Hey Barbara! Depending on the collection, you can get bigger lot sizes. These are also model homes, so they are intentionally built relatively close to one another.

I live in the UK but I just can get my head around the layout of the parental suite having the walk-in closet after the ensuite, I would have a fit and probably scream having to traipse through the bathroom everytime I want to change clothes especially as it's shared with your spouse so okay yeah i'm hypothetically used to seeing them nude but why not put the layout as main bedroom area, walk-through closet leading to the ensuite. But anyways probably just cultural thing a bit like how in Canada houses are big on basements opening to the back garden.
You should see the prices for a old broken down big time fixer upper in Colorado with absolutely no upgrades since 1983. We just sold our Parents home for half a million and absolutely nothing was fixed or upgraded in their home since 1983. Sold it to a house flipper. She will fix it up and sell it for over 800k, just because it's here in Colorado.

Where should I look in order to find 3,000+ sq ft, 2 story great room, 4 bedrooms, bonus space, great neighborhood, etc?
I love the amount of natural light that comes into the home especially in the master bathroom.
