Actually AJ is a futball fan and Redone who wrote the song asked to perform it with him . Messi had 3 surprises at the event 1 his favorite singer opened the show 2nd he won futballer of the year and 3rd he got meet her after the show. there is a shot of Messi raising his shirt and showing his t-shirt underneath with a print of AJ on it. in the week after this she got 100k new followers.
While the music industry knows Angelina very well, I estimate about 15% of the general public knows her. No surprise Angelina, as beautiful as her appearance is, got many whistles on the red carpet but since so few know her, they had no idea she is 17 years old. Regardless, being exposed to hundreds of millions viewers, is a huge step to achieving her lifelong goal to sing for the whole world.

As AJ is a football/soccer fan herself, it must have been phantastic to sing in front of those players. Those in the audience will take home, the picture of a young stunning woman with a great voice. Telling their friends at home about it, making them curious.

Adam, this event was seen by over 300 million people world wide. Obviously, Angelina performance received a level of MSM attention that she has yet to receive. As expected she looked stunningly beautiful and elegant. The audience was mesmerized.

Our tiny little girl with the grownup voice was 17 on Jan. 10, 23 and is now 6'1" tall and could be a super model, but I hope the major portion of her career will be dedicated to her music and taking the world to a better place. I don't think she even realizes this power she holds over us and the need to hear that signature voice to fill that empty void within all of us. Angelina Jordan is in fact the "Benchmark" for all other vocalist to try as they might to achieve. I have a number of pictures of celebrities whose height is known, for example, Austin Butler, who played Elvis, is 6ft tall, and AJ published a picture of her standing next to him, she was at least 1 inch taller than him, and she had to look down at him.

First, Norwegian-Swedish Angelina Jordan performed for Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé and the rest of the world’s football elite.
Then the singer hung out with the players backstage in Paris.

The meeting took place at the star-studded Salle Pleyel on Monday evening when the world’s best football stars were crowned.
They were celebrated with the duet “The best”, as the Swedish-Moroccan producer Ready written for the International Football Association (Fifa) and performed with Angelina Jordan.

Was in Paris, audio was poor,they didn't know they were seeing the world's next superstar!! Not her style but she killed it and got international exposure.
It's thrilling to see Angelina take a world stage like this! At first listening, I felt the song was mediocre, but then it became sticky in my memory and I found myself humming it and listening again. Always enjoy Angelina. She could whistle the phone book and I'd be delighted. But I think this is just the start of her taking a wider stage and preparing to launch her new album. She promises it will be this year!
Hahaha. Rachel, I had just posted how plain the song was and not one that I would go out of my way to listen to again.... but then, like you, I got an ear worm and the song kept running through my head as I went about my day. I actually enjoy the song a little more each time I hear it now. This is ridiculous (in the kindest way). I'd say it's a delayed Angelina time bomb.
There were big glitches with the backing sound that she had to power through as the diva she is. Redone was commissioned by FILA to do the song. It was at the awards ceremony in Paris. I’m going to assume the lack of audience reaction was partly due to the glitches. As always Adam, thanks for the great reaction!
Great reaction as usual Adam! Now, as for the lack of audience enthusiasm!!! Many people, and especially her fans don't seem to comprehend that this is a huge event for the world's top football players. A big part of the audience was totally obsessed with the awards. Add to that the fact that her performance was just before the awarding the 2 biggest awards (outstanding female and male players of the year). No matter what might have been occurring on the stage, many in the audience were in total anticipation of the winners being announced and nothing else mattered. Also almost every time the camera panned the audience it was actually focused directly on the 6 finalists who I am sure were totally absorbed in their own emotions at the moment. And, let us not forget that in most countries outside the USA audiences are almost always much more reserved!

Adam, always pleased to hear your thoughts and reactions to Angelina. Your insightful analysis and musical background have helped me to appreciate Angelina even more than I already do, if that's even possible! There were apparently some sound issues with the mixing, but Angelina, being the trooper and professional that she is, displayed total control. That crowd had sat through an hour and a half of award presentations and speeches and seemed bored and tired. If they only knew they were listening to the next Great Superstar! They'll all look back on this day and will probably boast they they were there and heard Angelina!
Nice to see you occasionally pop in with an Angelina reaction Adam. These little steps by her team and Republic Records bringing her exposure to the world is well calculated with the release of her new Album this year. What we Angels all know already is, this is just the beginning of one of the greatest artists to come along in many decades. And Yes Adam, the sound engineering was pure crap on this, unfortunate but true. Angelina carried this song the best she could. This was in Paris for the FIFA awards show, the gentlemen with her is RedOne (Nadir Khayat) a Moroccan singer song writer and producer, quite well known who wrote this song for the FIFA anthem for 2023. As far as the audience, a whole bunch of "footballers" without a clue who she is. Good news is she had exposure to over 300 million that viewed this performance.

This was FIFA, which organizes the world championships, which you confuse with UEFA which is European. Whether the best players in the world all play in Europe is another matter.
Adam, so good to see you again! What an incredible global exposure for AJ. Yes, sound issues. This is Paris and FIFA. Yes, RedOne is the writer. The performance was slotted near the end, just before the last two awards of the night---best female player and best male player. You saw shots of the football stars, possibly nervous about the announcements to come. I caught glimpses of some of the guys being a bit star-struck. Angelina's posts all indicated her excitement. I think the placement of this performance was brilliant. The song is a bit of an ear worm, and the audience goes home remembering that last performance...... Well placed, like a good book of poetry. Now, I am NOT saying this song is poetry. Not at all. I'm talking about the strategy and what it means for Angelina's big year, 2023. Loved your enthusiasm, Adam. Grandma Ellen, out.
This song composed by RedOne is attempting to be an anthem for FIFA, the worldwide organization representing the largest and most popular sport in the worlds.
A barefoot princess with a hypnotic voice did it brilliantly. There are sections in this track that intentionally imitate the sounds of a stadium.
Great reaction, as I always expect from you, Adam! This event provided enormous, world-wide, exposure for her, compliments of, and to, RR. Regarding the audience reaction, or lack thereof, there was quite a lot of controversy swirling around this awards ceremony. Who the winners were was already widely known well ahead of the event. There were rumors of oddities in the voting for Messi, to the point that Real Madrid boycotted the event. Alexis Putellas, the Spanish footballer who won the women's trophy has been seriously injured since early last summer and hasn't played since, which caused some disention. Even she wasn't smiling when the camera focused on her, not to mention her competitors for the prize. Finally, RedOne's lyrics are not particularly inclusive of the women footballers, but the atmosphere in Salle Pleyel was already negative well prior to Angelina's marvelous performance.
It was a great exposure moment. Getting her face and voice out into places where shes kinda around but now the enormous sports community gets a glimpse. Admittedly shes in a room full of jocks waiting for the after party and git outta those suits.
Angelina is going to give Taylor Swift major competition for album of the year in the 2024 Grammy awards. It is coming out soon.

I don't doubt Angelina will be well worthy, but but sometimes there are politics involved in the Grammys and she may not win, even if she deserves to. The Grammys feature a "Best New Artist" award, but I bet she would grab that more easily, depending on the field. My opinion only, but some great stars have emerged with that award.

Great comments. Angelina was invited to perform at the FIFA awards, broadcast to about 300 million people! I'm sure you were aware. This is a huge audience and opportunity for exposure for her. Redone was responsible for inviting her, another huge honor as he is one of the most respected producers in the industry internationally. The song was written not by Angelina, but its purpose was to pay tribute to the best in soccer. Angelina will release an album in the next few months of all originals which guaranteed will be very different than this. Also, I don't know if you are aware that Angelina performed for concerts in Norway this past summer and all of the performances are on TH-cam. Many to choose from. You may want to check them out. FIFA ordered this song from Redone (Nadir Khayat, multi Grammy winner) especially for this event. It was delivered, done (A football anthem no more and no less) . Every professional musician has to sing something that he doesn't like so much, but Angelina has mastered this task with flying colours. Exceptional was how professional Angelina mastered the disaster of the technique. First, the volume on their mic was set way too low and than the catastrophic bugs with the background music. Like I said, Angelina shone throughout her performance. 👣💯 *AJ* 💯👣
Another collaboration she did which wasn't her style was Above the Water, but I like it, her vocals make everything sound good and the song is energetic and uplifting.
Not to mention her collaboration with Alan Walker - great outcome as always - she sounds beautiful ;)

Thank you for this presentation. i love the way they are carefully exposing and cultivating Angelina's vocal talent and stage presence. In a world of burnout...and now you see it now you don't......there are serious stepping stones here, important foundations to help her long term career path really blossom. One could argue this was an under performed song....but the important thing here with this song was massive audience exposure.......It wasn't so much about bursting on the scene but rather allowing her presence to fill the minds and hearts of the audience.. in an almost subliminal way a kind of precursor to the real deal when her new album is released, .... Then i am hopeful the record company will really support her public image and performing skills and absolutely show case her incredible talent to the world. Thanks again.

It's pretty apparent the audience did not come for the music, almost to the point of being rude. Really not much to say about the dumb lyrics, so I won't, but my joy is in the spectacular young lady singing, no matter the lyrics. She was just wonderful, hell, she was unbelievably gorgeous, and I am so happy for her with all this exposure, letting the world see, giving them just a taste of her extraordinary year to come with her album release. Angelina is the gold standard. And in spite of those lyrics, I really loved the song!

No one will be able to push Angelina. Monetization was not included in her DNA. Her goal was stated at the age of six and she still lives up to her statement.

The sound had catastrophic issues and Angelina, as you noticed, also noticed but she soldiered on as the pro she is.
Love your reaction and Angelina's performance. There are certainly issues with the production that really ruin this. Hopefully a better version of this will come out.
The audience was subdued the entire show. The "best female football player in the world" was announced right after the performance, and the crowd pretty much sat on their hands.
FIFA is not the most loved organization in the world, even if football (soccer) is the most popular sport.
Hello Adam, the sound engineer totally messed it up but she sings it great. the viewers were the entire broadcast at a funeral service barely any applause and motionless faces except Mbabe who sapped. the good thing is that 300,000,000 millions around the world saw it. and I hope that a clean version will come out soon It's also kind of a catchy tune because I keep humming it to myself
This was an awards show, and a very important award... it may have been MVP, I'm not sure... was right after. I think there was a lot of eagerness and maybe some nerves in the audience members. They weren't as stoic by the end, but still not "animated" per se. There were definitely sound issues. Such a shame. RedOne wrote the anthem. There are a few clips of him with Angelina in the studio, and he seems to get her to relax and laugh. I think they said the audience was something crazy like 300 million worldwide. This tune has been running on loop in my head since I first heard it a couple of days ago. Of course Angelina smashes it! Yes, there are sound issues with this video. There are videos with proper sound and still images. It was held in Paris. The women in the audience looked annoyed that they were seeing a girl way taller, younger, prettier, and more talented than them .🤣🤣

Welcome back Adam. Nice reaction. Redone wrote it for the FIFA held in France, and I watched it and to me Angie was the highlight with this boring show. The people were so stiff throughout the night. Angie, with her style and voice saved that song 🎵 and made it tolerable. I bet if she wrote a song or did a cover for the awards, it would of been a whole lot better. IMOP. 🙂👍❤

First, Norwegian-Swedish Angelina Jordan performed for Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé and the rest of the world’s football elite.
Then the singer hung out with the players backstage in Paris.
- When Messi said he was a big fan of mine, I was so moved that I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, says the 17-year-old to Aftonbladet.
The meeting took place at the star-studded Salle Pleyel on Monday evening when the world’s best football stars were crowned.
They were celebrated with the duet “The best”, as the Swedish-Moroccan producer Ready written for the International Football Association (Fifa) and performed with Angelina Jordan.
- Redone recruited me for this, she says of the producer who has worked with Lady Gaga and Marc Anthony, among others.
- He already wanted to take me to the football World Cup in Dubai last year. It was a huge deal for me, but unfortunately I couldn’t.

Adam, as always, a very nice reaction. I've seen other comments saying the distortion was from an out if sync backing track. Hopefully, she'll have a studio version without those issues. Not crazy about the lyrics... "From the Golden Gate to the Empire State" seems like the song is limited to the USA. Well, I know we took the women's championship but Brazil won the men's. "From pole to pole and East to West" would have been more appropriate.
You should check out Angelina's performance in Los Angeles for the 20th Unforgettable Asian-American Awards in December. She brought down the house. This audience in Paris looked like they just found out that they didn't win WWII by themselves.
However, Little Angel sang beautifully and with superb style. Nothing can be taken away from that.
I was also very irritated by this restricting US-centric line. Especially because FIFA always emphasizes that they care about the whole world.
By the way, Messi and his teammates probably will be very happy to hear that Brazil has adopted them. 😉
Speaking of the Unforgettable Gala - it shows that you have to choose your songs carefully. They took on Bohemian Rhapsody fairly reserved - obviously there weren't that many rock fans in attendance that night - but went wild with "I have nothing," especially the ladies.

My guess is that they were wondering who this European looking girl was and why she was there until Angelina said how proud she was to be part of this beautiful Asian community. I think that broke the ice. BTW, she's 1/4 Persian, so that makes her half Asian by my reckoning.

Your reckoning is technical correct, but I suspect a Persian, Turkish, or Arabic ethnic background would be very helpful in the Asia Pacific Islander community of America. Instead, she highlighted her Japanese heritage during the red carpet interview, saying, "My mother's side is half Japanese."
Sound issues yep🙄.. pretty disappointing...I loved about the first half of the song-basically her solo part and she looked stunning😊♥️ my favorite line is 'prepping like a soldier' because that's what's she's been doing her whole life..

Angelina saved this performance, while Redone kept taking it down. It would be nice to think that this is the new "We Are the Champions", but not much chance of that. The lyrics that Redone sang by himself seem to have no place in this song, and is, perhaps, why the crowd shots show bored facial expressions. What the heck does "puppy love", "moonwalking" and "Peter Pan" have to do with the rest of the song?
He did write the song, including the lyrics which Angelina sang. It’s a shame sound issues effected the performance! But they did their best and Angelina was great as always
