    An alarm can never be too loud, but more effective prevention comes from good sensors guarding the outer most perimeter (doors and windows/skylights) with Break glass and shock detection on their own alarm zones. I'd include a GSM digital auto-communicator, so you and/or the police can be notified of any potential perimeter intrusions, especially in remote locations. PS. 360 degree ceiling mounted Microwave and Doppler based detectors prove allot more accurate and less prone to false alarms in typically hotter environments than traditional PIR sensors.

    • @nics-systems-electric
      @nics-systems-electric  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The motion sensor is one of those 360 ones glass brake sensors and shock detectors kinda are something that I don’t trust for false alarms I do get notified if the system goes off but it does not call anyone else as that would also be issues with false alarms

      @@nics-systems-electric Sensing technology has progressed a long way in recent times, better self diagnostics almost eliminates false alarms in the modern sensors I frequently install in commercial locations across Britain.

    Loving the security system! I have a question for you. Is it okay to mount vibrating horns and bells on the same wall area or demo board as a fire alarm control panel? I've seen other people do that and I am doing that as well. Will the vibration from mechanical horns or bells damage the panel or any other electronic devices on the system? Because I've heard that vibration is bad for electronics and fire alarm control panels. Thanks for your help!

    • @nics-systems-electric
      @nics-systems-electric  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would think a fire alarm panel should be able to handle vibrations as they are often mounted in electrical rooms where transformers will constantly vibrate the walls i’d say it would probably be fine

    Hi! My house has a dsc system what can power 3 sirens perfectly fine on 1 bell circuit. it’s not a neo it’s some power series. It might because my area uses outdoor sirens and I’m in Europe so it might be different but still I don’t get why you would get a relay but cool video nonetheless. Your videos are great. Keep up the good work

    • @nics-systems-electric
      @nics-systems-electric  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had to get a relay because the security panel does not put enough power out to power both sirens so I have to power the separate siren off its own power supply and the relay is just triggering it to come on otherwise it would always be on

  • @johnuhlig323

    I wanted to let you know that many Fire Alarm Systems such as the Fire lite that you have installed. You would use a RED color Strobe and this would be a General Alarm to First Due Units. A General Alarm is considered Heat Detectors, Pull Stations, Smoke Detectors. Also there is a green color strobe that is used on systems that is a Waterflow alarm if you have a sprinkler or standpipe system. A Blue Strobe would only be for Security System to let the Police Offers know which structure is having the alarm. John

    You should put the blue strobe outside above the emergency light and put the other siren in the house if you don’t have a security system in the house or expand the system to the house

    • @nics-systems-electric

      I could put a strobe on the outside for sure definitely couldn’t put a siren in the house as the system gets armed every night and would be extremely loud inside the house I get a notification on my phone anyways if the system goes off so there would be no point of having it in the house

    how does the fire alarm tie into the security system? do the trouble and alarm circuits wire into a zone or are there dedicated inputs?

    • @nics-systems-electric
      @nics-systems-electric  ปีที่แล้ว

      My systems aren’t connected together. The only purpose of that would be if the security system is monitoring the fire alarm system to report to the alarm company in that case, you would have zones from the security system, going into relays on the fire alarm panel for alarm supervisory trouble sometimes only alarm.

    • @nics-systems-electric
      @nics-systems-electric  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@justinhill8102 by outputs do you mean relays? You don’t want something that’s putting out power to go to the security system. You just want the zones from the security system to go onto the relays and then you have to program the zones in the security system for what you’re using them for
