Our beloved late Queen Elizabeth was a very astute lady who saw right through Meghan Markle. As someone has already said, she is very much missed, as is Prince Phillip. They were strong pillars in our society.
Well, of course William would say something to Harry about his worry that Meghan was not a good person for Harry to spend the rest of his life with. Especially is the Queen felt that way too. There was nothing wrong with William telling Harry to slow down.

IMO … several marriages weren’t allowed in the past, our late Queen regretted that deeply, government and church stepped in too so as Queen she had to forbid anything that would harm the Realm. Times have changed and as Harry was not ever gong to come to the throne she thought that he should marry his choice, right or wrong. There was also the fact that MM said she was pregnant and threatened to use the race card. Something she did any way. Queen Elizabeth gave permission,knowing MM was trouble, knowing MM’s lurid past, people are not allowed near the RF inner circle without being vetted, nonetheless QEII believed that with help they could make a Royal out of MM. sadly she did not believe for one minute her much loved grandson would, with his wife, turn traitor to her and her beloved country.

Our beloved late Queen was a very wise woman she saw through Meghan Markle very early on in the relationship of Harry and Meghan Markle, just as a lot of us British people did. You only had to look at our beloved late Queens face on the day of Harry and Meghan Markles wedding, that she knew Harry was making the biggest mistake of his life.
The late Queen was a gem, everyone respected her. And she ruled in a time where women were not even allowed to vote. Her only mistake was allowing M to marry H and giving them priviledges, even more so if she knew her type
We know a lot, but think about what the RF knew about her behind closed doors . Queen was sad at wedding and family under stress. 🇺🇲

Even since before the wedding that should have never happened, such-a-fraud had started bullying members of the BRF, from the old to their youngest children, and office staff. IMO, was visible then. I remember having to grapple with folding a buggy, holding a baby and trying to control a toddler whilst getting on a bus, people were very helpful. Needless to say I never travelled with them at peak hours.
Harry still doesn't understand that had he had no Royal connections but just been a successful professional (e.g. architect or lawyer), Meghan would not have given him the time of day. She was on the lookout for someone who could enhance her status. In my opinion there is a term for women like her.

It is inconceivable that once Harry announced to them that he was seriously thinking of marrying her the Queen would not have had MI5 investigate her past and find out everything there is to know about her. Therefore they had no illusions about the sort of person she was. I am also sure that they were not thrilled with what they discovered which is the reason the Queen looked so miserable during the wedding.
