This is a hidden gem of a video from back in the day when MTV showcased real music or just music in general. I go back and watch this video every couple of years to get my fix.
I can't tell you many of his later songs, but this one I remember courtesy of MTV. He has a soul tinged voice that makes you want to keep listening. Good choice on this one ✌
Jamiroquai is actually a band, and is pronounced “jam-eero-qwai” (well that’s the best way I can spell the pronunciation lol” Still though, amazing band.
This song isn’t one of his best songs but enjoyable nonetheless. I personally like Space Cowboy 🤠 He was really young here: in his 20s and he, of course, wore one of his signature hats which he was renowned for wearing. I saw him the other day on tv 📺 but didn’t recognise him because his hair was greying and he had put on weight.
Sorry for being pedantic, but they are a band, not an individual 😉 Nick Van Gelder wrote the music for this song. He has his own TH-cam channel and has uploaded some early Jamiroquai performances. Try ‘if I like it, I do it -DJ D-Zire scratch Monitor Mix’ for a different take on this track ✌🏼
@@MrBillyboyroge Well, I stand corrected but I don’t pretend to know everything about them or their lead singer. Admittedly, I only have about two of their albums. Maybe, you’re one of their most ardent fans?
@@Dirtyvinyl23 I’m just old and have followed their career from the beginning lol it’s often a misconception that it’s an individual as most of their videos only really show Jay Kay. The band was his brainchild though and he was signed by Sony Music Corporation. He put the band together for the live shows. Toby Smith (RIP) played the keyboards and co-wrote a lot of their songs on their first 5 albums before departing the band in the early 2000’s. The original bassist (who you see in this performance) was a mere teenager when the band formed. He sadly left the band in 1998
@@MrBillyboyroge Well, thanks for the info! I didn’t know that one of the members died and the youngster at the time of this live show end up leaving. I personally don’t know or have never met the lead singer but he strikes me as having a very strong personality. By the way, didn’t lead singer have his teeth 🦷 knocked when he got into an altercation with a newspaper journalist? The lead singer is obviously creative and has a good voice but, personally, he strikes me as arrogant!

Music like this is never out of style. Maybe I should just say it is timeless.

Don't know if you've ever listened to Paulo nutini singing iron sky live at Abbey road studios, but it is outstanding.
Nick Van ‘Groove’ on the guitar is responsible for the groove on this track
Not bad for the band’s drummer ✌🏼
I always say I love Jamiroquai. I don't wanna keep saying the same thing. But I love Jamiroquai.
Official music video of Space Cowboy... you’ll see some crazy dance moves
You should react to Jamiroquai - Space Cowboy live in Montreux Jazz Festival 1995 👌 10/10

He knows really - dunno why all the reviewers pretend they have never even heard the name Jamiroquai before??
