I spent a good bit of time in nature, alone, with no signal and no smart device, just an old phone with some music on it. I tried to distract myself by making voice recordings of my thoughts, but even that couldn't fill all the space. It was both the most difficult and most rewarding and most life changing experience of my life. It's like the turning period in my whole life.

I did this silence from media challenge when I did the artist way by julia camerion, and I was amazed what i could discover within myself, the songs i had in me, the music and story ideas, i think society is sick because of all the noise

: To find your silence, first your body must be in a constant space ( your room / a forest / mountain top ), with no other human as well.
You could try, but it'll be a challenge, esp. for the ones who live in crowded cities...
The suitable and the best environment would be a location with more green, than man made structures...
Once the environment is set, then the play is between you and the voice in your head...
How to know that you've found your silence?....
    - Your vibe will not be influenced by what's happening outside you.

For me I would day yes. Because the media is a different universe which means is an unhealthy world to be in. I think the world would be in a much better place without it and all humans will interact with one another. Music in my opinion can help someone in any situations of emotions. This is why we are glued into distractions and not be in nature.

Who's distracted from the fact that we live like gods compared to man 500 years back and further. There's no dystopia and a utopia is only the ideal.
There is no escape from suffering in this realm. No matter how perfect like life becomes they'll still be arguments and contention.
I see this person takes a shot at music. Genuine music is a touch of the Divine, explicates grace, melody, harmony, beauty, the very Good itself. Loving music isn't cleaving to the speakers or the external...it's acknowledging the Divine and seeking that: the source of harmony, good, beauty, essence.
All these modern 'non dualists' today are distasteful.

It ALL needs to be washed away. Anything less is a Matrix manipulation to keep it all going.

How could anyone get distracted in that room? Where's the art? Where's the color? That room makes me sad. I adore your face. You remind me of an animal I can't put my finger on. My rule of thumb with the internet is use it only at home. Podcasts aside. I love my computer at home. It's my TV and stereo. At the airport, it seems like I'm the only one who reads a physical book. I'd just be happy if more people read or listened to books in any format.

Her face is reminiscent of a cute panda bear or khola. Her room is very grounded, sterile, and uncultured. I think it allows her to disconnect from this world to really escape into her thoughts without too much outside influences. I dig her vibe though shes definitely outside the matrix.

@@vancevyth5569 I can see the koala bear, but her eyes are too big. I want to make a chlamydia joke, but I won't. Who's to say that boring room is hers? If it is, her room makes me depressed. If I do minimalism, it will have to be a samurai style or Taoist monk. I'm talking a rice paper house with a garden or a cave. But this room here is horrible. All this talk of not looking at your stupid phone. If you didn't stare at a screen so much, you might be like "damn I need some art around here. Maybe a bookshelf." Get a cool skull to put on said bookshelf. Along with some books to read. Maybe some cool rocks. Again... color! Where's the colors? Nobody is outside the matrix. That's just life. I do like critical and independent thought, but there is no excuse for a boring room.

@@Trav_Can well I can see your point of view on a few matters... In regards to her room It doesn't seem like she cares much about decorations or worldly ornaments, but maybe one day she can surprise us and make a video painting something and then adding it into her room. She could talk about how this process makes her feel and the greater philosophy behind it.

@@vancevyth5569 An old ex of mine was similar. She was brilliant, had great esthetics, but her place was barren and naked. I would always give her a hard time about it. She's come a long way now. You realize that it's absurd we're talking about the bedroom of a girl we don't even know personally.
