I miss going back to my grandmother's house in Bandung. There's something about the vibe of Bandung that I just can't get enough of. I miss the cool mountain air, the friendly people, and the delicious local cuisine. I'd love to spend a weekend wandering around the city, soaking up the atmosphere and reminiscing about the good old days ~ ❤
Bandung also become my "sweet escape" from Jakarta's busyness. It's always refreshing to go to Lembang and enjoy the fresh air. Glad you enjoyed your time in Bandung ^_^
I've been to SG, MY, TH, VN and i think ID have the best train system in Asean so far.. NGL ! And FYI Indonesia isn't like Singapore, Malaysia or Brunei that almost every people could speak English 😂
The pulut hitam you eat is actually usually used as a condiment for the green beans porridge which is sweet so it will be balanced, and from the video you also could make a combination for a sum-sum porridge (the white thing) combined with Candil (brown soup with white balls)
Girl I'm glad that YT algorithm suddenly brought your new vids to my feed (probably because I'm Indonesian). Love your vlogging style and especially the witty subtitle writing haha! I see that you've done some research before visiting every place 👍 Fun facts, I'm currently in my notice period of quitting corporate 💃 and I always have an interest in social studies as well. Ok gonna watch more of your vids. Keep up the good work! 🎉
@@yuldaze I'm planning to start my own project while also looking for remote gigs. Hopefully later I can save enough time and money to travel the world 😁
glad you booked a room in Padma! my fav hotel in Bandung so far 💖 great view, hospitality, foods, and cleanness i suggest you'd like Sentul area with its many beautiful panorama-cafes, just choose the highest rates and see the reviews on google maps! it's also a pretty quick 45 minutes - 1 hour car rides from Jakarta.
Lol great to see you feeling excited and happy in bandung! The yellow cracker is supposed to be dipped with brownish peanut sauce, maybe they misplace the sauce and you grab the meat soup lol but nvm your combination looks nice It’s good that you stay in lembang instead of downtown. Nice choice👍🏻 W the pulut hitam, I guees the saltiness came from coconut milk which is savory here
Ahh I did see some peanut sauce that looked like Singapore’s rojak sauce! So that’s what it’s for 😂 and yes the saltiness comes from the coconut milk!! Lembang was AWESOME! I’m definitely going back to explore further out of the city ✨
The veggie you ate from ayam kaleyo dish (in Braga Art Cafe) is boiled cassava leaves, it's a staple vegetable in lots of Indonesian regional cuisine, including West Sumatran(/Padang) cuisine, I like them when I eat my Nasi Padang too heheh 😺
I am so glad to see your videos on Indonesia trip. You can go to another city in Indonesia like Yogyakarta, you will be experienced to Javanese heritage and culture over there :)
New subcriber, by the way, How do you know the area where we escape the tiredness of work in Jakarta and Bandung. I didn't expect that many tourists from Europe and America don't know about this place, they only know about Bali. Honestly I was surprised
Thanks for the sub! I first got to know of Bandung through an Indonesian friend from Tanjung Pinang :) been wanting to visit for years but the flight ticket from sg is very expensive. Glad to finally visit thanks to the HSR!
Nice content yul daze..i just remind you all that end of time is near prepared with do charity because you have obligation to God for you goodness in eternal life..
Wah you even stayed at Lembang? Niceee! Btw the dipping is.. i don't recognize it too tbh, but it looks like tongseng lol I could be wrong tho. Whilst the veggies is either cassava or papaya leaves
Bandung was colonized by The Dutch since the 1800s and Braga street was like the capital busy street here back then. You may saw a lot of old colonial dutch buildings and there’s one restaurant called “Braga Permai” that has been there since the 1920s, you should go there lots of authentic food there!
@@yuldaze btw, the Indonesia hotel themes are quite common outside main cities since natural beauty is in abundance! many Bali resorts make the most of it.... but a lot of walking....! great vlogs as always!!
I giggled a bit when you tried to pronounce "tahu jurig" 😆. Jurig means demon in Sundanese, so Tahu Jurig means Demon Tofu 😂. It's more of a menu from that restaurant rather than an actual traditional cuisine, the name is probably to emphasize its spiciness. That veggie you ate near the end of the video are cassava leaves, a common side in Nasi Padang rice sets.
@@yuldaze welp another reason to comeback here 🙂 also check out place like Warung Surabi and order at least 2 Surabi, one with Oncom and one with Egg/Telor.
Hello! Nope, I just book Grab car. On the first day, one of the Grab drivers offered to take us around for half a day at a fixed fee, which we accepted :)
