You have the best job on the planet! ❤ As far as the second house, so amazing on the restorations to the old ways. I would love to see this. History is so amazing and fun to explore.
Simply love these guided tours and history you’ve given us. I’ve always wanted to run thru a passage / hall way in my socks, just to glide across the marble. I’ve always wanted to find a room with great acoustics and just sing. I would love to find carved writings in glass or wood. The way we connect to the past is thru artifacts because it’s a way for them, to tell us they’re still here. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for such a beautiful tribute to the past. I also love how your personality shines thru too. ❤
I love the rerun videos. It reminds me of the castle & manors I would have forgotten. The beautiful gardens , ponds, & pools. The owners speaking on the history thereof. Thank you, Julie. ❤
I just love this! How special that she was able to get her old home back. So many cool things. I have an old bellows that was turned into a coffee table. 😊 Cool tree house and I love how old ways are being used to restore. That was the coolest priest hole, it’s huge. What a beautiful plunge pool, the flowers make it so magical. You can feel the old Victorian vibes. I bet money that Queen Victoria snuck off to the pool for sure. So many cool things to learn here. ❤
Julie, I love the reruns. I love seeing the owners & hearing the history of their home. I know you are busy with many projects. It's ok to give out a rerun. I appreciate all you do with the amazing project done by you and Luke. You love nature and history, and you and Luke give back, too. We'll done❤
Greetings from the beautiful Hudson Valley. Our ancestors left Hingham, Norfolk for Connecticut in 1640, and to the best of our knowledge, none of the succeeding generations have never returned. Your wonderful and informative videos have motivated us to consider crossing the pond for a visit. At least we won't have to sail back! Love the reruns and everything Mapperton. Cheers and Happy New Year!!
I love this video! Love the family history and how they were able to get it back. I was crying hearing the story. And the story of the painting with the horse (a beautiful painting) I was crying for that one also. Bringing it back home and hanging it.. Just wonderful! The oldest tree house in the world... How Great! I noticed the ornate window behind you (Julie) as you were working on the lime wash. That window is just so unique and beautiful. I love that tree house! That does look like Queen Victoria face on the mantle of the fire place. those round boats look like so much fun. I am referring to the first house you visited in this video, Pitchford Hall. I have seen the second house visit in a previous video.
❤ wonderful story amazing family and you Julie. I hope many visitors help you stay in your homes. Also Giles home is fantastic too many thanks from Australia.
Julie I remember this tour from a couple of years ago. I wonder if James and Rowena have made a bit of progress on their restoration efforts. Can you provide an update for us?.
The 1776 bell at Pitchford Hall was cast by the Whitechapel Bell Foundry in East London. This historic foundry, established in 1570, was renowned for producing high-quality bells, including the Liberty Bell and Big Ben. The bell at Pitchford Hall is a testament to the foundry’s craftsmanship during that period. I live in Stepney about 10 minutes walk from the Bell foundry. As soon as I watched this, I thought oh my God, I bet that was cast there. Along with Big Ben and the Liberty Bell.
It's been reported in documentaries that Victoria stayed in the same room as her mother until she was older because of how protective her mother was over her. Which ultimately led to Victoria being bitter towards her mother for the overprotectiveness later in life. It really doesn't make sense that Victoria's mother would put her in the cold part of the room when she was so worried about Victoria surviving till Queenhood. Just my two cents.
its proof the multiverse with alternate timelines exists. you get that feeling you have been places before but than we zapped from an other timeline :xD
It's her videos, let her do whatever she wanted, you control freaks or you can always change into another channel if you don't want to watch it, just as easy as ABC 🙄
We have a lot of new subscribers and therefore, we create long episodes from the beautiful content we have created which takes months to create one of these episodes.
@@AmericanViscountess I’m a new viewer and thought the owner of the first mansion bought her house back 9 years ago and it’s still in a state of decay😅 It takes away from their amazing story so I believe it’s important to put on the title it’s a rerun for context which op pointed out, albeit rudely.
I really enjoyed this family, their beautiful home, and the overall episode. Good energy.

Rowena is just amazing. She is so real and has such a passion for the house. Remarkable that she's found a partner to make the dream come true. Wow!

Loved seeing this one again. Any chance you’ll produce an update?
I swear I've watched this before. Still, great episode.
❤
There is a man in the US NW who builds these fantastic treehouses. He should have a field trip and come see the one at Pitchford.
same video same time last year and the year before? and the year before that ! what is going on ? this recorded in the 1990's ?
Julie & Luke said in a "spill the tea" video that they would be putting videos together for long form and re-releasing it.
I’ve seen this before.

TH-cam has been pushing more longer timed content. Many TH-camrs are doing this and combining older videos into longer form content.
I remember seeing a documentary on Hinchingbrook before, can't wait for an update!
There’s nothing net zero about solar panels!
Please check your records I have been in Alberta Patron since April of 23 and I did not receive a Christmas card this year
Start disclosing re posts!!
I do like that kiddo but this is absurd no ? i bet he is 14 now lol 😂
The little boy is lovely. How old is he? He is really tall, but maybe 6 or 7?
Why do you do rebroadcasts as if they are new! Can’t you label them as such?

@ but anyone can go through the old episodes. I don’t get it! Mostly can you not mark it as a rerun?
Have you done an episode on Sir Walter Scott's home?
We have filmed at Abbotsford and will be airing this episode in the spring!
