I love this video! I think it really shows America's true colors. After the revolution, it was obviously hard for America to move on, but instead of pouting about it for the rest of his life (like England), America faced a full self realization and was able to cope with life and live it out to its fullest. Although he has his blonde moments at times (no offense; i'm a blonde as well), America is actually very insightful about life. And for someone that young, it's amazing.
Oh God he's so hot. I must take a moment to appreciate and realize how badass my country actually is. In our short history we became one of the most powerful countries in the history of all time. We were the first democracy, the first country to ever successfully break away from the British Empire, the country that shook the world, the country that's responsible for most of the technological advancements used today...and so much more. I am forever proud to be an American.

You can't say it really gets better. It's kinda just one of those "It depends" situations. I personally really like the show. It's mostly just random, but there are some really touching scenes. (American Revolutionary War, Some stuff about Chibitalia. Some Pruhun moments, even if the couple isn't shipped.)
WOW. i have watched so many videos for america from hetalia but this is by far the best! I think it really shows a more sad and serious side of america instead of his goofy and food loving side. I wish they would have him more serious in the anime instead of goofy around all the time. but i still love him!

1:51 looks like America crying because his brother Canada was just hurt from the tear gas France used on him in a war and then America ran to him crying after he found out and gave him his spare glasses to see better when Canada said I can not see you Alfred where are you :( so sad. The backstory behind why Canada wears glasses is because he fought in wars no one remembers and was fighting France then got permanent eye damage from the tear gas France used on the poor Canada. Can't believe France did that to his own son. Also lets talk about how America grew to love his brother more and more as they got older which is such a sweet turn of events from when he was little and never even looked at him once :)

The two were almost the same weight, but the weight of his colonies was just a tad bit heavier. Meaning even though he valued England very much, he valued his colonies just a bit more, and that's what started the revolution. (Which is pretty much historically accurate, considering at the beginning, only like 30% of the colonists actually wanted independence from Britain. MOST COLONISTS WERE JUST ANNOYED WITH BRITAIN, BUT THEY NEVER WANTED TO FULLY RID THEMSELVES FROM BRITAIN. And if that's how the colonists felt, that's how America felt. Because the colonists ARE America. It was mostly Thomas Paine's _Common Sense_ pamphlet that convinced so many colonists that war against Britain was necessary. The Boston massacre too I guess... But like.... That event was caused by the colonists being jerks to the British soldiers. Things got outta hand, and everyone painted it out as "Britain is friggin evil lets go to war! Aaaah", so yeah. Eventually the revolution was more of a fight for a new form of government, it became more Democracy VS Autocracy, rather than a war for taxes and whatnot. Like I said, IF THAT'S WHAT HAPPENED TO THE COLONISTS, AND WHAT THE COLONISTS BELIEVED AT FELT, THEN *THAT'S WHAT HAPPENED TO APH AMERICA, WHAT APH AMERICA BELIEVED AND FELT ABOUT THW REVOLUTION* There are many more accurate connections from Hetalia to History I could make.... Hetalia is correct when they depicted Salutary Neglect, AKA Britain leaving America alone in the real world....
