Yes works great on all finishes and Poly as well. Definitely putting the Fill n' Finish on the Mix Palette first allows for far greater color control. Then you can draw the color out on the palette and see your actual mix clearly like Derek did later in his mixing process.

An alternate approach is instead of all that sanding, you can use a razor blade and scrape the repair flat with that. Sometimes you dont even have to sand at all using a razor blade.

You still need to sand but it's definitely a time saver as you are less likely to scratch the existing finish and a razor blade works much faster.

I can totally see this being used on Poly finishes. Nitro lacquer is super easy to repair to begin with, I don't know why you would use anything other than nitro to repair nitro. Especially considering how nitro forms a chemical bond, not mechanical like poly.

Great video, thanks! Seems like a great product. Would/could you use it to fill in gaps for neck inlays?

So does it dry reasonably flat, Do you put excess glue in chip to "sink" a bit or aim to just fill it evenly?

Could this also be used to fill some of the cavities often seen in burl tops or cracks rather then a crusshed tourquois or peal filler?

Isn't this a lot of work and extra expenses, with something you could do with ex. shellac and toners?

not for hard poly finish. the shellac isn't as hard
