I never tried anything lush before. So I need your recommendations. I tried Armani prive house because you said u loved it and your right. I started this perfume journey because of covid but I watched u for many months before I decided to do anything. So thanks for the push. Your channel is amazing and u really know your stuff.
@@PerfumeswithPat Thank you so much for your kind words! 😊 I'm very happy to hear that you enjoy the videos and that you're now on your own perfume journey.
Ahhh, Arlene, I’m so glad you liked Yog Nog and Lord of Misrule (you actually started with three excellent scents here). Yog Nog was last year's Christmas scent and it came in shower gels, body lotions (unfortunately with glitter, but hey, I can be a delicate little, glittery fairy some days), bubble bars etc. I really have to be in the mood for this one and it has to be icy cold outside because this is a fragrance that works like a blanket. It keeps you warm and is such a cozy, comforting fragrance. But it’s really gourmand, and, as you know, there are few gourmands I really like. Yog Nog is one of them, and I was pretty sure that you would love this one. 😂 The same goes for Lord of Misrule in a way (they’ve always got Lord of Misrule bath bombs around November for Halloween). Goddess is a scent that my partner really likes in the soap form (according to him the best soap by Lush). I was actually surprised that you got the oud straight away as it is predominantly a jasmin fragrance on my skin ... with the oud backbone that I don’t mind in this one. I have never tried this on a strip so I don’t know how it develops on paper. There is something about Lush fragrances that just feels wholesome (I don’t know if this is the right word). They aren’t polished and blended to perfection, but honest, bold, uncompromising and interesting fragrances. I hope you’ll find something you love.
Heya Andreas! I hope they re-release Yog Nog. I find myself thinking about this one randomly throughout the day. Perhaps it's because Crunchie bars aren't available in NL and I do long for tastes from back home. So glad I was able to discover that one through you. Same with the others of course. Goddess...I've tried it on my skin after filming this video and I still get the oud straightaway. I guess it would be something I'd have to be in the mood for. Looking forward to discovering more of them. It's fantastic how they have the guts to put things out there that are much different from what's typically being released nowadays. :D
Delicious Delights I never had a crunchy bar but if it tastes like Yog Nog smells, it’s something I’d definitely enjoy 😊. Here’s to more bold fragrances by Lush (and I do hope that Yog Nog will be rereleased; they will definitely have the bubble bars around Christmas time ... at least they were available during the past two Christmas seasons). Yog Nog and Lord of Misrule are my favourite scents for shower gels (you should try the LoM one if it’s available) and bath products by Lush and I stock up on them whenever they’re available. Have a lovely day, Arlene!
Oh my goodness, yes! That’s the perfect way to describe Lush fragrances! Not polished or blended in any elegant manner, but bold, honest, and uncompromising 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
@@DeliciousDelights Hi, l have tested it a few weeks ago in a UK store on my skin and it is amazing! On me it is a very realistic powdery cocoa with some fruity notes (orange and bergamot)l would say it's actually very juice Very enjoyable, easy to wear, not to sweet on me, sort of fresh/sweet/fruity, could wear it all year round, hope it helps 😊
I've only tried snow fairy and let the good times roll so far but love them both. They're the most potent body sprays I've ever used. Yognog sounds beautiful 😍
Twilight is my favorite Lush fragrance. It is a great lavender and tonka. Vanillary is a very nice jasmine vanilla. Breath of God is a beautiful melon incense. Rose Jam is just what it sounds like. There are soooo many others. Lush is a favorite house of mine. Of those you tried, Lord if Misrule is my favorite. It is so interesting. They do a lot of products in that scent in the fall and winter. It was a Halloween scent that became very popular!
I have 2 Lush perfumes: Sun and Lust. Sun is amazing for summer, it literally smells like a mandarin. But is doesnt last well. Lust is a heavy sambac jasmin, but I’m never in the mood to wear it. So I kinda regret buying it. I’m not sure if I’m gonna buy Lush perfumes again... maybe lord of misrule, but I don’t have a Lush here in Groningen so I can’t try their scents for a while.
It is so frustrating for me to not be able to find Lush samples! I live three hours from the nearest store (and that’s in the Before Times when I used to shop recreationally.) I’m just not willing to blind buy most of the time. I do love their Rose Jam bath gel. It’s a sweet rose with a kind of light hoppy-citrus note.
Year's ago I purchased LoM via LUSH Kitchen UK since it was exclusive. Yog Nog perfume was also a Kitchen exclusive. They were both re-releases. Sultana of Soap was a another UK exclusive that I have. They all perform great. If you like Yog Nog, you'd enjoy Honey I washed the kid's. Some are being discontinued.
I have tried a few lush perfumes but my top 4 choices are Lust, lord of Misrule, pansy and sun. Sun and Lust are perfect for summer. Lord of misrule is perfect for fall and winter. I am going to use Pansy as a everyday perfume.
I sooooo agree with you about Lush. It’s a house I have been interested in but not being able to sample is a bummer! Thanks for pumping out the reviews!
Wait what? How can you guys not sample?? With every bopis order i receive multiple samples without even asking. And with each online order, you can request samples in the "gift note" section at checkout. Before covid they used to also give out many samples while shopping in store you just have to ask. The only things they dont sample is liquid fragrances. They same literally everything else though including solid fragrances and lip balm etc
I love Karma, just love it. Also Rentless for October and November. I'm one of those who loves plan patch oil, the dirtier and mustier the better, so I will check out Lord of Misrule and add it to my neverending patch collection.
Lush is unusual. I have What would love do, which reminds me of gingerbread cookies. Junk, that is a blackberry bomb to my nose and the last one is 1000 kisses deep, which is a warm comforting scent. My next on the buy list will be Pansy
Rose jam is in my wish list and I will cannot wait to the weekend when I am planning to visit the store...thanks for sharing the other alternatives... I am planning to try as many as I can 😘😘😘😘👍👍👍👍
@@DeliciousDelights another super strong/real rose/ really cheap is tea rose from workshop tea company. 11 euros in notino...with this one. .you have to really live classic rose perfumes😘 hope it helps
Has anyone tried Bath & Body Works Wicked Vanilla Woods? How does it compare to Lush Lord of Misrule? I saw the notes of the BBW mist and thought it might be a dupe for Lush LOM! If anyone has smelled the 2, please let me know!
@@DeliciousDelights Forget the niches on my collection, Tom Fords, Guerlains, discontinued gems, you name it. That body spray in my boyfriend's favorite scent on me, ever. Must be the buttery popcorn and caramel.
Hi Tina. I tried it after filming this and got mostly a pungent oud on me straightaway. I don't mind oud but I guess I'm just not in the mood for it atm :)
