Bro. Michael's church is doing amazing. They are in an area of Dallas that desperately needed a local congregation. I have several clients in that area and I am thankful for a church I can send them to!

I love these podcasts! I would love to read your opinion on this thought experiment. In the Tanakh, we read about three tithes. The Levitical tithe, the poor tithe, and a feast tithe. I do believe in tithing and do tithe, however, if we give over our whole tithe to the priesthood are we not robbing the poor and ourselves in the tithe? Would it be more beneficial to divide the tithe into thirds and direct the flow to the three areas outlined and promoted in scripture? I do understand that the whole tithe could be directed internally toward the proper points, but how many churches are actively taking steps to follow through with the dispensing of the tithe in the biblically prescribed manner? I know of only a few churches that save a piece of the tithe to go toward celebrating/observing/teaching the biblical feasts, most don't even provide free galas, banquets, or celebratory church functions. That's one-third misused. God forbid they don't give toward the widow, orphan, and poor; that would be two-thirds misused. Is it possible a church may be just as guilty of robbing God in tithes because we only use it to pay a minister? One could say that ceremonial law found in the Torah is done away with, but that logic walked out destroys tithing, a ceremonial commandment, altogether. One could say that tithing predates the Torah, however, we know the Torah is the Christ, Immanuel, and has no beginning or end, so that is an impossibility as well. (I understand there are varying opinions about the previous statement.) I know what I do, but what do you suggest, Miqra bros? Thanks for reading and indulging me in this exercise!
AJ Holloway and Levi, I don't know if you'll read this but I am trying to understand the concept of time in Israel. So their day is based on sunrise and sundown correct? A day begins 6 pm correct? So if they don't have daylight savings like America does it always get dark around 5:30 to 6 pm regardless of season? Someone else told me that, in biblical times, hours expanded and contracted to fit the same number of hours every day regardless of season. Is that true? Also, Acts 2 Peter said it is only the 3rd hour of the day. Was that 9 am or 9 pm? Thank you for any insight.
when aj said to give out of your abundance, im getting tripped up over the scripture when the poor woman gave only 2 denari but she gave more than the people giving out of there abundance (Mark 12:41-44)
I’m glad you picked up on this passage cause this is a powerful image. The gospel of mark was showing that the one who is vulnerable (a widow) was more righteous than the ones who were supposed to help her
