A new American gospel, as the palaces burn, Ashes of the wake are the best 3 albums ANAG is the kick in balls and chokehold, ATPB is the shaking awake and slap and AOTW is the getting up and angry. Each album builds on the last and true evolution in listening then it continues in sacrament and beyond.
Its hard! I like every album, but the latest album was good but didnt hook as previous records. As the palace burns i one of the best defiently(no skipper).
Being a Virginia native, I've been able to follow Lamb of God from the beginning. I am delighted to see their evolution and success. They are a humble group of guys who have a forged their way to being a consistently unique, powerful band. It makes my heart happy that they are still slaying it after 25 years. Truly, one of my favorite bands. Thank you!!!
Ashes of the Wake is by far the best Lamb of God album. It's the 2000's Cowboys from Hell/Master of Puppets album and top to bottom it's perfect. Laid To Rest, The Faded Line, Now You've Got Something To Die For, Hourglass, Omerta, and my personal favorite Blood of the Scribe make this an amazing album.
For a band that has literally NEVER made a bad album, thats hard to say but as for my own nostalgic reasons, I will say "Ashes of the wake". I became a fan during the "As the palaces burn" which I still believe is one of the greatest records ever made. Just where I was personally in life and how well it related to my experience.
That was my first time seeing all 3 of those bands. It was still to this day the most brutal shit I've ever been in. A guy lost an eyeball and crushed his eyesocket in and people being brought out on stretchers. So damn good.
Hands down one of the best interviews and most intellectually spoken artists of this amazing time period. Lamb Of God will always be legends and their songs are my life's soundtrack.
Didn’t know Morton had lost a child ,first time I saw them he wasn’t there because his wife was giving birth .I kinda dropped off after resolution, good album saw them on the tour they sounded great .I actually like sturm und Drang more now than I did . I won’t comment on the two albums after that because I’ve not listened to them much after the first few listens .Palaces too wrath they where a massive band for me . I imagine I probably sound like the guy who got in to Metallica on ride and left after load but hey Ho I saw them last year with Kreator and on the slayer farewell tour , and they still sounded great . Long may they continue to enjoy their success
I knew of LOG from when they came out, and I saw them at Ozfest in 2004. I was never a real fan of the type of vocals that Randy does. I wouldn't mind it so much if it had some melody within it. Jinjer or Opeth would be a perfect example of vocals I like because it's a blend. Randy is just straight out growl the whole time. But, I'm a huge fan of Megadeth and when Adler was rumored to play with them, I went into LOG to hear what he would possibly lay down. I knew Adler was a beast in drumming, I just never really listened to his band much. Sacrament was recommended to me and man do I really love that record. For some reason, the vocals didn't bother me. It's just was an overall great listen with fantastic songs.
YALL R TIGHT FAST N HEAVY WITH THE BEST BREAKDOWNS N BUILD UP^S ITS LIKE PROGRESSIVE TECHNO BUT METAL YOU EXPLAINED IT PERFECT DEFINITELY IN MY TOP 5🤔 THE GOVERNMENT N RELIGIOUS REFERENCES N THEMES ARE TOPICS I LOVE AND A FEW PARTY ROCK N ROLL VIBES 2 DAMN I COULD BE A WRITER LOL I THINK I AM LMAO🤣😂😭 MELODIC WAS THE WORD I WAS LOOKING 4💥💯
I seen these guys with hatebreed and Megadeth in Rogers Arkansas no offense to Megadeth Lamb of God stole the show and they kicked everybody's ass... Lamb of God fan for life always has been always will thank you for your music
Lost respect for them when they went on tour with a known white supremacist. Especially when Randall has publicly denounced racism and bigotry. I don't understand how he could go on tour with Pantera. I used to listen to Pantera but all the footage of them being racist and homophobe and still Phil stand by it I can't. Still love lamb of God, guess it's just a $$$ thing. Cause I could only imagine the amount of racist homophobes at a Pantera concert. I went to a social distortion concert and holy hell everywhere I went skinheads with Pantera shirts

Ashes of the wake
Ashes for me. i learned a lot of riffs off “as the palace burn” as well. They haven’t put out any bad records.

Ashes of The Wake is one of the most flawless metal records I've ever heard.
It’s the only LOG album I love. Everything after that all kinda sounds the same to me.

Dude the first 1.5 mins of Hourglass is insane
The last song, Remorse is For the Dead, is imo the most underrated track on the record
@@a.kguitars930 totally agree. Unreal groove
yeah I definitely would have to agree that Ashes was a defining album in this legendary bands achievements.
I like all of them. They never really make a bad record. That's a hard thing to accomplish.
💯
Nice to listen to intelligent and humble thoughts from a member of one of the great metal bands of the last 15 yrs

Subliminal versus tour 2005 in new Orleans Louisiana was my first ever concert . been a fan of lamb of god ever since.
That was my first time seeing all 3 of those bands. It was still to this day the most brutal shit I've ever been in. A guy lost an eyeball and crushed his eyesocket in and people being brought out on stretchers. So damn good.
Such a great band

For me, Ashes and Wrath tie for favorite, Sturm and Sacrament for runner ups. Self-titled is pretty good, Resurrection Man is a BEAST of a track \m/
To hard of a question. Lamb of God has been my favorite band since I heard Vigil 15+ years ago.
I heard 11th hour over the radio at a car audio store in 2003 and I was hooked. I still remember that.
LoG for life🤘
I seen these guys with hatebreed and Megadeth in Rogers Arkansas no offense to Megadeth Lamb of God stole the show and they kicked everybody's ass... Lamb of God fan for life always has been always will thank you for your music
