Can’t begin to count the number of times I’ve listened to this PMG classic by not only the master(s)-PM & LM-themselves, but covers that run the gamut from drum corps to orchestral. While some may have preferred a screamer horn, the trumpet and vocal arrangement is gorgeous: a perfect compliment. And the energy of the group is amazing. Lyle Mays smiles somewhere in the cosmo.

Too many imitations out there serving as distractions in wishing that Pat Metheny had exclusive rights to only have his music aired on TH-cam!!! Sadly prior to and because Social Media slaughtered our old school vinyl and DVD’s and C.D.’s. - which a plethora of artists have likewise through the past 20 years frowned upon for having taken away from their hard earned well-deserved forms of generating income along those traditionally greater respected lines, got blatantly screwed over by all the tech heads. Who facilitate for anyone out there to post their music videos. Thank you Pat for what sets you hugely uniquely apart, from those early years and featured guest artists and core group of musicians who comprised your band’s makeup! I miss promoting you as a former Jazz Buyer for Tower Records in the 80’s out here in Sherman Oaks, Cali! And music in the 70’s!
