4:05 "He has a nice voice" - Oh Granny, you have now Idea what this handsome man was capable of. Chester was one of the best Metal vocalists because he was able to go from Singing stuff like the chorus in ITE to shouting like in Runaway for example fluidly.

No, the real cry song is One More Light. They made that video into a RIP Chester Tribute. And so appropriate for it, it would be a tear factory even if it wasn't for the circumstances.
The live versions of One More Light are incredibly moving.

i remember after Chester's passing, this would come on at the gym and i'd get internally emotional while working out. I'm only a casual Linkin Park fan but his death was so unexpected, it hit me too

hope y’all consider doing more from Linkin Park. there’s a lot of different sounds that they’ve used, but the style they’re most known for is the unique blend of hip-hop and alt rock.
“Linkin Park - Faint” is a fantastic example of that aesthetic and the song “Breaking The Habit” is a more melodic mellower must listen!

A really cool and very under rated song of there’s is The little Things Give You Away. It is a good example of them using different sounds.

Thing is most of LP tracks were truely about Chesters issues and strains, but it seemed that nobody ever made the connection. Most of the lyrics to quite a few tracks are almost screams for help.
Just like yourself, i find it hard to listen to One More Light, it's such a beautiful track, the lyrics hit hard and the mood it sets is a deep one.

Linkin Park was a band that meant a lot to me when I was younger. This album got me through highschool. I had lost my little brother and the amount of pain and anger in these songs really helped me cope with my own feelings, and made me feel less alone. Chester will always be one of my favourite vocalists.

At first I wasn’t sure I could watch this I found you both through your Disturbed Sound of Silence video... I’ve known Chester since he was 20 and was devastated when he died, sometimes I can listen to his music and be ok and sometimes I just can’t at all but I really appreciate your comments and your review he would’ve enjoyed this. He wasn’t just a great singer or rocker he was a good friend, businessman (he was part owner of a tattoo shop here in AZ with his best friend where I got my tats & his BFF did my piercings), funny, quiet at times, extremely smart, goofy, we rolled driving low rider cars in car clubs like the movie fast and furious, those were some good times and I am proud and grateful to have known him. I really appreciate you both thank you! ❤️

Good morning Grannies. I see this video was finally put back. Now this is a song that I will always love because I have some beautiful memories with it. First off, the rapping part of the song was so easy for me to learn. ( I'm not all that into rap.) But this one I can do. Second, my only son, born last but now 24 years old and I would always sing along with it, Me doing the rap and him doing the singing part. Those were some of the happiest times of my life. The very first rap I was able to learn and singing with my son.

I'm glad I got to see them in 2014 in Florida. They were on tour with Thirty Seconds to Mars. One of the best concerts I've ever been to.

I had a tattoo shop in Sedona AZ back in the day 2010 to 2013 when Chester rolled in my front door one day that I will never going to forget. I saw see him around town often as well as he had a secondary house in Sedona. He was a co owner in Club tattoo in Phoenix. Truth!

Finally...my favorite band of all time - LP! Thank you, TRGs! LP is a combo of Mike on rap verses and Chester singing/screaming. Chester has been called the best screamer of all rock bands (and I agree although you don't hear it in this particular song). In case no one else mentioned it below, Chester also struggled with depression for years and took his own life back in 2017. :( A TREMENDOUS loss to the music community and the world. I still have their first CD, Hybrid Theory, in my CD player in my car (and that was released 20 years ago)!

Oh this band.... the first 2 albums were really good. So good in fact that Chester ended up having to sacrifice the OMPH of his voice and having to have surgery. It was all or nothing for him back then. Regardless.. Chester Bennington. This tall (shows below nose height), this thin (shows pinky finger), with his voice alone he grabbed by the balls the whole world. Even those that made fun of him of the screams and shouts... at the end of a show were just standing in awe and almost being scared and worried about him at the same time. It was beyond tears and respect... and he could sing so well even at a 110% and at the end of the show when you thought he would be left with no voice... only then he actually warmed up.

Glad you got to listen to them, Linkin Park and Evanesence have been my top 2 'current' bands for years. Chester was my voice when I couldn't get find my own words during the hardest part of my life, and his loss is one of the greatest tragedies of modern music.

I still want to cry every time something with Chester comes on TH-cam. I have been a fan since they came to scene in 2001. Linkin park posters in my room and even naming my fish after Chester in high school. The band means so much to everyone who loves them!

I can understand why she didn't expect this from Linkin Park. LP is one of the most dynamic bands imo, so one song can sound very different from the next. So many bands I can listen to all their music back to back and feel like I heard just one really long song. Not LP. They had such a wide range. They even covered Rolling in the Deep in concert and nailed it.

People go in with preconceived notion on what they have heard from other people. Pretty basic concept here.
