I just got the model f and love it . I don’t need it 100% of the time but when my wife and I go to the grocery or mall my fatigue and walking decline quickly w MS … so we took the plunge and like you said it’s opened up my ability to leave the house more often ❤
Yea I feel this lol I have a Q700M HD custom from sunrise medical and it’s massive. I had to get a crane lift for my truck to load it in the back and my wife has a crane lift for her minivan and since we’re both wheelchair users we had to get a covered trailer to tow when we both go places like to Disneyland etc. Thankfully she isn’t a full time ecv user she only needs it sometimes vs me who needs it most of the time. You’d be surprised how incredibly complicated it is to do anything with people when we’re both disabled xD We’ve had quite a few terribly funny situations over the years.
Over the past few months Brooke has been dealing with some health issues and has used a scooter a few times so we can certainly imagine. Even the most accessible of spaces sort of assume you’ll have someone there to help. I bet you guys have gotten very creative in finding ways to be each others helper!
The F is great for small trips. The chair is less comfortable than my regular one. One thing that I have noticed when traveling with my model F is that I need to bring an extra battery. The chair seems to use a lot more battery than my C2. It is great for traveling and it’s much easier to pack in the back of the car. It is much lighter than the C2 with a weight of about 58 (52 with out battery)pounds total. We have done several trips with this chair and getting a cab was much easier as it folds up. I do recommend getting it as it will make travel easier and more fun for a spur of the moment things.
Thanks for this video. I have a Ci2 and am thinking about getting an F also. I just think it'd be easier for my husband and others to load in a vehicle. If I'm honest there are times it seems like a hassle for him to take apart the Ci2 just so I can tag along to the store. Or the weather isn't great and he's stuck trying to take it apart or put it together in the rain.
I would highly recommend you get the model F. One of the downsides of the model F is it is not as comfortable as the C2. I have not tried to switch cushions on mine, even though I’ve had it for over a year now lol. One other thing to be aware of is if you plan to be out for a while. You may want to bring a second battery or the power cord to charge it as you stop. I do love how the model F can fold smaller or a small as a stroller collapsed and can be put in the trunk. It makes it very convenient and easy to make doctors appointments by getting an Uber or Lyft. -A
Thank you so much for this video! We bought this Fi chair for my husband who has had multiple back surgeries and cannot walk far. He's not allowed to lift over 10 pounds, and I have trouble lifting it. Any tips for getting it in and out of an SUV?
Make sure you have it laying on the ground, with the chair side facing downward. Then, grasp it with one hand on the tip bar (where you put your foot when you are folding it) and the other hand on the bar where the the back of the seat connects to the bottom of the seat. That makes it more balanced and easier to lift. If that doesn’t work for you, consider getting a suitcase ramp that is at least 6 feet and folds in half length wise and width wise (we use this one: amzn.to/4b2sEZL ). You can just drive it up the ramp. No lifting required. And you can put the ramp in the car to take with you so you can wheel it back out. The ramp is 36 lbs, so less than the chair. We use this for his Whill C2 when we are taking long trips.
First video about WHILL that wasn't by WHILL itself or a seller of mobility solutions. Thank you.
I know right. I do plan to do an updated version.

That’s fantastic that it is giving you more freedom. I’m sure your wife is happy to have her errands partner back. I know I am! -Brooke
Thank you for the video!❤
You are welcome, I would recommend getting one. It is great for quick trips out. It will fit in most car trunks.
Loved watching this!
So glad you enjoyed it!

I use a WHILL C2 and am interested in model F for travel.
