    Thanks for the video, quick question. I've built a site where companies can post jobs. When clients submit the 'job posting form' it adds their job to the 'job listing' that all non-logged-in users can see. How do I create a form that allows the companies who posted their job, to see only their job specifically and that it is live?

      Hey love the idea! Hmm 🧐 there a view ways you could do this but it involves rules and filtering you set up.
      Also I could see this being done depending how you setup your database or if you’re using airtable et c. Hope that helps you go in the right direction.
      feel free to give more info

    Hello Doc. I am trying to create a web app where the source data is excel and google sheets with calculations and many v-lookups. I need this to create a much better experience for my clients. Ultimately I would like my clients to have the capability to log into a web app and have access with a user interface to utilize our documents and spreadsheets. Our spreadsheets are basically used a calculators. Is this something that Softr can do? Thank you so much!

      There are a few factors that might not be best for softr.
      In general, I believe it might be possible but it seems like weweb might be better for your use case- www.weweb.io/

    Hey doc, I am trying to make a basic app. Basically a grid of pictures with information about them when you click on them. Thats basically it. Is this a site i should consider, or is there a much simpler one?

    • @docwilliams

      Hey! Great question! For your use case I would prob stay with softr.
      If you had images and it would be a quiz or game type I would recommend a different type but this is the best

      With softr at this time unfortunately no.
      You could great elements of that but it does not have those capabilities at the moment

    Hi Doc, it seems the feature to copy your Softr template to Airtable as part of the initial setup is no longer there. Is there an alternative way to sync the two?

    • @docwilliams
      @docwilliams  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Mphosi thanks for the question! This is an old tutorial and I don't remember but are you looking at the API Key section of the video?
      Please let me know more details.
      The process to start with a template in Softr and integrate it with your airtable account is shown in the updated Softr tutorial for 2023 here- th-cam.com/video/naerFJwmeew/w-d-xo.html
      Hope that helps!

    Hi Doc! Can web apps be downloaded from apple app store and google play store and have an app icon on your phone?

    • @docwilliams
      @docwilliams  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey great question! You can submit them to the app store if you're using a app wrapper. Again depends the exact platform you decide but there are ways to do it.
      Also tell me more about this- why you do you want your web app to be in the app store?

      @@docwilliams Thank you so much! I am working on building a directory app and I want it to be easily available for students and parents when they are on the go. I want users to be able to access the information they need by clicking the app on their phones instead of accessing via a link or website only. Ideally, I'm looking to have a native app with a website attached. I'm very new to the no code app world and I'm trying to understand all of the lingo. I started with Appgyver and thats a little too advanced for me so I switched to Softr and it seems like that is easier to understand but there are few things that I'm having trouble wrapping my head around.My apologies if anything in my explanation is confusing.I really appreciate your help, Doc!

      Great question!

      @@docwilliams I've never understood the sense of background music on video tutorials by the way. If I wanted to listen to music I can just play anything I like. It's highly unlikely I'll like the tutorial music but if I did I'd want to listen to it and it would be a distraction. Conversely, if I didn't like the tutorial music, it would be an annoying distraction. If I'm in an environment I can't control, a coffee shop for example, I now have to listen to two different types of music at the same time. Music also adds nothing to the tutorial.
      P.S. I'm watching your 'Softr for Beginners 2024 No Code App Builder' video and it's better than the official overview video :-)

    I do not see the same things you do when creating the app. I see a list of all templates. Not seeing a starting point. you're a really great teacher, thank you. I'm going to see if I can build the apps that I'm working on in this tool now. Previously you've shown me Adalo and I've built in that as well a GlideApp. so far I like Adalo for what I'm doing so far but let's see how this one goes.

    • @docwilliams
      @docwilliams  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sounds great!
      Glad you're enjoying the content. Softr you can start with a blank canvas and start from scratch. Most people are asking to get started quickly and so I tend to lean towards using a template and Softr has a lot of great starter templates for no ones coming into No Code. It's not a platform that's perfect or for every use case.
      Hope all goes well on the project you're currently working on.
      Take care!
