and the GTI. Gearboxes don't change that fact. Your an idiot

    To be honest, the back looks like a new Kia Rio5, Or a Seat Leon, Or a Chevy Cruze hatch!
    I'm a little disappointed in the design team. Everything else is AMAZING!! Except for the fact that all cars are going electric.
