Wow, just wow i'm shocked at how well that went, this is a seriously good time, and i feel would be actually hard to improve, it features a bunch of glitches and some stupidly good luck, new world record!

I did it for the 1st time today, I had no clue about how game works, did 1st prison in 19 days so pretty okay I think.

I honestly respect people who do speedruns like this because I'd never have the patience to wait until I get to the final attempt lol. This video really makes me wanna play the game again tho since I haven't even finished the first prison yet for some reason. Anyway, good job doing this speedrun even tho it's a former world record by now

@Sparky Boi it is such an important game to my EARLY childhood. im 13 now, so still in my childhood years, but 7 years ago the escapists was my life. from when i was 6-8 years old, i put 450 hours in the escapists (which is a lot since i did basketball, baseball, and soccer so year round extracurricular activities), and in the second game i put in 145 hours. second game i only played for like a year before i beat everything, then moved onto other games. almost 600 hours of this game, which for a extremely young kid to manage to do while only having an hour of free time max on weekdays is just impressive to me. i fucking love this game, and always will.

Escapists speedruns are such a fucking work of art
The only time I have ever felt bad for the guards in The Escapists is when watching this
The devs really crippled the speed runners when it comes to Jungle Compound and San Pancho

I got stuck there a while on my first run of the game. My second time around though, I did it in just 4 days! You'll make it out!
The first time I escaped Center Perks, all I did was find 3 duct tapes, 10 forks, 3 files, 1 bed dummy, and 1 guard outfit which I got from the laundry job. I made cutters using 2 files and one duct tape, then upgraded it with another file and another duct tape. I then cut a hole in my cell with 5 forks to reach that little hallway (my specific cell had that beyond the wall), hid my contraband there, and put a poster using the magazine and remaining duct tape. I then used my other forks to cut another hole into the outside later on. That night, I finished cutting that hole and went outside using my guard outfit, and cut through the 2 fences using my cutters.
Yeah I took a break from the game because it was so frustrating then I got back on and that same day I got out. Thanks!
I always just buff up and then attack until the gates open, takes around 10 to 15 mins

B6oy1004 I think it’s the hardest one tbh. It would be impossible if there were metal detectors and guards in the prison normally
@@Plututo there's one allowing you to walk through all walls etc. This means you'll walk through the landmine triggers without them blowing up, and you can walk through the escape triggers without escaping.
Yeah, that's a pain. You also can't interact with containers (save for bodies.)
However, you can still use tools. I used this to get myself easy access to the timber room. It can also be used to get all of the guards in the black space inside walls, provided you're able to knock them out (I had a plated inmate outfit, max strength and nunchucks aha) so they won't bother you. Got some nice screenshots of a roll call without guards. And then another where one decided to attend it from inside the wall.

I know how the cell key/menu glitch works, but what's the point of doing it, other than getting a free cell key? I know you can knock out a guard and replace his key with the glitched cell key. What happened to your shovel in San Pancho when you did the glitch? It goes invisible and has infinite durability?

I'm wondering how much wall clip glitches will affect this? While the one I know won't let you walk out of the exit, even in a riot, and it won't let you interact with certain objects, I'm sure it can still prove useful. It'd be nice to find a way to deactivate it without dying aswell.

i did add a timestamp in the description, and lets be real here me editing out those 10 minutes at the start and then having to wait 8 hours for the 2 hours video to render just isnt worth it

Yeah, I couldn't even beat the first one, it took me over like 2 months, with multiple new games 😂 until I found out how to beat it and I can beat it day 1 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I hope he knows that Staley flught can be beat by knocking out a guard with a hammer or crowbar then taking uniform and baton and knocking out every other guard. Right?
Without a plated outfit or max strength, you really won't be able to knock out and tie up the guards. Don't you think either he or other runners tried?

Clicking let him see how much they liked him iirc, he needed them to like him enough to beat up the guards for him
