  • Tropical depression Urduja coming in strong with lots of rain. Biliran highway between Naval and Kawayan on the island of Biliran in the Philippines is starting to be flooded. A few hours after this video was taken the Sabang school seen to the right side of the road was washed away by a mud slide.
    Tropical Storm Kai-tak, known in the Philippines as Tropical Storm Urduja, was a late-season tropical cyclone that affected the Visayas during December 2017.
    The Davis Station based in Brgy. Calumpang, Naval, Biliran recorded an 80 mm rainfall in one hour on Dec. 16, 2017, 4 PM. Much of the landslides occurred around that time.
    The equivalent of 80,000 metric tons per sq.km. of rainwater fell every hour for a few hours on December 16th.
