Crunch Buttsteak I just bought it because there aren’t many A24 titles on 4k and seeing how good time didn’t get one i doubt uncut gems will get one anytime soon.
My March 2020 pickups so far (Still gonna grab some stuff before the month ends): -007: The Sean Connery Collection, Vol. 1 (Dr. No, From Russia with Love & Goldfinger) -1917 4K -The Ten Commandments (1956) Blu-ray -Troy Blu-ray (“You sack of wine!”) -Uncut Gems Blu-ray -Up 4K -WALL•E 4K -Zero Dark Thirty 4K I might go to Walmart (since it’s the only place left that’s open as of now) and pick up some films to upgrade on 4K and find other things and I just preordered the Star Wars Skywalker Saga 4K set from Best Buy which I’ll be picking up on Tuesday (I’m a complitionist and it was worth the price at least, so don’t @ me).
Physical Media sales are very high this year most they been in years it seems. Streaming is obviously kicking ass but Arrow Criterion Scream Factory are doing very well
I still collect physical media and I'm glad. Was without streaming for almost two weeks and had my VCR and PS3 set up. Watched a lot of VHS. I still use streaming but I prefer to have a physical copy.
With everything thats going on right now it’s comforting to know I have my blu-rays if the internet goes out. You can always rely on physical media! Btw that 1917 tin box is awesome. 👍
1917 truly deserves to watch in 4K and I m really impress with what they did with that big box release as well. Loved A Quiet Place Blu-ray too. It's crazy both are one of my all time favourite and they both looked Amazing.
I miss going out to my AMC theatre every week and being able to watch movies :( its the one thing that kept me going out all the time. The last movie i got to watch before they were shut down was The Invisible Man which was better than I expected then a few days later the shutdowns happened.
There is perks to using both outlets, streaming and physical. I like to own my favorite movies on dvd where I can rewatch them all the time. But I’m not going to collect movies on dvd if I only watch it once. That’s where streaming services are much more convenient.
I'm sitting around at home watching classic movies that I missed in cinemas over the past few years that I have on blu ray and DVD and in 4K picked up rise of skywalker on Sunday in 4K
Im going to have to order so many movies during this. I'm not gunna be watching 720p netflix. I like being able to pick up and look at the bluray cases aswell. That probably sounds so weird 😂
I haven’t been watching many films lately. I am happy to say that I finally went back and finished Dark Souls Remastered on my PS4; played through it twice. It was always unfinished business for me and I’m happy I finally did it. My one silver lining for this damn quarantine.
I've been watching TV on my Brand New Android Box. Been watching a lot of Cozi TV which has the old TV shows from the 70's like The Six Million Dollar Man, The Bionic Woman, Emergency, and Starsky And Hutch. Plus a lot of HBO, Cinemax, Encore, Starz, Showtime, and The Movie Channel. Plus been watching a lot of my Blu-ray's. Hopefully within the next few months I'm going to attempt to add to my Blu-ray Collection The Ten Commandments featuring Charlton Heston. Now I'm hoping to find Ben Hur on Blu-ray with Charlton Heston as well.
I can’t speak for everyone’s kids, but my daughter loved Frozen 2 just as much as the first one, or atleast I think she does consider how much she’s watched it over the part few weeks.
My favouitres from your list are 1917, Parasite, Doctor Sleep, Swamp Thing and Knives out. I don't own that many DVDs and blu-ray's, most of it is DC stuff. cool video :) I already have shows and a few movies to catch up on, including Game of thrones
If anyone needs a good binge for their souls, Dark on Netflix will kick you right in the nuts for two seasons... oh ya and jojo rabbit looks pretty good too!
The Xmoda meaning that it’s very intense! Just like how it would be if you got kicked on the nuts. Just a figure of speech haha. I’m trying to be funny.
Hey John, great list of pick ups. Since the world is closed, I think it would be awesome if you made a list of "Movies everyone should see" maybe not so well known or just a must watch. They may not be physical media, but what can you do. Your awesome man.
Loved Uncut Gems. I'm still on the fence on if I should buy it or not because it's so intense and requires me to take a long break before watching, but I love the cover and really want it on my shelf
Yeah.. also most of my videogames are on disc. Thing is.. when you buy it on disc you also get a case with a cover.. and some have some beautifuI artwork that you can display it on a shelf. With digitaI wtf do I display on my sheIf ?
I'm very surprised that my DVD lots aren't selling on eBay. I thought that now is the time to get rid of inventory that I upgraded to Blu Ray versions of long ago. Yeah, DVD's are mostly obsolete, but as you are saying I thought that *all* physical media would be worth more during this time.
My boy Johnny Flicks, this episode, was... don’t be scared now‼️ It’s always good to see you add to you library of hard media. I feel the same way, then I look at my hard media after months of watching OD, or Streaming Service fair and wonder, do I really need to spend that much money on physical media. Then I go to Target and say yes. Costco has stopped carrying physical medial all together in the 408‼️‼️🥺🥺🥺 Anyways, Much L♥️VE to you My Boy Johnny Flicks, the Lovely Lady Amber, your Furr mound and the Whole of Team Johnny Flicks‼️‼️‼️♥️♥️♥️✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼🎥🎥🎥🥇🥇🥇🥓🥓🥓🎞🎞🎞🎟🎟🎟🥃🥃🥃

Hey John, I am a super-huge fan of your videos. Nobody does movie reviews like you do! (don’t tell Chris I said that, lol). I just had a quick question, if I were to do a review and use footage from a movie in my video, how would I get past any copyright issues? Thank you John!
I have a huge movie collection, but I think I'm not going to be able to watch them that much in the next weeks, because I became a father yesterday. I am however able to watch John from TH-cam when my girfriend and our daughter sleep in the hospital bed. Physical media is the way to go.

"Physical media is a necessity in the apocalyptic wastelands." This line sums up my feelings entirely.
Physical Media for the Win!
There’s no other person I would want to be lord humongous than John Flickinger
Stay inside, don't get scared now! Watch movies because they are little bit magical and mystical!
Wash your hands and sniff your tap water guys.
The 4K for Parasite comes out on June 4th 👍🏻
it will come at criterion's collection too
Good movie but they are screwing us over with all these multiple releases months after the original home video release
@@ilikeemerica9619 yeah I know what you mean. Not sure if I should buy Uncut Gems now or wait.
Crunch Buttsteak I just bought it because there aren’t many A24 titles on 4k and seeing how good time didn’t get one i doubt uncut gems will get one anytime soon.
@@ilikeemerica9619 Yeah I was thinking the same thing, probably gonna pick it up tomorrow or Tues

Love you doing these videos again, talking about recent pickups!
Physical Media sales are very high this year most they been in years it seems. Streaming is obviously kicking ass but Arrow Criterion Scream Factory are doing very well
Omg I also love the smell of blu ray cases. First thing I do when I open a new movie.
Nice. I just added Titans season 1 on Blu-Ray, Krypton season 1 on Blu-Ray, and Superman Red Son on Blu-Ray to my collection
LONG LIVE PHYSICAL MEDIA! Michael - South Africa
I still collect physical media and I'm glad. Was without streaming for almost two weeks and had my VCR and PS3 set up. Watched a lot of VHS. I still use streaming but I prefer to have a physical copy.
Just sniffed my tap water. I have found my purpose in life. From now on I will be sniffing every faucet I can get my hands on.

Why not both...
I love buying physical media and I have a lot of physical movies at my house that I can rely on
I love my physical discs!!!
Getting 4k's and blurays for free. Lucky bastard! Stay healthy John!

There's still movies at my wal mart. But they barricade the entertainment area. And the clothes except the grocery side.

I live in Louisville and we have the cleanest tap water in the country . After years of drinking it I prefer it to filtered water
Physical media will ALWAYS be my choice because picture and sound will always be stable unlike streaming which can vary based on wifi.

What kind of tv do u own ?
Knives out: shows u the ending at the start of Act2
John: I figured out the ending by the end of Act 2
It shows you half of it, not who or why.
