    I was pregnant in November 2019 had an abortion in March 2020 I never ever wanted to have one I wanted to so much t have my baby I was so happy .. But when I told my bf he was nervous and upset made me have an abortion wasn’t there at all to support me when I went through so much physical and mental pain. I was so confused and felt like I made a decision without thinking.. I cried and cried and cried and was told by him to “get over that shit”. I’m still so very hurt and I feel so much resentment. I felt so alone and I pray that god forgives me because I feel so evil for what I did. I wish everyday to take it back.

    The circumstances of a persons conception (eg, rape or incest), which is ouside our control, does NOT justify killing an innocent and vulnerable human child in the womb, which is supposed to be the most loving and safest place for every child.

    • @edres7563

      the sins of the father should never be visited upon the child. Never

    • @rahafalkhaldi1897
      @rahafalkhaldi1897 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      What about the mothers though? The responsibility of the father’s actions should never be thrown at the child AND INCLUDING THE MOTHER. Why should a 12 year old girl be forced to go through 9 months of pregnancy and give birth and nurture a baby when she’s still a child herself? A child that has been robbed of her childhood and peace of mind and now she’ll forever have a reminder of that traumatic event, she’ll never recover mentally.

    • @edres7563
      @edres7563 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rahafalkhaldi1897 Its a terrible thing for any woman or child to go through and she deserves all the love and support to help her heal and be comforted. But that CANNOT be achieved at the expense of deliberately killing her child, who is innocent. If we dont even give the rapist, the death sentence, yet how can we possibly consider death for the innocent child? Even in the most terrible of situations, we cannot kill innocent people, just because we think it will alleviate our ouwn trauma. There ARE other ways to help victims, heal from the violance of rape.
      Abortion is a violent act on an innocent child, and we cannot solve psycholigical trauma by inflicting violence and death on innnocent parties, especially if they are vulnerable children. We HAVE to do the right thing EVEN in the hardest of circumstances, because that is the mother's child too, dont forget.
      And many women often find healing and strength from their child. And if she cant, then she can at least give the child for adoption.
      There are also many women have been raped by the father of their children, and yet they love their children, no matter what, EVEN if they look JUST like the man who raped her. Should it be ok to kill those children as well, just because they remind the mother of their rapist father?

    So what about childfree muslims? People who never want children, do not have a maternal and paternal instincts? If one doesn’t have a love towards any baby and children, he or she cannot marry? If not, is it okay for a child to have parents that never want to care and love them? So messed up.

    • @bihranenur

      Cherry Blossom My question was asked to Nouman Ali Khan. But since you wrote your opinion about my comment, I would ask you several questions.
      1) You are calling it Islamic rule, so where can I find the verse in Quran about your statement, that a couple cannot stop reproduction permanently? 2) While birth control is not 100% effective, how come a couple MUST have an unprotected intercourse? 3) Why do you think if a child is a blessing for you, that it can be same to other people? 4) Parents must raise a child, since they gave them a birth, so if one doesn’t want to become a parent they will do their best to prevent having them. Hating someone and forcing yourself to love him/her doesn’t seem like a healthy solution, since the consequences can cause negative impacts on the psychology of both sides, maybe for you it’s normal? 5) Being single (unmarried) is something that normally muslims avoid since it can lead to zina, so are you supporting zina in this case? And lastly, you wouldn’t want if there were children unloved by their parents...

    Subhanallah I just had this discussion with a non Muslim friend of mine yesterday. She told me children are "expensive"! I was astonished when she said that. I've never ever thought of my child or anyone else's as an "expense". I told her I don't believe that, if God gives you the blessing of a child God will find a way for you to take care of them. It's so sad how the non Muslims think, I then realised they don't understand the concepts of Barakah and rizq. Times like that I truly wish that the whole world was Muslim.

    • @aimenfatima3653
      @aimenfatima3653 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I understand what you're saying. However I think by expensive, maybe your friend meant that it requires a person to be financially stable to provide a good means of a lifestyle in today's day. In many cases of poverty, parents have multiple children and cannot provide education, food, or any necessities. Rather some ppl believe it is best to have a few children and provide them with the best lifestyle. Also, I agree that aborting after a life is given is in a way wrong. Alongside, sex education should be something people must be aware about before intercourse. This way if they know they might have troubles raising children or providing, they don't need to take a life after, better to think and act before.

    • @Itsbreezeplayz
      @Itsbreezeplayz 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Aimen Fatima I agree with you to a point regarding what my friend said. We don't live in a third world country where it's hard to provide for your kids, we live in Sydney and Alhamdulillah we are by the means. That's why I was astonished because she genuinely believes that two kids are expensive. Whereas a Muslim knows that's far from the case and Allah will give you. It totally explains why we are the only ones increasing the ummah! You very rarely see non Muslims in the west with more than 2 or 3 kids where as many Muslim families have 5 or 6 children Masha Allah. Also, here in Sydney the non Muslims like to spoil there kids and give them iPads and nintendos and every did they want. To me that's not giving your child the best life that's just teaching them to feed their nafs! Non Muslims have a different concept of what's good for a child I think, but I can't also generalise as I've seen Muslims do the very same thing!

    • @aimenfatima3653
      @aimenfatima3653 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lovethe Deen I agree :) But yes I understand what u mean,providing a good life for your children vs providing unnecessary materialistic things are 2 different things, hence the "expense" in one situation would obviously be more if you think you must raise your child with many material things. But in today's day parents don't want their children to feel short of anything which I guess is fine, but as a final point, I just think education on sex is important, ppl shouldn't regret children once they've entered this world. It's important to think about this before so the need to think or act upon decisions like abortion doesn't come across.

    • @ireneboston4926
      @ireneboston4926 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      there are many Muslims living and raising their children in poverty. I am not saying this to justify abortion, I am against abortion, we are not to decide who should live or who should die. But I wouldn't judge poeple who use contraception and delay having kids. If someone grew up in poverty they may be scared of same fate for their kids, it is totally understandable. I don't think that being Muslim or non-Muslim has anything to do with it.

    If I’m not wrong the only time it’s okay to abort is if the pregnancy poses danger for the child and/or mother. And I get that but wouldn’t mental issues be included in this. Like a women with PTSD from rape is in no condition to carry that baby, or maybe they are. At the end of the day it’s up to that person and how they’re dealing with that situation.
    It’s always more complex than we think it is.

You see where that's problematic I'm sure. And even in this particular case, the sister is right, but not because it's her choice, but because her desire is on the same side as Allahs commandment. +Zahra Beig The brother obviously didn't mean it in that way...the entire video was focusing on the Sister who wrote the email regarding being forced to have an abortion. Pay attention to the context first then the line "it's her body, it's her choice" makes sense. Her choice is not to abort which disagrees with her husband's choice. It's like saying that the verse "and kill them where ever you find them" from Baqarah is too violent/unislamic and must be removed even though you haven't looked at the context behind the verse.

    Abortion is always a great moral wrong, I am not sure if it should be banned completely, but secular Western society normalizing and even celebrating this practice so casually is not right either. Even worse, lots of young Muslim women in America are heavily influenced by their friends or by social media and the crowd, so they also think it's "cool" and "normal" to be pro-abortion these days. :(

    The point was soooo clear by Noman Ali Khan that the life of a child is more important than anything else and the interviewer idiotically ended a beautiful discussion by saying, "It's a woman's body and her choice". That is NOT what Noman was trying to establish. The phrase Her Body Her Choice is used by abortionists to justify abortions. Noman was stating totally opposite of abortion.

    Men are not among the 240, 000 women who die each year due to complications from pregnancy/childbirth. Men need not concern themselves with the issue. An early abortion should remain a woman's prerogative. An embryo cannot think, see, hear or feel. Save your feelings of pity for the millions of poor tormented, slaughtered and eaten animals. They, indeed, can see, hear and feel..and experience fear, pain and suffering.

    • @jkfarrow6881
      @jkfarrow6881 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @MemoryDecipheR if you think a 6 week old embryo has any sentience, or can think, feel, hear, see etc., you need to return to school and study basic anatomy and physiology. I 'am' opposed to abortion when the fetus has reached a stage where the brain and nervous system are developed, but have no problem with a very early abortion or taking medication to disrupt a fertilized egg. Yet, you have no problem causing extreme pain, suffering and torture to animal just to satisfy your taste buds. You're the weirdo.

    @Bayyinah Institute A quick, but very important note: the last comment said in the video is bluntly untrue. The guy in the video ended with "The husband doesn't get to tell her that. It's her body, it's her choice".
    This absolutely contradicts the entire 5 minutes of what the video was trying to convey. It's not an issue of husband Vs. wife or of who gets to decide on taking the life of this child. The Quranic verses are not directed to husband or wife; it's not his choice and it's not her choice either. The verses simply take us humans out of the equation and say that killing your child is a sin. It's not a "choice" and it's not a "property" to be owned and it's certainly not "my body". I know it was said at the end of the video, but please take that part out of the video as it certainly can be misleading.
    Peace be with everyone and may Allah guide us all to the straight path.

    He didn't tell the woman what to do exactly. He said what her husband should do but it was not the husband who asked the question. The husband may not even be religious for what we know. Sister will stand her ground but what if her husband ends up taking his frustration out on this child? Should she be ready to divorce? Then he says that the society should not penalise the children of single mums but the society does not want to know obviously. What should the woman do?

      Of course. Pregnancy at that age puts the woman at risk of her own life. In that case, abortion is allowed. From my understanding and knowledge, any pregnancy in result of rape or is at risk to a womans life can be aborted.

    • @saraonashelf

      ***** did u not read what i said? the original commenter gave a specific age, 11 12, at that age for any woman in any country a pregnancy is a risk of her life. in which case abortion is allowed. 2) do u know what rape does to a woman? if not then u cant speak on a woman or girls behalf. i was raped at the age of 14. it destroys u physically emotionally and mentally. why should i put my body through extreme measures because some monster invaded my privacy. the sheikh in the video said that in case of a rape, its a different story. u should abort a child for someones elses actions, but how do u think a child would feel that after its born his/her mother gives them a dirty look and be reminded of a terrible act that was brought upon her.

    Excellent Episode, however, I believe that that some individuals/people need to rethink about their strategic plan in their long term goals before implementing. If you can't achieve an explicit goal such has having a family or becoming rich then induce yourself with alternative and innovative idea/goals without affecting your final results. Don't start rescinding your goals just because you are unable to achieve them or in this case, taking care of the child. Think positive, think long term.

      Kyle Ulrich That’s not surprising at all. Christians in the past were basically Muslims, they had a very clean and clear Bible, containing the words of Allah himself. Until falsification came, and most of the Bible’s words were changed by human beings. Some stayed, such as those of abortion, ones of homosexuality, and a little more. Really, there’s no consistent logic in today’s Bible. It’s truly heartbreaking. If you’re a Christian, we invite you to study Islam, and the Qur’an then try to relate it to Christianity and the Bible. You’ll find them to be very similar. The Bible, the book itself was mentioned in the Qur’an, 48. And He (Allah) will teach him [‘Iesa (Jesus)] the Book and Al-Hikmah (i.e. the Sunnah, the faultless speech of the Prophets, wisdom, etc.), (and) the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel). A side note, the Bible would be translated to the book of wisdom in the Arabic language. Just try to get deeper into your religion, and you’ll find so many illogical things.

    Are you guys planning to organise a charity to help this women and her fetus out? You know, cause they really may not be able to afford a child, everything from a diaper to higher education is insanely expensive. Also, they may not be living in a country where the government helps people with financial hardships or childcare, maybe not even free medical care so check ups and delivery would cost them a fortune. So, since you guys seem so carrying, worried about the women and the fetus maybe you can help them out? Because the child being born and having a really horrible life caused by financial disabilities and then more than likely choosing "non halal" paths to fix that ( you know, She/he may even get a job in restaurant that sells alcohol making their entire income and everything they eat of that income "haram"). So, I just think it would be really cool if you guys can financially help them out rather just sitting comfortably in with coffee(?) in your hand and judge. Okay, thanks bye :) (now I wait for the msgs on my inbox calling me a kaffir and shaytan).

What the Ustashi is saying is, it is not anyone's right to take a life of any humans however in this case he mentioned the woman's husband "he" to answer her question but it no ones rights. If you look at in the humanities law, the husband has no right to tell his wife to have abortion if she doesn't want but in Allah's shariah none of them has any right to do so.

    Maybe Nouman Ali Khan, with all respect that I have for him and the gentle way he discusses things, should avoid fiqh issues and not conclude "that's messed up", specially on complicate topics like this. It's not just people arranging the quran karim & the ahadith with the moment of "insufflation of the nafs" to get an abortion but a REAL IKHTILAF between the madhab ! To be short : hanafis & hanbali say it's hallal to "abort" before nafs insufflation WITH a real necessity, some shafiis say makrouh before & haram after, some malikis say it's totally haram in every case. If it brings the pregnant woman at a death risk, it's hallal for her to "abort" for the majority of shouyoukh. We've to question our use of that english term "abort" first, after we should avoid to compare abortion with a murder - it's a huge accusation subhannah al hakim! - specially if it doesn't fit the fiqh criterion and in the end understand that in fact the rahma of our ikhtilaf places Islam before a lot of so-called "western progressive laws" because our classical scholars understand the different steps of nafs insufflation between 40 and 120 days (so, sometimes much more than western laws allow for women to get abortions - less than 14 weeks ). In the end, it's a question for women and the relation they have with Allah taala, the husband has no part in her decision.

    • @NotStraightCat
      @NotStraightCat 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Sa Saa Salam, we are agreed on most parts. But it's a fiqh issue to call a "murder" an abortion of a foetus without nafs insufflation, we can't compare it to all kinds of situations. We all have to let that issue on real scholars, hanafiyoun & hanbaliyoun don't follow their own nafs to say it's hallal or not. Allahou alaam

      +Doyle دويل‎ abortion is messed up in most cases. especially people who think that they cant afford the child. yes, fuqaha should always be considered but dont say that brother nouman shouldnt have talked about this issue. our own moral compass should tell us that its not ok.

    • @NotStraightCat
      @NotStraightCat 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +johannes scheitel Read me again, I never say our brother Nouman shouldn't talk about this : I said it's harmful to bring judgments like this outside of fiqh considerations. Why ? Because that's far more complex that "it's haram/hallal/messup up". It's a question of Quranic grammar, authentic sunna, contradictions or not with other Quranic commands etc... I know it's tempting to use our own moral on some questions but again, in our din, it's never a matter of following our own nafs. Of course Allah the rahman gives us a din that is human fitra, so the islamic moral is natural too. But, for some people, abortion is a natural thing women use since prehistory, for some it's murder, personnal/traditionnal/cultural moral is not islamic moral. Furthermore, Allah the rahman never put on us burden we cannot hold, so It's not surprising (to me at least) that in every ibadate or in any human situations there are facilities given by our khaliq. as salam

    Though the discussion is pertinent within the context of marriage, it fails to acknowledge that the majority of abortions amongst western muslim women are done as a result of pregnancy outside of marriage, predmoninately teenagers and girls in the early twenties who are engaging in sexual relations with men during the high school and college years. It is easy to frame the issue of abortion within the context of marriage or rape/abuse, but when it is consequence of actions from socially liberal youth who mentally and socially are simply not able to raise a child - the question of abortion becomes far more complicated.... That being said, the series is a wonderful effort! May Allah guide us.

      Mu’adh ibn Jabal reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “By the One in whose hand is my soul, the miscarried fetus will carry his mother by his umbilical cord into Paradise, if she was seeking its reward.”

    If a rapist violate an inocent girl, why she should not do abortion?

    • @zohaibusmani9711
      @zohaibusmani9711 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +LGF Because it is not baby's fault. I think Ustadh was very clear in that explanation

    I don't like how this ended. All in all, it's not the women's choice or anyones period. It's a baby meant to be born. Simple as that. In rape, however, sure there can be exceptions when neccessary and only when necessary if the baby has only been conceived for

    I have a real, genuine question. There was a case where an 11 year old girl was raped and ended up getting pregnant. She died in childbirth. 1. Would that be an instance where giving birth would be dangerous to the mother and therefore abortion is allowed (because that’s the ruling in Islam) 2. Are women who have been raped, especially CHILDREN, like the case I described above, allowed to abort? I can’t fathom an 11 year old giving birth to and raising a child in the 21st century.

      Penda Ba nope. If the child is a threat to mothers health then it can be aborted. I’ve seen many fatwas online about this

      @sta._rina 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yup health comes before anything in islam. If the baby threatens the life of the mother its ok to abort. And in any case under any circumstances you can abort before 120 days though its better to ask allah for guidance i think. Allah knows best. My duas go out to that poor girl and her child

    I'm tired of seeing these people saying that you still have to keep the baby even if you get raped or have a risky pregnancy. just think about this, those babies are much safer in heaven than having to go through the suffering after they are born. Think about the women and young girls who are victims of rape and how psychologically damaged they are, and people like you ridicule and go all "YOU EFFING MURDERER YOU KILLED YOUR BABY"

      @bestieslife6353 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      actually, if u have a risky pregnancy, which can threaten the health of a mother..u can have an abortion based on some of scholars'opinions. but..if the baby and the mother are both healthy, u cant have abortion

    but what if woman wants a break from this, if she doesn't want to keep herself busy all her life,, giving birth one after another and reaping them all her life - what if she wants to do sth in her life, do good to the already existents who are suffering in the world today, or that she wants to do sth big or anything, or that she is losing her health, she is becoming weaker everytime - what in that case ?

    Good speaker who for the most part speaks the language of the pro life movement. But in the end he throws it all out the window when he acknowledges that it's the woman's choice. What if it was her choice to abort and the husband was against this? Also, I'm sure he's aware that the major part of his story goes against what the madhabs have held on this issue, so then I would expect him to address this. Maybe in another video?

    I don't agree that the mother should have to deal with the trauma of carrying a child that was conceived through sexual assault.

      Sexual assault is a different matter. In those cases its good to consult with a Shaykh. This video is about a married couple....
