Sypnosis:
UAC 0022, 2 years after the National Dismantlement war, the world is still struggling to rebuild itself. Professor Jarnefeldt's untimely death pushes the colony Anatolia to state of uncertainty. Fiona Jarnefeldt, his only daughter, saves a man who could very well be the key to her colony's survival.We follow a story of individuals looking for a place in this new world

Production time: 288 hours(roughly 3 weeks)
Frames: 24fps Final render, 12-15fps for the raw stop motion clips
Figures used: Robot Damashii, MSIA
Casualties: 1x hand part for the GNX, 2x skirts for GNX, and Backpack of Banshee
Total costs: $195 estimate
Production notes: apologies for the amateurish graphics! It's still barely a month since I started using after effects. Nevertheless, I poured everything I've learned to this video thus far. I went for a more video game cutscene look as I think it suits my style well. As for the characters, I dont think they're quite ready for animation yet, so I'm just going to use silhouettes to represent them for now.

Look for a scene from a show that absolutely love, then watch it on repeat a milloon times. Then try imitating it to the as best as you can.
You can also copy the movements frame by frame :)

Wow! I know I was a bit critical of the voice lines last time, but this time they feel perfectly matched. Good transitions and camera angles, and excellent animations! Love the detailed turn with the maneuvering thruster by GN-X at 4:00. The depth of field for the rifle blurring is also quite intriguing.
I do prefer the older beam saber effect, the newer one feels too "flairy" @ 5:50
And like what Akizumi mentioned, the mobile suits sometimes felt floaty as if disregarding physics.
This feels like an excellent world building, and I greatly look forward to what else you have in store! And it doesn't feel like you've only been using AE for only a month (I would still be figuring out how to turn it on at that point). What made you want to have the Banshee as the protagonist unit?
I've been learning how to use AE for literally 90% of my time for the past month. Have no work, no Kendo practices nor money to buy a new game lol, so you could say I squeezed what would be 6 months of learning into a month because of all the free time :)
Banshee will be the main unit but he won't be using it all the time. True to the AC theme(and being originally a test pilot for his home colony), he will be switching different MS throughout the story. But Banshee will ultimately be his go-to unit of choice.
As for the beam saber effect, I actually agree with you, which is why I simplified it on the next clip, particularly the one where he's cutting the gnx and the ship. The actual Beam effect part that came with the figure is too fat and not reflective enough to the laser for the camera I'm using. I'll go with a thinner saber design similar to Turn A's but a little bit thicker :D

I just realized this but your take on a NEXT has scan mode and NEXTs already have Radar. It would be a nice niche in 4 an for answer
MS's, at least in Gundam UC, has this kind of function in addition to a radar. You can see Ridhe use scan mode on episode 2 at about 19:40 mark :)

The cannon is from the MSIA gundam ground type. I had a lot of them so I figures I might as well customize one to fit the banshee or Unicorn

Correct, that's the same pilot! The difference was that he was piloting a Normal, not a Next
