This type of videos are amazing and would love to see more of it in the future! The camera is very fast though, it would be nice to slow turn the camera around, just so we could actually see what you wanted to show. It's moving very VERY fast most of the time, so thats the only thing to keep on mind while filming the next one, everything else is so cool and interesting, your voice is very calming also. Nice vid!

This video caught my eye because I lived in Dubai in the 1970s when it was a small town. Unfortunately I couldn't watch as the jumpy footage made me feel nauseous :/

Really interesting video! Would like to smell single ingredients like you were able too. I buy a lot of samples and sample at stores before I buy. I still don't know what Oud, Frankincense and other notes I like for sure. Souqs looked fun!

OMG how insane! It would be so overwhelming but amazing!! Did you know which smaller local shops you should check out ahead of time, or did you just wing it? I love burning middle eastern incense.
I would love to know which middle eastern perform brands I should check out. I tried some Swiss Arabian but didn’t love them. Can’t wait to see your video about what you bought!

Wow.....thank you for bringing us along. What did you name "your" fragrance? Are their prices for fragrances comparable to what we pay here in the U.S? Did you have an opportunity to talk about perfume oils at those markets or maybe you could already recommend a house to me. I'd like to get my hands on some genuine "spicy" Arabic oils. Can't wait to see your video on that water-based fragrance you purchases. Loved, loved this video!!
Thank you so much! I actually didn't name my fragrance, but now I will! Haha... the prices were great - the cheapest fragrance I purchased was about $2.60 and the most expensive was about $90. But you can go higher in price. The oils/attars were on average about $30 - and they were great. But there are lots of brands out there that do them now like Lux Oud etc. Abdul Samad Al Qurashi is also pretty widespread now I would think.🌹Xo Sam

Thank you! I worked with a girl that always smelled amazing..... our job had sommelier classes so what I could pick up was jammy, light clove, slight ginger spicy-enough to feel warm. I asked her what she was wearing and all she said is that her dad lives in Dubai and sends her oud oil.....
I go online and buy some random oud and it is wayyy to anamalic.

I looked up a description of oud and this is what I found: it’s a resin from a Large tropical evergreen tree called aquilaria- 15 species. I wonder if they grow them especially for perfume/incense?

Not surprised at all about the variety and the importance of perfumes in Arab culture-world. They invented perfume in about 4th century BC!
To be concise in Mesopotamia and Egypt. Before even European thoughts about adopting it! So is quite common thing.

Fantastic video! I am so happy to see you had a great time in DXB. Adding to munkaze808's comment on the camera work, the problem is with the camera not the user. I am assumuming this was shot on a phone (possibly iPhone?). IMHO video stabilisation on Samsung and Pixel phones is way superior. Just my two cents.

Absolutely stunning and amazing video. Too bad camera was very fast with no focus on things viewers would like to see. I actually had to pause many times to enjoy the whole video because I enjoyed it so much. Dubai is definitely on my list for the next holiday destination.

At this time I was in Dubai It seems that I needed to start shopping early & branch out further into the old souk. I thought I would return again last year but coro erupted.🙄 There were fragrance kiosks inside Festival City Mall, one had a beautiful variety of Middle Eastern perfumes & Oud to burn. They were expensive, but the more that you buy, the more bonuses they gift you. I finally found THE scent on 1 of 2 women shopping in IKEA & I approached, commented & asked where to get it. Oman!😂 They were from Oman smh. This vlog is utterly amazing! Did you take an Abra?

How did you manage to choose amidst such a vast array of ouds, bakoors & fragrances? I think I’ll need to do a little more research before my trip or I’ll need to be there for a month! 😜💖
Well if you have a few days just to look at perfumes, you should be fine. But you will be seeing things to sniff *everywhere*, even if you're just walking at the marina, so be quick to understand whether it's good quality or not. I recommend going into the shops that have actual oud in the windows as they most likely use real oud. You'll have an amazing time!🌹Xo Sam

Set speed to low people when watching this. interesting video and you are very camera friendly.but please have some nice flow with camera. the viewer cant enjoy in your filming. to fast left right, up, down, shaking. I am sure you must smell divine. ❤🍀
