  • When God creates woman, He gives her a unique identity and purpose in life. God designs a specific role for woman to fulfill and, by living out that role, to increase human flourishing.

This is a great sermon, but to add more meat to the message, Matt can talk about “3 practical ideas” that wives can be helpmates to their husbands, similar to the Man’s Purpose sermon earlier in this A Beautiful Design series. I think that just as husbands show sacrificial love to their wives, it is important for wives to RESPECT AND APPRECIATE what her husband did for her, as said in Ephesians 5:33. Wives should be willing to come under a husband’s sacrificial leadership that takes her needs into account and help him to accomplish God’s purposes where he is weak. Today’s culture, influenced by feminists, is becoming more disrespectful than ever for the sacrifices men make: belittling men, telling men they are useless, telling women they can take the leadership mantle of the home and make men more feminine etc. More Christians should fight this battle from the Left as it is Satan’s plan to destroy marriages, family, church and society as a whole.

Thank you for not qualifying this. God’s plan is His plan. God doesn’t need us to defend Him from His own purpose. He is not embarrassed, ashamed, or worried what the World will think, and we don’t need to soften His Word to make it palatable.
