A single Royal Revenge is also effective in taking out the doppleganger but it must connect to attack belonging to the dopple and be prepared to guard or trick for the next attack. Otherwise a few seconds shot of faust while double jumped in medium to close range will do the trick
The uncertainty of Royal Revenge countering the wrong target is too high amongst the chaos, hence it is not included in the recommendation. Faust causes red orbs, and requires Dante to stay still, so overall there aren't enough merits to recommend it in the premise of this beginner's guide. Even if jumped high up, Vergil's summoned swords could still hit Dante, and it can be hard to spot when there're two enemies at the same time. Gunslinger skill Magic Hat could let the hat float and attack separately, but the starting animation is too long and pins Dante down.
Past month I've been trying to no-hit DMD Vergil and Dante as Vergil, I appreciate the time spent to acquire and showcase this information so I can fight more strategically, much appreciated.
These have been pretty good videos. Im not exactly struggling against Vergil (I still havent reached mission 19 in DMD yet) but this is a pretty good look at the options you have for fighting M19 Vergil. I didn't know his JCs have a weird height limit lol
On lower difficulties the easier way out would be to save up your SDT to skip phase 3 entirely. Once he summons the doppleganger you enter SDT and just hold Luce, and the damage is usually enough to finish him off. But of course that is a shortcut without actually engaging with the fight, learning to deal with it without SDT and mastering the fight makes it much more enjoyable in the long run.
royal revenge takes out the divebomb(taking vergil out of divebomb also stops sdt nero's counter is easier as he can grab vergil out of it) but its a window v in bloody palace can use some specific techniques requiring charged bird or just summon nightmare at the right time.
If you have a SSS style rank you can use quad S SDT to bring Vergil out of the dive attack with sin stinger and since you have quad s you can leave SDT early
Yes Quad S can achieve a lot of things since almost every attack it does can knock out Vergil in normal state, the dive, and still does a lot of stun damage on SDT Vergil. The reason it is not included in this is that, I do not expect beginners to utilize Quad S consistently, same goes for Royal Guard against most attacks.
Does he has different moveset in every difficulty or the only thing that changes is health and damage? Sorry if its a dumb question, is my first game of the series
There are subtle behavior changes to boss actions/patterns in DMC5 (and most DMC games) based on difficulty. Focusing on the case of 5, to my knowledge most bosses have moves they only use on Sons of Sparda (SOS) difficulty or higher. Dante Must Die(DMD) does not add new moves compared to SOS, only altering damage and HP values, as well as giving enemies and bosses evil trigger mode, usually triggered in low health or being taunt more than 10 times. Down to Vergil specifically, he does not have an extra devil trigger mechanic since he has his SDT already. As to move changes, starting from SOS he has his quote on quote "full moveset" as shown in this video. And in case you wonder in the future, Hell and Hell mode has its enemy behaviors and values identical to Sons of Sparda, only difference being that you die in 1 hit, essentially being a forced no damage run of SOS.
When i was fighting him I learn you can kill him easily but that's not the way game shows you You need ti be stylish and thanks for giving some tips for being stylish
Surely but only if you can connect the hit fast enough. If the interval between the last attack and the bike is too long, Vergil reverts to normal state, which means attacking him will result in a parry. So if you want to use the bike just for guard breaking, try combining with summoned sword attacks from DSD.
@@zeronime284 I have used it a couple of times, it is capable of breaking guard if you let the multi hit property go all the way. However since it is inefficient in pretty much all other aspects against Vergil, the bike itself is not a recommended weapon in terms of usefulness.
I honestly just go into this fight when I get bored since I love fighting vergil. I actually used his boss fight to help me get down royal release timing. I can royal release most of his attacks but I still can end up dying because me stupid lol.
So you are right and those are really good ways to do it. But I just want to inform you that if you are really fast at teleporting, you can actually catch Vergil regardless just wait for his fourth jc out of dt them stinger Stay close, so your stinger can reach him really quickly. And he has no way to get away from you. As long as you get him good and quick But your is actually far better
I would guess that you are rushing for the kill and brute forcing, such as using SDT for the 3rd phase? Since SOS essentially has the same moveset/action pattern as DMD, and Vergil having SDT to begin with does not get an extra enemy devil trigger effect like other enemies, the increased health/damage would be the only changing factor. So if you're fine on SOS but not DMD, try slowing down on SOS and learn to defend yourself from phase 2/3's attacks, that would give you the leeway on DMD's longer fight.
A guide is for those that are motivated to seek answers. If it puts you to sleep it means you already know what to do, close it and go have fun fighting Vergil👌

@@bgdgaming92 can Man in the Red help kill the dopple?
@@zeronime284 Just like Magic Hat, you need to stay still to activate man in red, as such I do not think it is a good enough recommendation.

Perfect timing on JCE using Demolition is something idk I NEED to do, thank you for a very helpful video

Can you break vergil's guard using cavaliere?
Balrog three kicks is sure more than enough to breakthrough w/o DT
