If I understand correctly, you killed the larvae, then while trying to dry them for feed or sale, houseflies moved in to use them as a food source. Oh man, that is annoying as heck! I would be soo angry. Luckily at least housefly maggots still have value. You can build a poorly constructed "solar oven" very easily and they create a lot more heat. You can build a very well constructed large "solar oven" also. All you really need is Aluminum Foil, Plastic Syran Wrap, Duct Tape or Glue, and a cardboard box or wood box. Actually, maybe if you just lay them on aluminum foil, maybe it creates enough heat on it's own to dry faster and keep the houseflies away?
