- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 21 ก.ค. 2023
- Ive wanted to make a samurai sword for so long and when i got this big slab of carbon fibre i knew it was finally time to build a Wakizashi.
I tried a bit of narration in this so let me know if you prefer that style of video to my silent ones.

#diesineveryfilm #wakizashi #sword - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต
Weighing in at 441 grams this sword is lighter than a lot of my knives, what do you think to it and the narration?
I enjoyed the build, but was unable to hear / understand most of the narration.
Great work, would love to have seen it laminated with a super thin steel core….keep up the great work!!!
I know narration is a divisive topic, but I liked it. 👍
Loved both the build and narration. Others said they had problems hearing you; not so with me. You were very clear. Really like your narration, as it definitely adds to each video.
I think it would be fine to keep the narration, but if you do I would recommend either recording it separate in a room with better audio properties or purchasing a lapel mic that would be able to capture your voice better. It was pretty hard to hear in a lot of places and pretty hard to understand. But I did enjoy it because it let me understand your thought process a bit more.
Great build, but mate, you needs to talk louder. I can barely hear you on a few of those shots!
Also, when you turn up the sound to hear what he says - the next scene will hit your ears like a ton of bricks. After the bandsaw, at 0:49, I killed the sound completely. His gestures told me what I needed to know.
Yep, I think the sound is a little overdone.
Yeah or put the microphone closer
Agreed. Loved the video but the sound was off a bit. Also made me laugh tons!
Yep.He needs to reap load the video with the sound unscrewed. I ain’t watching it as is.
Awesome! Worked in a papermill and they use 1/16" carbon fiber scraper blades as a wiper on the rolls of the machine. After a couple of hundred hours they were honed like a razor. Still have the scars. Cut up, with a tape handle they make a non-magnetic blade. Thank you for showing us this project, Onur. Stay safe and stay cool
Ahh I didn’t know that mate, this is industrial carbon fiber so probably same stuff and really tough as well
Once again, another epic build. Thank you for what you do!!
Thanks so much for watching i really appreciate it
Sweet build. Lmao I walk out of room during end of video for a lemon cucumber and my 6 year old boy says " dad did you see that he put the sword between his legs and did this" he did a humping motion. I had to rewind and see for myself haha.
“Carbon fiber particles are dangerous to your lungs.”
**f$&@ing belt sands the entire blade shape from flat bar**
Well, time to give my shop vac lung cancer.
Got to be safe
I'll be honest, I wasn't sure if that material was going to be a successful build medium for this. It's rare that I'm.glad to be wrong, but this is definitely one of those times. Absolutely a thing of deadly beauty. I know, I should never doubt you. Lol. Perfect way to start my Saturday, your latest build and a good cup of coffee. Thank you!
I was exactly the same when I started it tho haha it’s just a strange medium to use but really glad it worked out as well as it did
This thing looks like the endboss' haunted side arm in a beautifully animated steam punk fantasy game. I didn't half expect it to come out this beautifully. In my opinion, the handle would have deserved a piece of bone for decoration.
Thank you very much and if you like this you will certainly like something else I have coming pretty soon.
I think that is one of your best builds so far mate.
So glad to hear that mate thank you very much
Another amazing build. Work of art that functions. Keep up the awesome work! 🤘🏻
Thank you very much mate
😂 Pretty cool I kinda like to see how it fares against a steel one 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you, hopefully if my sword and knife builds get better views i can actually make a steel one
I'm loving the to-camera pieces. Keep keeping it real!
Cheers I enjoy trying new stuff out and hopefully it will make videos more exciting to watch
Love the build, have often wondered what sort of blade carbon fiber would make, and love the talkie video as well, brings it all together much better
Yeh worked out nice for sure, ill try do more talking ones in future even if it’s just adding in the od explanation parts
Absolutely love the fact that your accent is as violent as the weaponry! Keep up the good work, love the vids and enjoy them more with your commentary. Rad.
Thanks so much i really appreciate it dude and so many more fun builds to come
Dude. 🤣🤣🤣
You have SOLID fabrication skills, but I think your sense of humor is better than your fab!!!
That’s no insult, you had me rollin’ so freaking loud and suddenly that I was crying after you started to give the fruit “the shocker”
Pleasantly surprised.
Awesome build. Seriously, you inspired me to do one of my own. Thanks for taking the time bro.
I will go to Australia one day. You have the cars, the weather, the sailing, football, and the women there are freaking incredible. Australia is what the US used to be 20 years ago.
Thanks man
Thank you so much i really do appreciate it
Damn that looks beautiful , well done mate
Thank you very much for watching
Thanks for the video. I'd be worried about impact resistance, but as a beautiful piece, it's a huge success.
Thanks very much
Great build i wish i couldve watch this sooner than later, been very busy last couple of days aint had much time to do anything, but one thing is for certain i will always make time to watch you're videos, also was very funny as always no matter how bad my day is i can get a laugh out of these videos, be looking for the next one have a good one and many blessings to you and yours
No rush at all man i really do appreciate you watching it all helps me out so much and got some fun builds to come
Almost metal free . Sweet update for todays ninja on the go . Could defeat detector at security check point. Pretty badass.
Thanks very much for watching
Another amazing build. 👍👍 Keep up the awesome work 👍👍
Thanks a bunch! I appreciate it
That came out great. Nice work
Cheers dude
Gorgeous blade.
Thank you
Fantastic Video, great idea you're amazing!
Thank you very much!
Nice! That black from the carbon fiber looks stunning 👌
Thank you very much
Another great build, man.
Thank you very much
Absolutely awesome looks so cool great build👍👍
Glad you like it mate
Your usual subtle brilliance, Onur.
I appreciate it man, thank you
ich finde es echt gut,das du in dem video erklärst was du du machst.es ist mal wieder super, wie immer =)
Thank you very much i really appreciate it
Love your videos, any chance you can level the audio so that when I have it loud enough to hear you speak that the machine noise doesn't jump scare me every time? 😂
Hahahahaha i actually levelled it as best I could, trouble is im using theshotgun mic for it all as there’s only one input but if it’s popular i can fix this in future videos
I don't know why you would want to wack Kakashi, but the sword looks amazing.
Thanks very much
Thank you for sharing this brov! One love to all!
My pleasure! Thank you
Yowza. Such an involved build even with all those power-tools... just imagine how long it took them nice little Choinese fellas to do everything by hand to make one of them.
I like the modern way better.
Crazy to think about it that way isn’t it, thank you
I'm changing my mind, you'd need a carbon fiber strip in the middle... Then cover it with small-weave carbon fiber glue fiber glue fiber and that would make sense 😊
You really have enlightened me with this build.
Beautiful build. Expensive but beatiful. I always bought from our anything knife store called Jantz supply. I sure miss making
Thank you very much
I really hope a production studio of some description finds you some day, you could fill warehouses with movie props!
I really would love that mate and hopefully one day
Love your melon technique. Don't ever change!
Thanks very much
Super cool.
Cheers dude
Love it 😂
Thank you
Thats the first time I've seen a wakizashi bokken, let alone one sharp enough to do damage, I saw someone on the shadiversity channel do something similar, but with a tempered steel edge.
I'd love to see your take on such a creation, but with the edge sandwiched between carbon fibre layers rather than the edge glued and screwed to it
Thanks for watching, yes I’ve seen that before which i may try in the future
That’s really beautiful I wish I had your skills
Very nice Katana, you're too good, I love everything you do. Bravo. 👍🏼💣
Thank you very much! I really love building fun stuff like this and the stuff i made for you it’s always great doing something different
Hahahahaha thank you, it was long and slow process but worth it in the end
Pretty cool
Thank you
Beautiful Sword
Thanks very much
dude, you're creative!
Thanks i have more ideas coming
Like the narration!
I’ll hopefully do more in future
This was the good kind of heresy. I was expecting the threaded rod to also go inside the blade though 😅
It did go into the carbon fibre enough but too much it would have come out when grinding it
@@DiesInEveryFilm and Shadiversity proved that carbon fiber blades are more durable than people think.
Love the build wish I could add it to my collection
Unfortunately it sold pretty fast but i do have another katana style build coming soon
If you were in the US, I would buy you adult beverages ! Another awesome piece !👍
I really appreciate that mate, thank you
Awesome build as always bruv, I've never seen a full carbon blade. How does it handle, and cut, compared to a steel one?
Also, stroke game is strong as always I see
Cheers mate, it’s really light in comparison and I didn’t sharpen it properly so isn’t really as good as a proper steel one but I didn’t really build it for that i just built it to try something out.
Digging the narrative m8! Keep it up…
Thanks ill be trying it more often
I'd love to see you do this, but making it thinner, as geometry is crucial in cutting ability. Maybe layers of peel ply CF? IDK
Was completely astonished that the carbon fiber would hold an edge for as long as it did. However, another brilliant video. Appreciate the extra time and effort you put into the details. Truly makes all the difference. Making changes with Google account. I don't trust them.
Video was epic and blade was a solid 10 out of 10. Cheers mate 🍻. Wishing you all the best to you and your family 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Yeh this turned out way better than I thought and im glad i went that bit extra for it.
Looks spot on as always dude, wicked concept too. Was the carbon fibre hard on the belts?
Cheers mate, came out better than i thought tbh.
Nah wasn’t bad at all but i use the ceramics which blast through hardened steel no problem
Excelente trabajo una espada de fibra de carbono jamás vi nada igual me gustó el resultado final me gustaría ver más espadas como las de intho the badlans en especial de silver moon es una obra de arte
Cheers mate ill definitely be thinking up more ideas like this
Gracias amigo
Great video. Amazing end result. I would love to have it.
Thanks very much, it’s actually available on my website linked in description
I'd love to see you do something similar but with a huge two handed style sword
Well im a newer subscriber and me and my wife love your vids. Keep up the amazing work much love from Texas. Maybe a wireless mike clipped to your shirt would help people hear ya.
Welcome aboard! I have adjusted audio now and fixed the issue i had on this video as i was new to talking here. Thanks for watching
Epic! Deadpool would be proud.
Oh for sure
you could sandwich a thin piece of steel between two carbon fibre blocks so it can actually keep a decent edge
It would cut decent but I haven’t sharpened it, this is aero grade carbon fibre which has been use as blades as well in some applications, i just didn’t want it sharp because it’s illegal in my country with it not being steel it can be hidden
@@DiesInEveryFilm Yeah okay, you got a point there, I watched a man make a sharp knife from milk.
But still steel has higher hardness, abrasion resistance and ultimately ability to keep an edge. Plus if you put steel it, it would no longer be illegal.
But it would be technically useless anyway. It's probably hard to keep the steel sandwich from delaminating. Steel expands like 3-10x more than carbon fibre composite. Might need to like weld a tiny bit of edge steel to a steel mesh and then sandwich that, or make your own carbon fibre composite with steel filler, so the sword doesn't destroy itself when heating up. lmao
@@Embassy_of_Jupiter it’s just something I wanted to try, so many have done it with steel there’s even production variations but I wanted this carbon fibre
@@DiesInEveryFilm makes sense, you do you
Your skill with tools is surpassed only by your humor😂
I really do appreciate that man
Your face with that water bottle bwahahaha 🤣😂🤣😂
Hahahahaha it let me down
Dang, "carbon fiber wakizashi" sounds like a Cyberpunk weapon. You did a lovely job, though! The whole item looks classy.
The narration is a nice touch. I'm always fond of stuff like director commentary on DVDs and so on (I've been guilty of buying a movie solely on that criteria, before... more than once, LOL), so it's a hit for me. The contrast of the quiet narration to the loud machine noises was a bit jarring, though.
Cheers dude and narration is definitely something id love to do more of, maybe even add it in over the top so its a lot clearer as well
love the narration, however I often could barely hear you so you might want to get a better mic or add the narration on top of the video afterwards (separate recording) instead of while you're working.
It’s the best mic you can buy, the audio is fine you need to turn it up as it will obviously be quieter talking than machine noises which was difficult to level when editing when im trying to keep it all audible.
Yes over narration is what id like to do eventually but just testing the waters at moment
Samurai 😎
Yes man
Awesome, any idea how much it weights?
Yes I forgot to add it in the video but i put a pinned comment, it weighs 441grams
Sure looks good. Would not trust my life on it, but I would trust my life on your skills. stay safe.
Cheers man, it’s just a bit of fun not really a go into battle thing
It's not just dangerous when you're working with it, but you want a REALLY good ventilation system as the fibers are almost weightless and can float in the air for long periods of time and can get into your body later down the line. I work with CF in laser sintering. You also want to wear lots of clothing and keep exposed skin to a minimum as it'll make you itch like nothing you've experienced before.
When i say dangerous to work with I mean to do anything with like it’s not dangerous to you if you don’t have any and aren’t going to use any.
Yes I know how bad it is that’s why i gave a brief warning
The ending 😂
You should coated venoms in your blade, I was able to do it with my pocket knife or you just make twisted dagger / rope dart instead of string use razor wire
Coated venoms?
Rite Dies Dude, Always pegged you as a wood licker! Crazy MoFo... TFS, GB :)
It’s a must do thing, thanks
Hello mister you are very professional at your job and very funny well done
Thank you very much
Alright mate. Great videos. Very funny also. Quick question. Did you use to be a boxer or a fighter?
Thank you and yes ive fought in boxing, thai, mma and other forms i did it for around 8 years
Great Build deadpool
Thank you
Stockton Rush: hold my gamepad
Hahahahaha
Beautifull handle
Thanks it was fun to do
I wonder if you could plane carbon fiber in a wood planer or a jointer?
The volume was all over the place, not like usual. I could barely hear you and some of the tools were ear-shatteringly loud.
I think it would destroy the blades tbh.
Yeh the sound was levelled which obviously means tools are louder than voice its just how it is especially when im using a shotgun mic to record everything but i didn’t have issues when i rewatched it at all tbh.
Thanks for the amazing build Onur, never ever considered a carbon fiber blade but it works. I think you were getting a bit too much pleasure from that yellow melon 😂 as ever greetings from Kilkenny,R.O.I 🇮🇪
Cheers man i really did get a lot out of this build and yeh too much fun haha
Beauty
Thank you
🔄@@DiesInEveryFilm
You seemed to have trouble drilling into the carbon fiber. Was that because you were being extra careful, or was it actually harder to drill through than you thought?
It wasn’t any trouble just taking it slow as it gets warm as does steel but with carbon fibre im cautious of damaging the resin that bonds it they don’t like too much heat. Thank you
Ottimo Lavoro Amico Mio 💪💪💪🫶
Thank you buddy
@@DiesInEveryFilm 💪💪💪😸
Epic build, water bottle fought back lol
Cheers mate, haha yeh it got me for sure
Ah, a plastic. Err, max-carbon steel free -long knifey thing. Nice. Had to clean my ears afterwards, the volume of you speaking was nearly whispering, while machines were set to "Annoy my neighbour". Was too lazy to adjust the sound, so neighbours have to deal with it. And they also have to deal with: I now know how do make a sword. They won't complain twice I recon.
Hahahahaha cheers mate, i did my best adjusting sound but talking will always be a lot quieter than the machines unfortunately
Savage
I'm from the UK and these builds are shit hot 🔥🔥
Cheers dude i appreciate it and good to have a fellow britian here
*whispers into microphone*
*STARTS SAW!*
my ears dude, wow!
Yup i made a bad decision here on the sound it seems, my thinking was shop sounds are naturally louder and when I watched it it seemed natural but not for everyone i guess.
Ill be trying different in future
What kind of watch is that?
awesome performance! but wooden handle isnt so great near such hitech material as carbon fiber, cold be betterr something like allutex or gimascus
Wood is tougher than you think
炭素で脇差作るのは初めて見た〜!
That’s what i wanted, thanks
I also taste the wood that was validating
Fantastica incisione a laser
Came out so much better adding that im definitely glad i tried it
mad man but he is so good at crafting
I appreciate it
I absolutely love your work, and the cuts of you being overtly sexual towards your art is fantastic lol. A true master of both swordmaking and funnyman.
Thanks very much for watching
Build looked great! I’m still surprised you wet for the rat tail tang but it’s not meant for cutting anything incredibly hard so not essential for a full tang I suppose. 😅 regardless keep up the great builds I like seeing unique builds like this!
I love the talky bits but it needs some more volume bro! I turned it up to be able to hear you speak and next thing I know RREEEERREEERRRRRER!! The saw is wrecking my ears into oblivion. Great Cyber-blade though, it's lighter than the can of Pringles I demolished while watching.
Thanks it’s something im working on
ahhh the melon didnt squirted!
Oh yesss
I must confess that this type of build is rather ingenious! Unfortunately, the vocals were sub-par! I could barely hear you even when I turned the volume up to max!!😭
Im new to talking in videos but it’s definitely audible i checked it over myself, only issue is the machine parts are too loud
Your audio levels are a little messed up. I can bearly hear your talking but the grinding is perfectly audable.
It’s the best mic you can buy, the audio is fine you need to turn it up as it will obviously be quieter talking than machine noises
The melon did not consent…
It did I have it in writing
That water bottle had a score to settle with you
It was the last of 14 i had so it’s seen lots of its brothers go
