Loved the look you created. I have small lips which never look symmetrical, smaller top to bottom. As much as I’ve tried to wear red, the look in my head NEVER looks like the reality I end up with 😂. I’m 71 and I’ve always loved makeup, but only now have I had the confidence to try colour. Very late to the party. Have a wonderful Christmas with your family and friends. Hi Caroline I hope you have a wonderful festive season and a happy New Year. I am not a red lip girl, but love it on other people. I'm super super pale/cool toned with a smaller mouth and it's too stark on me. Instead I reserve drama for the eyes and a more muted lip looks better on me. For my Xmas party I wore a smokey eye with some bright silver on the lid and used a mauve lip and cheek - much more of a "me" look. On Christmas day I'm in the kitchen for much of the time, so it's comfy clothes and a minimal makeup look tbh. I always wonder how people get really dressed up on Xmas day and still prepare an elaborate meal in a hot kitchen - not me anyway and I'm much more dressed down lol. Best wishes.

Japanese hyaluronics are all so good. I use the Hado Labo Premium Multimolecular serum and it’s really good and wonderfully hydrating. I think I'm one of the few people that really dislikes Hyaluronic, I can just about use it during the summer but avoid it like the plague during sub zero temps like we're having now & through all of winter, it just sucks all moisture out of my skin no matter what occlusive I use. I wonder if the new technology you showed will be better! Lovely look today. See you next year x
Doesn't work for me either and I'm extremely dry, rosacea and eczema prone. I find it quite irritating during the colder months tbh. I can use some in the Summer, but try to avoid anything with more than a smidge in the Winter.

Gorgeous look and so excited to try the shiseido products and the cream blush. Been loving the max factor peony one but it does wear off pretty quickly. Do you mind letting us know what kind of brush you used in the beginning to buff your concealer and foundation? I’ve followed your tips a lot with brushes and use smaller brushes on my face than I used to and it makes a world of difference. That brush seemed really great in that it was small (but not too small) and firm. Would love to know the brand. Thanks as always Caroline! Just love your videos. Happy Christmas. Beautiful look. I have delved into the red lip life this festive season for the first time in my 42 years! I love it! But what the hell is it with me and hyaluronic acid serums?! I havn’t found a single one that works for me and I’ve tried loads now. They all pill on me and dry my skin out terribly. I’ve tried applying to a damp face. I’ve left them to sink in before applying moisturiser. Nothing seems to help. I want in on this hyaluronic plumping effect but it just doesn’t like me. Help!

Ie can you manage with cleansers as my face goes blotchy and dry with just plain water but I worry that I'm not exfoliating properly. Please advise! P.S. wow need to save up for the Shiseido combo, hope it's worth the huge price tag .much love. Rachel x
